((Just a Mod note: His name is Logan, not Kim.))

Valco held up the bag with the bottles in it, shaking it slightly so that the glass containers knocked against each other. "I think that I've got it handled, Chrys. You know, kinda hard to mess up with a bag." Fate must have been watching closely, though, and as he said that the bag slipped from his hand. He snatched at it with his right hand, just barely catching it before it would have fallen on a rock.

"See? Like I said, I've got it handled." He adjusted his sunglasses, vision locked down so tightly in front of him that he didn't even see Blade standing off to the side of the building. Normally he'd have restricted himself to maybe a half bottle of something, but this was a day where he just didn't give a damn. The day in question was the same that, long ago, he had been thrown into a forced state of orphanhood by the Corporation. The liquor he had started the day with was from one of a few bottles that he had salved from the Black Falcon after it was scrapped.

"Uh huh. Yeah. I can see why you're our captain, because you sure inspire respect and confidence when you're so drunk you can barely stand." CD said flippanly as she passed Valco with a roll of her eyes. "I hope you die of alcohol poisoning!" She shot back over her right shoulder as an after thought. But as soon as the words left her lips she knew that she might have just pushed it a little to far right then. CD knew he was in a bit of a bad mood, but something inside of her just made her push that little bit more. "The only thing that you have a handle on at any given time is your c**k."

Koraj growled as he heard about him. "Ey, I only bring up such arguements five times a week. Once every weekday and I let you rest on the weekends." He smarted off. "Sides, you guys really don't know how to fight. It's much more interesting up front. Give it a shot." He sighed. Logan groaned as he sat up normally. "If anyone gets too close, I'll just blast em to hell with a melta missile.

Valco stopped in mid-stride, dropping the bag of bottles harmlessly to the ground. His lips pulled back in a snarl as he stared at the back of Chrys' head, hand resting on the grip of his Fulgrim pistol. "Take that back," he growled, mustache bristling up. His thumb spun on the power selector of the pistol, locking it in at a point where it would burn and leave a small scar. "You have no right to criticize me today, Chrys. Be glad that I don't just shoot you right off and leave the body for whatever rats might still be alive this hellhole." He picked up the bag and walked past her, muttering under his breath as he moved toward the Gestalt.

"If you can't take it don't give it." She shot back, the hand she had in her pocket tightening around her pocket knife even as she flicked the blade open with her thumb. The muscles in her arm moved a little, shifting the tattoo she had on her upper arm. "You give me a hard time day in, d-day out." CD stopped and took a deep breath as her right arm started to tremble uncontrollably. "If you kill me, no one's going to be left to patch your sorry hide back together. I know it's a hollow threat."

Ancilla made her way to the nearest town from the base, her mech making it rather quick, although the way back would be a bit slower. The water reserves at the base were dangerously low and she was the one to fill them at the nearest town when ever this was so. She sighed under her breath as she stopped before the city wall, they had seen her at least once every month for the past year, same girl, same mech with massive improvement of what it used to be though.
"Hey mark! You wanna open up for me?" She said over the com system her dad had specifically designed for her mech. "Yeah yeah....come on Cilla.." said the rather tubby man at the top of the wall. Her fumbled with the switch to open the gates for a moment before they slid apart. "Much thanks!" She said in a hyperactive voice that was so familiar to the town.
She stopped her sand-rider with the others, climbing out, and slipping on the drop down ladder. "Oh fuu-" She held on to it for a moment before dropping, ready for the impact this time. She grinned as she crouched on the ground, before taking to her feet again and starting to walk to the market place, it was swarming with people, this city was one of the only ones left with a natural aquifer still resideing under it, luckily the major power of the coorporation havn't found out about it yet.

Valco turned and raised the pistol, kicking the energy down on the pistol a bit. At the setting it was on it would sting like hell but not leave any kind of permanent mark. "Listen, CD. I give you a hard time because you give me one. As I recall, it was you that started all of this pettiness all that time ago anyway." After another moment he holstered the pistol again, swearing under his breath as he moved toward the Gestalt. Odds were that, by the end of the day, he'd end up doing something that he'd regret. However, he hoped that it wouldn't come until well later.

CD rolled her eyes and got off a parting shot as she passed Valco and got back into the Gestalt. "Screw you. If you hadn't commented about my tattoo I wouldn't have said anything. I know that you have issues, so do I." Her arm started to twitch violently again and CD just about ran into the crawler to get into the sanctuary of her kitchen.

Valco swore again and moved into the shade of the Gestalt, placing a hand on the zip pulley. The metal bracket attached to the line locked down around his wrist and hand, holding him securely in place as the motor holding the rope activated, hauling him and the bottle of liquor quickly onto the deck of the common room. From there he easily made his way back to the center section of the Crawler.

The entire section served partly as storage for a few of the Mechs but it was mostly a large workshop. Valco's bunk might have been in the front section, but he quite often slept in the shop. He left a few of the bottles that he had claimed sitting on a shelf near the door between compartments, and hopefully it would serve to keep the others out of his area. The bottle that was in his hand as he sat down was dark, but nor murky at all. "Here's to you, uncle Mack," he muttered, propping his feet up as he pulled the cork free with his teeth, taking a deep drink.

The table that he had propped up his feet on had the disassembled parts of the light ST cannon off of the right arm of his mech along with a few hydraulic rams. However, in the center in a small glass case was a finely made pistol, well oiled and cared for. It hadn't been fired in nearly thirteen years, but Valco knew it that a bullet would fly from it perfectly if he pulled the trigger. A quiet laugh left his lips as he took another deep drink, sitting back in the dim lighting of his shop, alone in his thoughts.

((I am detecting a very... interesting parallel here. xd ))

Blade was still leaning back against the vid-phone terminal, puffing away on his cancer stick, when the Captain busted out the front door, fumbling over bottles of liquor in a drunken stupor as CD chastised him. He continued to stand there, smoking his cigarette in silent indifference as he observed the scene. His expression then took on a tone of disenchantment as their domestic dispute progressed, and the Captain eventually began aiming his weapon at CD and making threats. "Cute..." Blade remarked. He knew that the Captain was usually one to back his threats, but there was no way he was going to shoot CD, no matter how drunk he was. Or so Blade thought, anyway. CD just liked to push his buttons, simply because she knew she could... and get away with it. His eyes suddenly widened when he watched the two begin to fill back into the Gestalt. "Hey!" He yelled as he pushed himself off from the support of the vid-phone terminal, now standing straight. "Where ya goin'!? We just got here!" he exclaimed. But his pleas seemed to have fallen upon deaf ears. After receiving an answer in the form of dead silence, Blade took an extra long drag of his smoke, trying to finish off the remainder of it quickly. "Christ." he muttered as he flicked the cigarette butt off to his right, exhaling a thick cloud of smoke before plodding along after them.

CD held her right arm bent at the elbow, with her forearm pressed down hard against the top of the long central island in the kitchen. Her teeth were clenched together as she concentrated on trying to calm down and stop the trembling and the spasms that turned her normally steady limbs to useless burdens. She knew there had been damage done when her back had been fixed, she knew that she would have to live with it for the rest of her life. But she could walk again. Finally the shaking subsided and CD let out a breath that she hadn't even known she had been holding. She waited for a few seconds, breathing deeply before she cracked her knucles and took her sunglasses off, hanging them from the front of her shirt. As much as it was going to kill her, she had something that she needed to do. Despite her love of ticking Valco off, she knew that she had gone to far, especially today. Brushing a few wayward strands back from her face, CD started to wind her way up through the crawler to where the workshop was. Pushing the door open, she stepped inside, moving quietly but making no effort to be silent.

((Sorry, Stranger. I had already decided on how I wanted for Valco to develop before I caught myself on it. Don't worry, though, the similarities will probably stop there.))

Valco didn't even have to turn to look and see who it was coming into his shop. The boots thudding on the deck were familiar enough for him to know who it was. He set the bottle back on the table, sighing quietly as he crossed his arms over his chest, tugging at his beard gently with his left hand. "So what brings you in here, Chrys? Just coming in to insult me more?" He leaned back in his chair, feet still sitting firmly on the desk. "Want to tell me again that I should die of alcohol poisoning? There's really no need to do that, though. It'll catch up with me someday and I'll either need a new liver or a fancy coffin." Another quiet sigh passed his lips as he stood up and turned to face Chrys, eyes looking heavy and sad.

--Meanwhile--

The heavy feet of the massive Havok class mech, the Faustus thudded across the dry wastes, creating large clouds of dust as they hit the ground. At the moment it was by itself, but the cloud of dust approaching from the west signaled that support would be there soon. The pilot within reached forward, gloved fingers wrapping tightly around the mouthpiece of his comlink. "Doom Horn, come in. This is Commander Cyron, authorization code 5713 Tango Omega Nu." There was a moment of garbled static before a response came in a cool female voice. "This is the Doom Horn, Commander Cyron. We have picked up on your homing signal and will be at your position in approximately five minutes. It'll be a pleasure to have you aboard."

Waking with a slight stir, Sergius opened his eyes to the expansive control panel of the Gestalt, his face pressed against a panel with the words 'Low Fuel - Reactor Failure' flashing across its black backed screen. “Well…s**t…” his voice was hoarse, a small amount of drool streaming from the corner of his lips.

Wiping his cheek clear of drool, and rubbing his bloodshot eyes with the heel of his hand, Sergius came relatively quickly to his feet, a rush of blood blinding him for a moment, “Gah…”

Stretching his arms behind his back, Sergius noticed a slight chilling sensation running up and down his legs. Upon further inspection, he came to realize that his pants were nowhere on his person, with only some ratty boxers protecting his modesty. Bracing himself on various levers and panels as he walked, Sergius stumbled across the spacious cockpit, mumbling nonsensically to himself.

Derron looked at Koraj

"Right, because you know that'll go down well. Fareye mechs aren't made for close combat. That's why I have a sniper. Besides, even if I don't get shot at, I'm still more accurate. I can pick off that high ranking officer that's been giving you s**t before you can blink"

Her eyes went from an intense sky blue to a smouldering ornage in about three seconds time before going a deep chocolate brown rimmed with gold that laced through to touch at her puils, and the gold strands never stopped swirling around the dark brown of her iris. CD crossed her hands over her chest, unconsciously mimicking Valco, then stuffed them deep into her pockets. Apolosize. Just say it. Come on. You can do it. But she couldn't, she couldn't say the words. Couldn't force them out through where they stuck at the back of her throat. In a way, she wasn't surprised. But she had to do something, so CD did the next thing that she could think of, and made a peace offering. "I'm gonna go back and get some supplies for the kitchen and the infirmary. You want me to get you anything?"
