Kefka-Daisuki-Desu! Quote: AND FYI cloud had barely any guilt of zacks death I guffawed."Love is not consolation. It is Light." Lmfao, apparently Clouds heart only broke when Aeris died. I had to mention how Cloud lived as Zack, took his sword, nearly cried over him, had a song playing when he died, had a million flashbacks of him, a drawn out death scene etc etc.
No, still, Cloud saying he will miss Aeris is more deep than anything. (Because God forbid some one miss their friend that dies.)
@Twin--- That's alright, but I really prefer that we no longer name drop. x'D You can always PM me if you want to get something out. I'll totally talk to you. x] It's never nice to call someone pathetic because of their views though, and I can't stand patronizing.

*pops in yet again*
Lunar- Well I understand about the whole not playing FFVII thing. I mean the majority of Clotis I've met, besides you guys, became clotis after watching AC. I mean that's totally fine but I dont see how you can take evidence from FFVII to back up your points if you have never played the game! But I guess if you have solid points that's ok but you cant really have an opinion if you've never played the game. I mean I first liked Clerith after KH1 but then I bought FFVII and really became Clerith at that moment. If that makes sense. ^^; OH! and our siggys match < 3 I think we are a match made in heaven Lunar
*huggles Twindream* I remember being like that once..I think xD;;

It just proves how little she understands Cloud....

Sorry for being away for so long. I've been busy with school and now I'm ill. Excuses. xP I know.. sigh, well.. rabids what can you do with them, really? They'll believe what they want to believe. Does it really matter which is the truth though?
Either way, Kishimoto DID say it's up to us to decide for ourselves who we think Cloud is fit for..
I still say Tifa though. xP
Still they can't deny that CloTi is possible because it sure is. Just as people think Yuffster and Vinny can be a couple.. even if I still don't see anything.. o.oll
I must be getting old...

Could I ask where he said this? Because it runs counter to the direction that the compilation has been running recently. Additionally, refresh my memory on what his role in the compilation is? It doesn't ring any bells.

Hold on.. I'll copy paste it.. I got this from a site called Loveless, a Tifa Lockhart Shrine. Want the link? It's here: http://tifa.nu/tifa/Quote: Although aspects of the game might suggest otherwise, according to interviews given by the staff of FF7, Cloud's love interest was never pre-determined. It was deliberately left open to interpretation, for the player to choose between Tifa and Aerith. Tetsuya Nomura, who wrote FF7's original storyline and whose idea it was to include Tifa as a character, stated in a 2002 interview translated by Yam:
"I'd say, [who Cloud likes] is all how you perceive the game. Cloud, as you know, is a very popular character, so I don't want to confirm the answer either way. Since the players have affection towards him, I want to leave it up to the players to decide who Cloud likes."
That is why in-game there is the love parameter minigame where in the end, you get to take this person out on a date.

That is why in-game there is the love parameter minigame where in the end, you get to take this person out on a date. So it is a pre-compilation quote. However, I do note a somewhat glaring error in the above. Nomura was character designer, not the story writer. He contributed, but Nojima wrote the story. Yes he's listed under "original story by", but so is Sakaguchi, and this refers to the contributions they gave to the overall story (Nomura's was axing Aerith, and Sakaguchi's was the mechanics of the lifestream, IIRC).
I'd also like to note that the affection mechanic decides who likes Cloud, not who Cloud likes.
In any case, in subsequent materials, Nomura et. all seem to have stepped away from this "it's up to you" position, in favor of being more concrete with their information.
