Strange House Guest Location: Main Shop Thread Page: 570 Date: Feb 01, 2008 LINKTehTwi Larksparrow went rigid at the yowl. It wasn't exactly familiar per se, but something about it stirred up bad memories. Fur slightly ruffled, she turned to see the last of Moonstar's kits she wanted to see hurtling toward her. So that was who the cry belonged to. Darkpaw had barely spoken a full sentence to her at all of their previous meetings combined, no wonder her voice wasn't as fresh in her mind as it should have been. There was no chance for her to continue on her walk, she would have to see what the little furball wanted.TehTwi "Ginger would work," she replied absentmindedly. "I think we're pretty low on stock though, and digging more up might take a bit longer than a silly Riverclan cat could wait. I could give her some water mint temporarily though, we're practically swimming in it."
Her dedication to her job overshadowed her uneasiness around Darkpaw and her reluctance to return to camp and Larksparrow slipped through the entrance once more, not watching to see if Darkpaw was following. The brown and white cat ducked into the medicine cat den and nosed about for the proper plant, finally picking up a bundle of leaves still attached to a stem that was more square than round about the middle and crested with clumps of small, dry, light colored flowers. The strong scent of mint flooded her nose as she bounded out into camp again. TehTwi The medicine cat entered the apprentice den, keeping her head held high to avoid trailing the leaves in the dirt. As her eyes adjusted to the dim light she noted that two nests were occupied, one by Shadowclan's brilliant crimson genius and one by the newcomer whose fishy scent was still alien to Larksparrow. Foxpaw seemed restless, but what was more interesting was that, stomachache aside, Tearpaw didn't seem too horrified at being in another clan's camp.
She put the water mint on the ground and pushed it toward Tearpaw.
"I see your stomach's noticed our prey is a bit different from fish," she teased. "Chew up those leaves, four or five should do it," she mewed gently. Larksparrow supposed some of the other cats might wonder why she wasn't adverse to treating a cat from another clan, but she had no quarrel with Tearpaw yet, and after all, in a quarter moon the kit would be back where she belonged, right?

More Foreigners Location: Main Shop Thread Page: 575 Date: Feb 01, 2008 DATETehTwi Larksparrow was walking back to camp with a large chunk of newly dug up ginger in her mouth when the metallic scent of blood overwhelmed the tangy flavor of the plant. Dropping her find on the ground, she took off toward camp. Had a Shadowclan cat been injured?
As her paws churned Larksparrow suddenly became aware of the fact that she was running alongside a trail blazed by droplets of blood, but it wasn't Shadowclan as she had initially feared. Windclan!
The white and brown blur slid into camp and came to a halt in front of the medicine cat den, almost skidding into the patient. As soon as she saw the extent of her wounds Larksparrow hissed at her apprentice.
"Why isn't she inside?" Without waiting for an answer she continued. "Oh well, it's too late to move her now, can't have her loosing any more blood." Larksparrow viewed the Windclan cat with the same concern she had with Tearpaw. Frostburn, if she remembered the name correctly, was a pure Windclan cat, and therefore it her responsibility to save her.
I am not Thistletail.
"She needs some water," Larksparrow mewed, flicking her tail in the direction of the warrior apprentices but singling out no one in particular. "There's clean moss to the right of the herbs in the medicine cat den."
"Good job getting chervil, and you applied it perfectly" she praised Starpelt. "But it won't help much if all that dirt stays in her wounds. I want some goldenrod out here for when she wakes up, and as soon as you're back, lick."
She carefully pulled the cobwebs from the large red slash that ran down Frostburn's back, not even flinching at the bright red flow staining her muzzle as she ran her tongue across the cut. When she was satisfied that it was clean she reapplied the cobwebs, gently pressing on them with one paw to slow the bleeding while started the task of freeing Frostburn's back legs from their boots of mud. Turning her head and spitting a few times to clear her mouth of the metallic tang, Larksparrow looked around to see if any of the apprentices were back with water. She would have to take the first drink from the moss to keep licking at this pace.
Looking down at her own fur, Larksparrow realized that her white pelt had been a perfect canvas for the paint of battle. By Starclan what a sight she must be! Page: 607 Date: Feb 02, 2007 LINKTehTwi Larksparrow dropped her ginger for the second day in a row when she saw Moonstar's tail retreating into the shadows of the medicine cat den from her vantage point at the camp entrance. At least this time she'd be able to find it quickly when she came back later, she'd rooted around for some time before she recovered it in the woods. It only took a few rabbit hops for her to reach the other side of camp, just in time to see Foxheart leave.
"What is going on here?" she yowled and she slipped inside, glaring at Moonstar. "This cat needs rest and is in no shape to be talking, whatever you or she thinks!" Page: 608 Date: Feb 03, 2008 LINKTehTwi Larksparrow's ears swiveled toward the entrance of the den as two sets of pawsteps drew nearer.
"Foxheart, if that's you again forget it!" she yowled. "I don't care if that's Chaosstar with you either, I want you all out!"
She plunged her muzzle out of the den, eyes glittering menacingly, only to have her expression change to one of complete surprise when she saw not the blank stare of the clan joker or the black and purple pelt of the other leader, but rather two injured cats, one from her own clan and one Windclan.
"What's happened now?" she stuttered. "Any more outsiders and this place will be the new Fourtrees!" TehTwi Larksparrow's eyes narrowed.
"Medicine cats used to speak of a sickness that left a warrior completely mad and a danger to all he came in contact with. You say you know this rogue, would he say what he did in jest, or do you suppose he was serious?" She eyed the bite on his chest. The actual skin didn't seem torn in too many places, but there was enough blood to arouse her curiousity and concern. She wondered about the depth of the wound. TehTwi Larksparrow blinked a few times before moving aside.
"If you had thought Snakefang was ill I would have sent you to the elders den, but your explanation is plausible and you seem confident enough. I've heard that with the sickness comes a hostility similar to what you were just subject to, but it appears that anger is simply part of your friend's disposition. Take the nest next to your clanmate," she mewed, flicking her tail towards the back of the den. "Thank you for the advice too. If you don't mind I'll be checking on Tuxedopelt first."
Without waiting she turned around and glanced at the herb stores once more. She deftly divided two tiny piles of poppy seeds from the main group with a few flicks of her claw and then batted the last of the goldenrod into a pile with a smattering of chervil. As an afterthought she yanked a few pieces of burdock root from a crevice in a rock face. They helped on rat bites, which led to a bizarre range of diseases, and though she doubted it would help much if they were really sick it couldn't hurt.
Picking up half of the larger pile of herbs in her mouth and hooking a chunk of cobwebs with her tail, she walked outside to Tuxedopelt, thankful that the warrior had drifted to sleep outside. There wouldn't be room for all the medicine cats to be inside that night at this rate. Chewing up the chervil and burdock root, she then applied the liquid and goldenrod to Tuxedopelt's tail before tightly binding it with the cobwebs. She placed the poppy seeds in front of him, trusting that he had enough sense to eat them when he woke up.
Dipping back into the den, she repeated the process, this time starting with the poppy seeds considering the Windclan warrior was still conscious.

Mistakes: Past and Present Location: Valentine's Event Thread Page: 42 Date: Feb 16, 2008 LINKTehTwi Larksparrow batted at some of the strange new flowers. It was amazing how they had sprung from the frozen earth so suddenly.
As she collapsed in a particularly dense pile of brightly colored petals, the medicine cat sighed. Her mind wandered for a second to Fogpelt. What would he have thought of this odd occurrence? Her train of thought slid over the memories with almost irreverent haste, and she returned to the present. How had she not noticed Ebonypaw's prospective kits? Especially since they would be coming so soon! She tried to justify missing this crucial fact by reminding herself that she had been spending a large amount of time at Fourtrees in case cats on the patrol to find Windclan were injured, but there was no excuse.
There was never an excuse.
There would never be one.
She would have to make up for it. Yes, by ensuring that whatever kits she had were perfectly healthy.

Warriors of Dusk and Dawn Location: Windclan Event Thread Page: 311 Date: Mar 20, 2008 LINKTehTwi Larksparrow pushed the last of the dry leaves she had been weeding out from her herb stores into a pile when Moonstar's call made her leap to her feet. Ebonypaw's kits were having their warrior ceremony! Her mood wasn't even dampened by the fact that her leader was welcoming that Riverclan apprentice who obviously felt no sense of clan loyalty into Shadowclan. TehTwi Larksparrow scowled as Dawnkit mewed the news to Plumgaze. Yes it was customary for the warrior to know they were getting an apprentice, but generally mentors were left as a surprise until the ceremony was underway. Oh well, she was pleased that Plumgaze had been chosen, and Darkmist had been far more polite to her clanmates over the past few moons so the medicine cat supposed she was alright with that choice as well.

Who the hell are you? (OOC) Location: Windclan Event Thread Page: 371 Date: Mar 21, 2008 LINKTehTwi Hawkeye: *parades through* Hey there beautiful.
Larky: You're despicable. TehTwi Hawkeye: Brother? Nah. I would need a partner in crime though. Blushie over there looks a bit too mopey.
Sure you don't wanna meet me behind the medicine cat den, Larky?
Larksparrow: *hisses* stare TehTwi Hawkeye: Oh don't worry, I only hit on the pretty ones.
Larksparrow: You tell him, Foxpaw. Why Starclan hasn't smote this arrogant jerk, I don't know. TehTwi Hawkeye: Viet-what? There's another war? Aaahgh! Page: 375 Date: Mar 21, 2008 LINKTehTwi Hawkeye: *sullen* Great. Just. *sigh* Great.
Larky: *snickers at Tigerpaw's comment* I don't know what Moonstar was thinking. Silvershiver's personality would call for a much more laid back apprentice. Tigerpaw's gonna drive him mad.
