Hopefully unbeknownst to Lux, the Starblade had been waiting, cloaked, just beyond the fringes of the battle. It picked up the Erebus' signal, and Skarloey gave silent chase. Hopefully it wouldn't turn into a galaxy-spanning game of cat and mouse, but Skarloey was prepared for all eventualities.

The Erebus had retreated to a base floating a good distance away from the Gilgamesh. It was obviously a recent setup, but it still provided resources and backup. The Erebus would be nothing more than scrap metal for the time being, but that didn't mean Lux wasn't going to come back with a vengeance.
As Eric docked with the Giglamesh, he paused, looking to his bandy-legged crewmate.
"I need you to fix as much of this bucket as you can, Brick. Get Magellan to help you with what he can, and radio me if anything happens, and I'll be here quick. I don't think that that guy's gone for good."
Eric strapped on his various weapons, including a crossbow, a pair of .357 magnums, 9 mm handguns, a pair of uzis, and a shotgun.

The cloaked starblade waited some distance away from the space station. He smiled to himself. "That piece of junk, the more feared ship?" he murmered. He gave orders for the maintenance crews to repair what they could of the shields and any hull breaches, and waited.

For the most part all seemed quiet, although a few small fighter ships flew in and out of the base every so often.

((A little OOC question... would it be suicidal for Skarloey to go in their alone? You can refrain from answering))

((Well then he'll have to not get caught wink ))

Skarloey spends the next post thinking of a plan

((sounds good to me))

The base was already working on assembling a group of ships outside. It was clear they intended to launch a full scale attack on the Gilgamesh.

"Captain!" the subbordinate shouted in his weasel voice, something Lux was not to fond of. If he had full reign he would have sliced out the man's tongue, but he didn't, and he was more or less tied up like a dog. Lux glanced up at the kore agent and nodded.

"Captain, we've got a signal on the Gilgamesh. It was taken out of lock down, and appears to have landed somewhere on Sarluna." The agent said, his face slightly sweaty as he watched Lux.

Lux smiled. "Then we should answer their call, before someone else does." He slowly stood up, his tall and lanky frame unwinding like a jungle cat. "We'll need to gather a large group this time, I intend to destroy everything."

Pen's eyes blinked open to the blurred sight of Erebus's med-center. A sharp pain pushed into her head and she winced. She tried to reach up her hand to run her forehead, but found herself restrained.

"Hold still, Gautrine, you'll dislodge the tubes." Mic, the ship's doctor was a cheerful enough man, probably too cheerful, all things considered.

Pendari glanced at him, her eyes gaining focus and making out the mousy man's features. "Why am I not dead?"

"Oh pish-posh, Gautrine. Lux wouldn't kill you...well not right away, and not when he could use you." Mic said as he picked up a needle and emptied it of bubbles.

"I don't know where the stone is," Pendari lied.

Mic laughed, "and that's not what he wants from you." He pushed the needle into Pen's neck. "Now go to sleep, Gautrine, when you wake up you'll have a brand new arm."

Pendari tried to fight it off, but was quickly pulled into the darkness.

Pen stared at the shining metal of the arm, It was cold, lifeless, but could crush a skull with barely a thought. Pen squeezed her hand, the metalic fingers acting on command, most people wouldn't have access to a hand of high quality, let alone Kore quality. She assumed there were other interesting bonuses involved in the metallic arm, which she would probably discover at a rather inconvenient time.

Lux walked casually into her room, a smooth smile across his sharply featured face. He had a strong appeal, and knew it, and used it to his advantage. He leaned against the wall casually, his left hand twitching in rhythmic movement, that anyone who knew him for a decent period of time would understand was a constant habit of his. Pen herself had wondered about it, until she noticed the pattern was similar to a person flipping a coin around his fingers, only Lux never held any coins when he did it. "Enjoying the comforts, Gautry?" He asked, in a velvet smooth voice.

Pendari gave him a cold smile. "Are you mocking me, Lux Ferre? The arm, the clothes, the room, all little presents to give a dead girl?" Pendari slipped up from the couch, walking with the subtle confidence that had kept her so firmly placed in the Kore ranks of authority. "Lankin wants me dead. Now what's to stop me from killing you and the rest of the men on your ship?"

"Please, Gautrine, you've never been one for empty threats. And we both know your right hand is shaking, no matter how well you hide it. You don't have the strength for one of your fabulous temper tantrums, and even if you did, you're going soft. " He paused and held out a dark box. "Lankin does want you dead, he's even sent out a fancy list. You and those little people you attempted to save, who I should add don't seem to be ones to return the favor, are prime targets from one star to another. The moment you show your faces anywhere, it'll likely be the last."

Pen cautiously took the box, and opened it up to find a lone black glove, long enough for the full arm, from fingertip to shoulder.

"I know how vain you can be, Gautry," Lux smiled at her, "It's to cover the replacement."

Pen looked at the glove but didn't put it on right away. "More teasing, Lux? Or do you intend to take me to Lankin, so he can do the kill himself?"

Lux shook his head, "I'm taking you to Lankin, Pen, so you can kill him for me. The stone is mine now, and soon, the rest of the Kore will be also." He leaned in and placed a soft kiss on Pendari's cheek. "Get some sleep, Gautry. You're one of the Kore again."

Ora appeared in a hallway of the Gilgamesh, Jarred at her side. "I'm not familiar with this ship, but most Kore ships are built in a similar fashion. We should be able to find her with little trouble."

"Alright. I'll take the lead, you just tell me which way to go, on account of my big gun." Jarred said, walking ahead, keeping his flak cannon leveled.

Eric tapped his touchscreen a few more times, then turned to the front of the cockpit, and a section of the egg-shaped room turned into a mechanical face.
"Yes, sir?"
"Magellan, I want you to slice whatever you can without being caught. I want to keep an eye on them."

"She was badly injured, my first guess is the medical unit. Which should be one level up, and further towards the front of the ship." She glanced through the hallway. "Lannen is late."

Jarred's PDA began to viberate as Eric patched himself through.
"I got Magellan slicing system standard files. I'll patch you through a map here in a minute. Figure this'll leave you free to ******** a few thugs up in my name."
