Ridley sat down across from Liam, smirking at him as they waited. He looked around the restaurant for a moment, pleased with the homey atmosphere. "How did you sleep?" he asked after he'd settled himself, taking off his jacket.

Liam gave Ridley a knowing smile, watching him take off his jacket and staring at the tape, his grin fading a bit for a moment, his eyes going a bit dim. The smile, however, was back as soon as Ridley asked him the question.
"Fine... and yourself? Was your shower satisfactory?"

Ridley quirked an eyebrow at Liam, confused by both of the expressions on his face, though he wouldn't press the issue with him. He paused when Liam asked him that question, opening his mouth and not able to speak for a moment.
"Uh..."
Liam Liam Liam Liam. That had been the subject of his thoughts for the entire shower.
"...yes," he answered hesitantly, his ears turning pink. "When did you get up?"

Liam smiled, expression pleasant enough. "Very early. You were probably asleep. I go for a walk just as the sun comes up. You were in the shower when I returned." he replied, glancing up as the waitress came to take their drinks. As per usual he ordered his strawberry soda, and both the waitress and Liam glanced at Ridley, the waitress' look questioning, Liam's amused.

"That's cool," Ridley nodded, his expression guarded. "I've never been much of an early riser."
Ridley ordered a black coffee, then glanced at Liam. "Why do you always look like you're about to laugh at me?" he asked, grinning.

"Hm?" he blinked, acting innocent, "That's how I always look..." he replied, pausing for a moment as if he might say something more. If he did, however, he didn't say it, and instead just gave Ridley a playful wink, chuckling.

Ridley rolled his eyes. "Right. You're just a huge tease, you know that?" he teased him. "Thanks for letting me stay with you, by the way."

"Guilty as charged I'm afraid." Reaching over to take the bottle of pink liquid as soon as the waitress put it down, Liam sighed, resting his chin on his hand, eyes falling half closed. "No problem. The couch is actually very comfortable. And Eli slept with me part of the night."

"Almost forgot about him," Ridley blinked, taking his coffee mug and stirring it, but not adding any cream or sugar before sipping at it. He liked his coffee straight.
"I should have taken the couch. I still feel guilty about that," he smiled sheepishly at Liam. Turning to the waitress when she came back for their order, he ordered two eggs over easy and applesauce crepes, nearly salivating at the mere thought of them.

The healer laughed, shaking his head. "Don't. It really isn't a big deal... besides, you should take it as a compliment -- I only give up my bed to people I like." Again, he winked, glancing up at the waitress with a winning smile. "I'll have two strawberry waffles please."

Ridley grinned. "If you like them, why wouldn't you share it with them?" he winked back, his turn to tease. "Strawberry everything, huh?"

"Maybe I do." he shot back, smirking. "'Sides, some people don't really go for it."
Liam didn't respond to the strawberry comment, lowering his eyes and smiling, sipping his drink.

"Maybe some people need a little time," Ridley sipped at his coffee again, watching Liam over the rim. He leaned back in his seat, sighing and relaxing. "This is a cute little city. It's not nearly as big as Saffron, though," he remarked, pursing his lips and looking around leisurely.
"I can't wait to get out there and go catch some Pokemon."

Liam grinned, watching him from beneath his own lashes. "That's alright. I'm patient."
Again, Liam let his smirk fall a bit, his eyes lowering to the table in thought. "When are you leaving? And more importantly, do you know what you're doing?"

Ridley was struck by how very tempting Liam looked and glanced away, only looking at him again when he spoke up. Noticing that Liam was looking at the table, he wondered if Liam was unhappy that he was going.
"I'm not sure yet, I still have a few things to work out... like what exactly I'm doing," he grinned. "It's all kind of foggy and ambiguous yet."
