After he had left Sunil he had decided to do a little hunting while he thought. He had caught a rat, jumping it from behind and strangling it with his chain. It had died, but not before giving him a hell of a ride. He smirked slightly, heading into the room only to recieve a bit of a... wake-up call from Ice. 8-5-04 I forced him to take a bath today, the smell of death lingering in the air as he walked past. I had been busy typing when the scent caught my nose, making me feel sick to my stomach. “You need a bath.” I muttered, pushing save and scooping him up. “Why?” He asked, looking for the opportunity to turn stubborn on me, no doubt. “Because you stink. And I don’t let stinky people sleep in my room.” “Fine. I’ll sleep outside.” He muttered, moving to hop off my hand. I groaned, blocking his way with my other hand. “I don’t think so. C’mon, it won’t be that big of a deal.” I grinned evilly, unable to help myself. “I even got you a rubber duckie!” “A… rubber duckie.” He repeated, looking incredulous. “What the heck would I want with… a rubber duckie?” “For fun? I’d love to have a rubber duckie! They just don’t go well with the whole shower thing. Now relax, it’ll be like a day at the pool!” I walked into the bathroom, setting him down on the counter and plugging the sink before I started to fill it. “So warm water or hot?” “What do I care?” He replied, giving me a dark look, then turning his attention to the duckie on the counter beside him. It was larger than he was by a good inch. He grabbed the neck, stepping on the wing and sitting on it, looking oddly like a king on his throne as he leaned back against the neck, kicking his feet up. “You know… this might not be so bad an idea, after all.” He moved slightly, jumping as it gave a loud squeak. “You didn’t tell me it TALKED!” He muttered angrily, already a good five inches from the duck and glaring at it. I choked, turning away. “You’re laughing at me again.” He muttered. I couldn’t help it. “BWAHAHAHAA!!” “It wasn’t funny.” “You ran from a squeaky toy! Of course it was funny!” He muttered something under his breath, moving to climb down the side of the counter. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it.” “You owe me.” “Yeah, yeah. Now get in the sink, it’s time for your bath.” “Keep that… THING away from me.” “Sure thing, babe.” I pulled out the child’s soft toothbrush that I had bought for this purpose, gently scrubbing him down. He relaxed, leaning back against the brush. “See? Not so bad after all, now is it?” “Whatever.” He replied, his eyes closing. I started washing his hair. I loved his hair, it made him look so… dangerous. “We’re going to have to get you a toy hairbrush.” I told him. “And some hair gel. And a bean bag for a chair. I wonder if they sell that stuff at the shop.” “You’re intent on getting me in that place again.” He muttered, his eyes opening enough to glare at me. “Why?” “I just want you to make a few friends! You could use some friends, couldn’t you?” “Somethin tells me I'd be better off without them." "Don't say things like that! Friends are important!" "Sure Ice... remind me to cut back on your cartoon intake, would you?" He moved, almost groaning as the brush rubbed the base of his wings. Once again I didn't have a comeback.

The sound of something chattering woke him, making him look up blearily as he reached for his chain. He raised an eyebrow at the sight of a small blue ferret exploring the bed.
"TZ? Don't wake-- oh. Never mind." He looked away from the ferret, glancing at Ice, then looking back at the ferret sniffing his cast off bloom. "No, you can't eat that! It's special!"
"What..." Silva finally started out, sitting up on his stuffed tiger bed. "In the hell is that?" He finished, grabbing his toothpick and examining it for a second. He would be needing a new one soon.
"HE is Tibuzilla. I got him to be your ride." Ice replied, smiling happily as the ferret caught sight of Silva and started sniffing him over. "Looks like he likes you!"
Silva scowled, shoving the large blue head away from his lap, only to have it return. "My ride..."
"Even got him a little saddle! I figured since you couldn't fly--"
"I can fly. I just choose not to." He muttered crossly.
"Then you would need something fast to ride. And there's nothing faster than a ferret! Isn't that right, TZ?"
The ferret chittered and started bouncing happily. He liked to run!
Silva scowled, but his slowly waking brain kicked in and he remembered his ride from the night before. If the blue rat had a saddle then he wouldn't die, right? And that meant the ride would last longer!
"Here we go... just a little... darnit TZ, hold still!!" Ice's preoccupation with putting TZ's saddle on left the feien from worrying about his smirk being noticed. Sometimes, he thought, Ice was a halfway decent bondmate. "And we're done! Why don't you try him out?"
"If this gets me killed..." Silva started out, already grabbing the reins, "I'm going to be seriously pissed." He swung up, pulling himself into the saddle. "How you get this thing to start?" He asked, kicking with his heels slightly. The ferret took off.
They zipped around the room, running on the walls half of the time, Silva leaning low so he wouldn't fall off, his legs holding on for dear life. They were going so fast that it was sucking the air back into his chest and making his eyes tear. The sound of a whistle made TZ stop suddenly, almost throwing Silva off of his seat. Had he not been holding on so tightly he would have gone flying.
"...So? Ice asked, looking slightly worried. He would have laughed if he had any breath left. She never did think things through before starting. "Do you like him?"
That had made the rat from the night before look like a kiddie ride, he thought, slowly trying to relax his leg muscles enough that he could get off. "It'll do." He muttered, reaching up and scratching the ferret's neck. He would come in handy. If only for a good time.

((A compilation from a guild RP))
[Darkred=Silva] [blue=Tosten] [black=Sajhiri] [olive=TarnishedHalo]
Silva looked up at the Tavern sign, chewing on his toothpick before shrugging. That damn ferret that Ice had gotten him had dragged him all the way into town before he could get the breath to whistle. Now it was sleeping on the sidewalk as if it had done no wrong. He snorted, heading into the tavern before the sun got hotter. It was shady in there.
He paused at the door, looking up and around before heading in. He could use a drink.
Jhiri blinked at the cries from Tosten and she looked up from her vigil over her bloom. "Oh...hello there. Welcome to the Tall Tales Tavern, what can I get for you, sir?"
As Silva arrived as well, she carefully set the basket with her bloom behind the bar to protect it from jostling. The bloom twitched violently before it vanished from view. She waved the hesitant Silva inside. "Come on in, we're always open."
Tosten glanced down at her movements curiously, absorbing the words rather slowly as though she had asked such a complex question. "Tavern...? I can get something here? - Ah, no actually, I'm looking for someone thats missing--wasthatablossom?"
Whoops, short attention span. He was sure he saw little petals of a bloom in the basket she had been holding before she tucked it out of view. When she was gesturing off another way he sent he glance to that direction which, with a few hard squints, confirmed an unfamiliar feien had arrived as well. Maybe he could help!
Silva nodded, crawling up to where the feien place was and dropping down on a chair. He idly looked over at Tostan, almost wincing at the blue on the feien. He hadn't had much luck with blue feien so far, he thought before turning to the human.
"Can I get a drink? Preferably something cherry." He almost flushed as he mumbled the last sentence. He had a thing for cherries... He shrugged, going back to his observation of the tavern. It was darker in here, that much he approved of.
Jhiri smiled and nodded, though a little wanly, at Tosten. It is indeed, and it is quite perturbed with me I'm afraid. I dropped it's vase yesterday and I think the fall might have hurt it." She sighed and shook her head. "It is a tavern though, so if you'd like something to drink...?"
She poured a cherry phosphate for Silva. "There you are...enjoy!"
Tosten tipped his head wonderingly at Jhiri's reply and offered her an optimistic smile nonetheless. "Maybe they just got scared a little, they might feel better later when they realize it was just an accident." He hoped for her at least, poor blossoms getting hurt...
"Ah, no, um, no thanks - I'm looking for someone actually." He produced a paper that he had apparently been tucking somewhere and clutched it before him a moment as though hesitant of revealing it.
Silva took it, nodding slightly as he thought of her words. "Hated being a plant, myself... no control, no way to fight back. It can screw with a guy's head. Not to mention that it's cramped as all hell." He took a drink, then another, happy with the flavor.
Jhiri seemed releived at the words from the two tiny fellows. "Thank you. I hope they realize it wasn't intentional too, but they seem to shy away when I try to pick them up or anything."
She arched a brow at Tosten. "Who would that be. Maybe I can help. I've seen quite a few folks come in and out since we opened."
Tosten hesitated a few moments more then cleared his throat, unraveled the scrap of paper and held it up to show the human hopefully.
"See, I'm looking for Merrimack - he's short, like a kid, you know? And he's got, uh, red wings and three eyes and he sleeps lots so he kinda looks grumpy all the time to me..." He rambled as he tried to think of ways to describe the missing juvenile.
Jhiri inspected the image carefully with a worried look on her face. "Do Feien go missing frequently, or is this a unique occassion? I don't think I've seen them in here, regardless, but I can pass the word on to those who come in. Do you have another picture I can hang up behind the bar?"
Tosten pouted in disappointment when she didn't know the feien in the doodle, but at the question he fluttered up a little higher to offer her the drawing. "Oh, here! You can use this one, I can make more. If you hear anything about him can you tell me? Or better, tell Ares if you see her too! She's... um... well, I'm sure she'll tell you her name if you see her so if you see someone named Ares, tell her!"
Ramble ramble... - ah wait! He remembered Silva's existence and turned in the air slightly to look toward the juvenile that was trying to mind his own business.
"Oh, hey! Hi! Have you seen him either?"
"Blue, white, three eyes and grumpy..." Silva repeated, thinking through all the feien he had met. All blue... all white... green... red white and-- "It's a guy? Cuz I met a female those colors... course don't remember her having three eyes..."
Halo'd heard about this place through the grape vine and now that she was bonded to a feien, she figured it would be beneficial to come in and meet the gang. She held a red feien bloom with a silver stem in her hands delicately and peeked in the door.
Hopefully her bloom could.. get some more interactions with other's before her feien emerged.
Tosten stared at Silva puzzledly as he fluttered down, settling by where the juvenile was so he didn't have to make either of them call across the distance (however small)...
"A female? ... Oh! Ruya?" He inquired suddenly, surprised that he had met that reclusive feien. "Ah, yes, its a boy missing - Ruya's brother, actually, Merrimack. So they do sorta look alike."
Sajhiri ducks back into a back room for an inventory check.
Silva raised an eyebrow, taking another drink of the phosphate before speaking again. "I met her and Sunil the other day. He live with them?" He was suddenly fascinated with this unknown feien that was missing. He could be the "playmate" that Sunil wanted him to spar with.
Tosten shook his head promptly.
"No no, Merrimack lives with-- ... Eh?" Duh? Did he hear what he thought he did? He stared at Silva a few moments and twitched an ear. He met Sunil? Oh... either way he continued his reply even if a tad softer. "Merrimack lives with his mother, Ares. And Tahki too. He's shy and stays at home a lot so I guess its not really a surprise you haven't met him yet... but he never came home the other day Ares said." He fretted as he spoke.
Shy and stays at home? Didn't sound much like his "darlin's" type. He nodded, bored with the subject. "That must bite." I guess. He turned, looking over at the human that had entered a little while earlier.
"That another blossom?" He asked her, figuring it would distract the blue feien easily enough.
Tosten frowned at Silva's response and tilted his head to look toward the newest arrival that he had fail to notice before. This juvenile didn't care... well, he could accept that. Not all feien's were nice.
"I think so. Ah, I should try looking somewhere else. If you see him could you tell me, maybe? Thank you, byebye!" He said in a rush and lit to the air. He fluttered by Halo, pausing and giving a friendly wave before darting out of the tavern to do his Merrimack hunt elsewhere.
Silva nodded, shrugging slightly at the hasty retreat. So what was he supposed to do? Even if he DID care, he had never met the kid, didn't know where or who he liked to hang out with, other than what the blue guy had told him. Hell, he didn't even have his "scent."
Running out and looking for him just struck him as idiotic... But he WAS interested in finding another feien. The white one that knew everything. He scowled, cursing himself for a fool for not having asked the blue guy if he knew where to find him. With a muttered cuss he dropped down from where he was and ran out the door, looking for the blue feien that had just left.

He hadn't found the blue, painted feien. It had pissed him off for a while, then he shrugged, mounting his ferret and riding home. He was burnt out on dealing with other feien. As he rode home he remembered something that had been bugging him before he had even met Sunil.
His... Summoner. He thought, leaning closer to the neck of Tibuzilla and urging him to go faster. The feien that was the strongest... Julius. If he was his summoner, did that make him like... his father? He scowled, rejecting that thought. If his summoner was his father those other feien would be his brothers, and damned if he would claim that relation.
He was grinning slightly as the ferret decided to climb a nearby fence, running quickly. He brought his wings in, making them more aerodynamic so the ferret could go even faster.
But, back to the summoner, he told himself, still enjoying the ride. Who was he? All Silva knew was that his name was Julius and he was strong. And what would he expect in payment? If Silva was the one doing the summoning, HE would expect something in return. That's how the world worked. Well, except for Ice and him. That was different. But the longer Silva waited to find out the worse it could get. He had only been summoned for a little while, after all. The collateral hadn't had time to add up.
He scowled, wondering if he WANTED to find the summoner. Maybe he could avoid-- he stopped, cussing his very nature. He wasn't the type to hide... well, he was, but only before launching an attack. Not to run away.
He shrugged, pulling into Ice's yard and whistling for the ferret to stop. He would probably have to go into the shop to find him. And he wasn't planning on going there for a while. As long as he could avoid it, that was.
((Finds Silva's thought process strangely fascinating, but heck, it fits him))

((Note: This one goes in both Io's journal and Silva's diary))
Io crept through the door between the worlds, reaching up to scratch the raven that sat comfortably on her shoulder. He had been a gift from one of the Masquerade Guardians, and was quite beautiful in her opinion. He feathers shined with health, his eyes were bright and curious.
"So..." The voice made her jerk, looking over at the feien standing in the room, staring at her. "You got a bird out of the closet. Why do I not believe that?"
Io groaned, slapping the palm of her hand to her forehead and feeling the mask under her fingers. He wasn't supposed to have found out... Ice was going to kill her. She sighed, moving in closer, not noticing the weary look on Silva's face.
That's... not a closet. She finally muttered, turning and locking the door. But I suggest you forget about it. Ice will never let you go through. You're too small and helpless.
"Small? Helpless?" He repeated, outraged. "You don't know what you're talking about." He jerked slightly as she leaned down, noticing the blood red eyes of her bird watching him with something close to lust. "And why did you bring home that thing? It probably shits on the carpet."
He'll be in my room. She replied, smirking as she noticed his fear. It wasn't of her, but it was good enough. Whats the matter? Is the big brave feien scared of the widdle birdy?
The raven let out a "CAW!" Making Silva nearly jump before he scowled.
"I was just thinking of the best way to cook it." He replied, his scowl turning to a vicious grin. "Baked... or fried."
She stood, glaring at him with hatred. Stay away from my bird, you little s**t. Or I'll tell Ice about those porno mangas that you keep ordering online.
He glared at her as she walked out of the room, feeling a strange sensation as the bird turned his head over his shoulder and watched him all the way out of the room. He wasn't sure... but he thought it might have been... fear.

((Formatting thanks to Kamtrouble))Neighbors (** Partly moved from the guild. **) Silva Silva was lounging, lying on a mushroom, his hands propped on his stomach, one leg bent, the other dangling off the side. His chain laid at his side, close enough to grab if he needed it. There was a slight smirk on his face, his eyes almost closed as he enjoyed the shadows that still covered the backyard. His ferret had crashed as soon as he got home, running off to sleep for a good twenty hours or so, then raid the kitchen. He had thought about seeing if there were any cherries in the fridge, but figured he would do that when it got too bright to be outside. Right now was the time to relax. Ruya Ruya stepped out onto the back porch with Rishi and gazed beyond the fence to Silva's yard. She didn't immediately see anyone, but she and Rishi gradually made their way down the porch steps and across the yard to the fence itself. It was a simple act to step through one of the gaps between slats and once on the other side Ruya called out, "Silva? You around?" Silva Silva cracked an eye open, his ear twitching slightly in the direction of the voice. Not Sunil... The voice lacked the danger of the other. But she knew his name. Sunil must have told her. "Over here, darlin." He called lazily, smirking slightly. He would be best off appearing harmless if he wanted to attract the little one. Ruya Ruya turned her head in the direction of the voice and stood on her tiptoes to catch a glimpse of the other feien. She was pleased to see that Sunil had been correct about his name. "C'mon Rishi." Ruya made her way through the grass, not wanting to fly and risk losing Rishi on the rather large backyard. When she got to the mushroom, Ruya smiled and offered a friendly greeting. "It is a nice day to be out isn't it? I was out for a walk with my dog Rishi and I thought I would stop by here." Silva She had a dog... He shrugged it off, figuring he could handle it as long as the little b*****d didn't bark too much. He looked down, holding out a hand. "It's real nice, darlin. Seems it just got even nicer. C'mon up here and talk to me." "A guy gets lonely after a while, you know." Ruya Ruya took the offered hand and with a little scrambling and a little flight, she was up on the mushroom. Rishi remained below, sniffing around the base of the mushroom with interest. Ruya let go of Silva's hand and turned so she could look out over the lawn from their perch. "This is a pretty nice location. It would be fun to paint. I should bring out some paper and paints some time." Silva "Paint? Never thought much about painting. Guess I'm not the creative type." He watched her through his lashes, a slight smirk pulling on his lips. "Seems fitting that you are, darlin." He turned back to survey the scene that interested her so much. "You're welcome to come any time, darlin. But I should warn you about the raven." Ruya Ruya turned and raised an eyebrow. "Raven? Have you had a run in with a bird here then? I suppose I should start carrying my rapier more often." Silva "Not quite, darlin. You see, I'm not the only one that lives here." He pulled out his toothpick, examining it for a second. "My bondmate... has a daughter. The daughter has a pet raven." He looked over at her. "The raven has bloodlust in his eyes." He didn't mention that he knew what bloodlust looked like a little TOO well. He clamped his teeth around his toothpick again, lying on his back and staring at the sky. Ruya Ruya thought about that for a moment, before peering over the edge of the mushroom to check on Rishi. In the end, he was in much more trouble if a bird came hunting. After assuring herself Rishi was still in sight, Ruya sat on the edge of the mushroom, her legs dangling over the edge. "Surely your bondmate's daughter has control of her pet raven? I imagine your bondmate would be quite upset if you were to be harmed." Ruya kicked her legs a little, enjoying the sensation of being outside. Silva "Oh, he's in control... But Io hates me." He sighed, trying his best to sound pathetic, since he couldn't quite managed scared. "She wouldn't mind watching... It's too horrible to mention, darlin." He looked at her, staring deeply into her eyes. "But I would keep you safe, darlin. No matter what." Ruya It was probably the wrong thing to say if one was trying to get on Ruya's good side, but she smiled anyway, pushing a loose strand of hair back behind her ear. "I can take care of myself," she said mildly, "but I appreciate your bravery. Speaking of which, do you study any particular style of self-defense Silva?" Silva He blinked, then shrugged. So she was tough. He liked tough. But self defense? He paused, wondering if killing things bigger than he was counted as a "style." He took the safe rout and shook his head. "Not yet. Ice knows a little karate, said she might teach it to me. But I haven't dealt with enough feien for it to be an issue." He lied through his teeth. It was almost true. Only Sunil had picked a fight with him, after all. Ruya "Karate sounds interesting. Living with Sunil has taught me that the ability to protect oneself can be very important. Although, I doubt anyone would want to pick a fight with you, the feien I've met have all been very nice people." Ruya put her hands behind her head and laid down to look up at the sky, bending her knees so her feet were back up on the mushroom. "Have you ever seen a firefly? Kam, my bondmate, told me she used to catch them when she was little, and put them in a jar for a night." Silva "Those glowing bugs?" He asked, grateful that the subject had been dropped. The sparring conversation he had had with Sunil was still in the back of his mind and something told him a "style" wouldn't be enough to deal with her pet. She fought dirty, then so wold the other feien. "Maybe they'll come out soon. I like to--" He bit back the word hunt, searching for a replacement. "I like to chase them." He finished, wondering why talking to this girl felt like he was missing half of the conversation. He shook it off, looking around for a firefly to point out to her. Ruya "Yes, the ones that light up. I was thinking it would be fun to catch one and put it in a jar. Kam made me a jar with airholes in the cover earlier, but I haven't had a chance to be out here in the evening. What do you say?" Ruya sat up and turned to face Silva, obviously excited about the prospect of hunting fireflies. Silva He blinked, liking the look of excitment on her face for some reason. He nodded. "Sure, Darlin. Let's catch you a firefly." He stood, offering her a hand and waiting for her to ignore it. Maybe she wasn't as easy as he had thought she would be... It might be worth finding out. Besides, he had nothing better to do. Ruya Ruya took Silva's hand, but didn't really lean on it to get up. She brushed herself off, and then gestured behind her to her porch. "The jar is on the porch. Its about 6 inches tall and 3 or four inches wide, so I think it would be too heavy to carry." She looked Silva up and down critically before nodding. "I think we would be best to contain the bug and bring it back to the jar. I wonder if they bite?" Silva Carrying the bug to the jar... He raised an eyebrow, wondering if other feien had to go through this kind of stuff to get snogged. And hell, who cared if they bit? They couldn't be nearly as dangerous as the snake he had ran into a few nights before. "Um... yeah. Guess we'll find out, huh?" He replied, feeling his relaxed mood slowly falling away. She was offering him a hunt. But he wouldn't be able to kill the thing he caught. He gritted his teeth and jumped off of the mushroom, turning and holding out his arms in case she wanted him to catch her. It wasn't that he was polite, it was that he liked to touch. "Jump. I'll catch you." He called, smirking slightly. He blinked, trying to see through the slowly darkening night, smirking as the world took on a slight glow. He still wasn't perfect, though, but it would work. Ruya "You'd better." Ruya jumped off the mushroom and threw her arms out to catch herself on Silva. Luckily the height wasn't really that great. "I hope you can see in the dark, " she joked, having no idea his element actually might allow him to. Silva He gave a slight "oof" for impact and let her fall a little farther than arm length so they were chest to chest. "I'm good in the dark, darlin. Very good." He told her, taking his sweet time about letting her go. Ruya Ruya laughed and stood back, slowly but firmly stepping away from him. Rishi growled lightly around her feet, not quite sure he liked her having such close contact with another feien. "Hush Rishi. Ok, Silva, let's find us a firefly." Ruya looked skyward, concentrating her search around a couple of the bigger trees in the backyard. Bugs liked trees right? Silva He was focused on the dog. It was black but he could see it, hear it growling at him. The thing was a nuisance... He walked on, catching sight of a twig in the path but not saying a word. He would wait till she tripped and catch her before she fell, he thought. "There's two groups of fireflies, darlin. There's the group in the air and the group on the ground. And since I have better nightvision I'm probably better off on the ground." He told her, easily stepping over the twig. Ruya Ruya stepped forward after Silva, trusting her ears more than her eyes in the dark. Rishi bounded right along side of her, happy to be on the move. When she got to the stick, Ruya stumbled and spread her wings, flapping them to try and keep herself from hitting the ground. "Maybe I'd be better off with something to see in the dark, like a torch or something." Silva He caught her, picking her up slightly before letting her down. "Once we get one of the fireflies you can use their a** as a torch." He said without thinking. "Those things are bright enough to see for miles around." He wasn't paying as much attention to her now, his eyes were scanning the ground around them, looking for the bug that would light up at any second. "There!" He announced, pointing just seconds before the firefly lit up and started to fly close to the ground. "Let's go!" Ruya Stable again, Ruya repositioned her wings behind her and reached down to pat Rishi reassuringly on the head. "Indeed, that is a good point." Ruya strained to see what exactly Silva was pointing at when the firefly lit up. Having noted its position, Ruya raced towards the firefly not wanting it to get out of sight before it lit up again. If she could be in the right area when it lit again, she could probably use a burst of speed to catch it in her arms. Silva He followed, scowling as he realized she was faster then he was. But he had an advantage in this setting. He was the one that could see. He smirked, catching sight of another firefly sitting in the grass and headed for that as she chased the other. Stealth would do what speed couldn't, he told himself, right before the firefly lit up. He jumped, missing the firefly and landing on his face. "..." He shoved himself back to his feet and started chasing it. He had a bit of a competitive streak, after all. Ruya As the firefly she was following lit up for the second time, Ruya used a large burst of speed to propel herself at it. She crashed into the firefly and tried to close her arms around it. She missed, letting it slip through her fingers and the firefly began to fall, stunned by the earlier impact with a fast moving feien. Ruya bent in the air and tried grabbing for it, but it was no longer lit up and she couldn't get a feel for its position. "Crap. Silva? I think I have one stunned, but its too dark to see where it went." Ruya landed back on the ground and started searching around for the bug on foot. Silva Silva looked at the firefly he had caught with his chain, poking it, then shoving it away with his foot. Yeah... that was dead. He almost whistled as he headed towards Ruya. He would have put his hands in his pockets, but he didn't have any. "Stunned, did you say?" He asked, feeling strangely guilty. "I'll find it, darlin." He looked around, catching sight of it and picking it up and handing it to her. "Good hunt, darlin. Should we take it to the jar now?" Ruya Ruya took the firefly happily and was relieved to see its wings still appeared to be quivering slightly. It hopefully would recover from its mid-air collision in time. "Thank you!" Ruya leaned over and hugged Silva lightly. "And yes, time to go put it in the jar. Rishi?" Rishi bounded his way back from searching among the grass to Ruya's side. Ruya then lifted herself up off the ground, and the firefly cradelled in her arms, she took off in the direction of Kam's porch lights. Silva Silva watched her go, chewing on his toothpick for a while, his wings flexing slightly. Was he interested enough to try to fly? He frowned, then shrugged. She wouldn't need his-- He stopped, remembering about the lid on the jar. She would need help getting the damn thing open. "Dammit." He started running, but she was too far gone already. With a reluctant jump he shoved himself into the air, flapping his wings wildly. He managed to get into the air, but he was hardly stable. "What I won't do for a pretty face." He cursed himself, trying to mentally "Force" himself to be lighter. Ruya Ruya paused partway across her own backyard and looked back. Had Silva stayed behind? "Silva?" Ruya stayed stationary in the air, lazily using her wings to do most of the work. Silva He cussed as he saw her paused, putting some of the brute strength he took for granted into the flight process. It sped things up, but he put a little TOO much force into it, and found himself heading straing for the fence with no way of stopping. "How do you stop these F******** things?!" He demanded as he passed her. Ruya Ruya laughed good naturedly at the question, but sped after Silva and grabbed one of his arms with a hand. She backpedaled using both wings and magic to slow his headlong flight. "You're not supposed to use your wings. You're supposed to use your magic to fly. Otherwise Sunil wouldn't be able to fly at all, since her wings are so small." Silva He blinked, his wings stopping and gravity starting to kick in as her words hit his brain. Without a thought he grabbed onto her, looking down at the ground. "Magic, huh? Like... hocus pocus now I can fly? I don't know about you, darlin, but I'm pretty sure that it won't work." He started flapping his wings a little more slowly to keep from falling. "Hell... I'm not even sure I HAVE magic." Ruya Ruya started to lower the two of them down, as the firefly struggled under her other arm. "I didn't think I had magic either for a long time, but every feien does. My mom told me that we have magic just by virtue of being feien, and because of that magic every feien can fly. Flight for me seems to be more instinct than anything intellectual." Silva "Well darlin, my instincts say there aren't many shadows in the air." He said once they got to the ground. He scowled, feeling like a coward. "But let's get that bug to the jar. Then you can explain this magic thing a little better." "I'll even open the jar for you." He said, heading resolutely on foot towards her porch. Ruya Ruya shrugged and took off on foot after Silva. "Sure." Silva The jar was two inches taller then him, he noted dryly, examining it carefully. There was no choice. He would have to climb it. He jumped, grabbing onto the side of the jar, his feet firmly planted against the glass as he wrenched the lid so hard that it went flying. "I'll uh... get that." He muttered. He jumped off the side of the jar and ran after the lid, hefting it up and over his head easily before coming back. Ruya Ruya took the easy route, lifting herself in the air magically. "This is gonna take some finesse, " she said, while perching on the lip of the jar. "The lid is gonna need to be mostly on before I can release the firefly or he'll just get away." Ruya stretched her arms out and held the firefly inside the lip of the jar, waiting for Silva to start sliding the lid on. Silva "Sure thing, darlin!" He replied, his arrogance coming back slightly. He wasn't that quick to lose hope. Though the word "friends" was looming in his mind evilly, laughing at him with a malicious little voice. He didn't need friends. He needed-- He jerked, remembering what he was doing and placing the lid over her arm, ready to drop it in place and screw it on as soon as she said go. "Ready." Ruya Ruya let go of the firefly and scrambled back off the edge of the jar, "Go!" This had been fun, she was glad Silva had been out and about. It would have been nearly impossible to do this alone. Silva He dropped the lid, screwing it in place with a quick motion before jumping off the jar and stretching, then cracking his neck. She was smiling... that was a good thing. But his wings felt like they were burning and his head was starting to hurt from all this talk. Or maybe it was from using his nightvision for such a long time. He needed to work on that more. "So..." He said, dropping down on the porch by the steps, one leg hanging over the side. "Now you have my weakness, darlin. What do you want from me to keep it quiet?" Ruya Ruya pressed her face against the side of the jar to peer at the bug inside. His flying around and flashing was pretty interesting. She wondered idly why lightning bugs even had the ability to light up, before turning her mind back to the present. "I think you have me confused with Sunil." Ruya stepped back around the jar and sat down next to Silva, letting both of her legs hang over the edge. "I don't trade in people's weaknesses." Ruya reached out a hand and placed it on Silva's shoulder with a smile. "I won't tell anyone you aren't very good at flying if you don't want." Silva He scowled, shrugging slightly, but not enough for her hand to be moved. He liked being touched as much as he liked touching. If the person was someone he was interested in, that was. "I meant--" He stopped, hating to mention the lack of magic thing. If he had magic then flying would have been easy... right? "I mean, thanks." He muttered. Ruya Biting her lip, Ruya moved a little closer to Silva and ran her hand farther up his shoulder until she had her arm around his shoulders. She was about to say something, when suddenly the view in front of her changed and she could see Sunil standing in front of her, her hands on her throat. As suddenly as the vision had come it left, and Ruya blinked several times before withdrawing her arm. "Sunil attacked you?" Silva s**t... s**t s**t s**t! He could have SWORN she was about to make a move! And then she stopped! He jerked, her words finally settling in his outraged mind. Sunil? What did Sunil have to do with-- Waaaait... how did SHE know? Did-- "Did Sunil tell you that?" He asked, forcing himself to sound lazy. "She must have been lying." Ruya "Sunil didn't tell me anything. My power is memory and I just saw her, from your point of view, attacking you. Why and when did Sunil attack you?" Ruya was simply puzzled. Why would Sunil attack Silva? It didn't make any sense. And why was Silva lying about it? Maybe his pride was hurt? "It isn't a big deal if she beat you. After all she is way bigger than you, shes just a bully." Ruya gingerly reached out to put her hand on his shoulder again. Silva Memory, huh? That wasn't good. If he DID get involved with her she would know every time he cheated on her. Dammit. "Oh... that. It was nothing. Hell, I was perfectly fine by the next day." He muttered, feeling the bile try to rise in his throat again at the memory. The worst part was... he was still fascinated with the blue feien... damn his lack of self-preservation. "So... tell me about this magic thing, darlin." He said, changing the subject. First she knew about the flying, now she knew about him getting his a** kicked... He scowled slightly, irritated with being so exposed. Ruya Ruya snatched her hand back and looked away. He obviously was not happy she knew about his fight with Sunil. He probably didn't want her to touch him now. After all, who would want someone in their head? "I can't control it, " she mumbled. "I've never had it happen before. I don't think it happens very often." She sighed and looked at her lap, laying her hands there, one inside the other. "I don't know alot about magic, since I don't really have very much. But my bondmate says there are posters about it in the shop. You just have to know your element." Silva He groaned, irritated with himself. Slowly he reached out, brushing his hand against her cheek and gently forcing her to look at him. "Look, I'm not the nicest guy out there, darlin. You'd probably be better off finding someone else to catch fireflies with... But I'm... I'm alright with your power." He smirked. "You might not be after you get to know me, but I am." Ruya Ruya smiled and looked into Silva's eyes, the late night making the whole situation seem a little more romantic than it probably should have been. "Thank you." On an impulse Ruya leaned forward to briefly brush her lips against Silva's. When she drew back she was a little red. "You're perfect for catching fireflies with. Who else can see in the dark?" Silva "I am, aren't I?" He stated, smirking slightly as he broke off another toothpick from her porch. He clamped it between his teeth, raising an eyebrow. "Wanna snog? It'll be a lot faster with the getting to know me process!" Ruya "Snog?" Ruya raised one eyebrow and gave Silva a look. "Is that slang? I don't believe I've come across it before." Silva His smirk widened to an evil grin as he took out the toothpick, leaning forward and returning the brief kiss she had given him earlier, his hand pushing through her hair and brushing against her ear. "This, darlin, is snogging." He leaned in, deepening the kiss a little too hard too quickly. Ruya Ruya was taken totally by surprise when he kissed her. She had to admit it felt pretty good, and she liked the way he ran his hand through her hair. When he tried to make it deeper though, she made a muffled noise, "Mmmph," lifted her hands up and pressed against his shoulders to get him to let up. Silva He didn't notice the hand for a second, focused on the fact that she tasted like strawberries. But finally it got through, making him pull back. "Sorry, darlin..." He almost panted. He wasn't feeling completely in control. And usually that wouldn't have mattered, but she was so... convenient. In the yard behind his, that was. He wouldn't even have to go into that damn shop! He took a step back, feeling his control slip a little more. She looked so... damn... tasty in the moonlight. "I should get going." He muttered, backing up and disappearing into the darkness. Ruya As Silva disappeared, Ruya reached out for him. She lowered her arm when she saw he was gone and got a puzzled look on her face. Why had he left so suddenly? Ruya shook her head a little and stood, turning to where Rishi was looking at her from his seat by the door. Apparently he had found his way back to the porch at some point during her discussion with Silva. "Don't look at me like that." Ruya walked over and picked Rishi up, steadying him in her arms before lifting both of them up and into an open kitchen window. A few minutes later, Kam peeked out and picked up the jar with the firefly to bring it inside with her.

*The next day*
"What the hell was I thinking?" Silva muttered to himself, sitting on the ledge of his window, staring at the house behind his. His dumbbell was in front of him, dropped after a half-hearted workout. His mind was on the girl next door... well... more specifically how he had almost had the girl next door, only to back off like a damned idiot.
It wasn't like he cared about her. Hell, he had gone through all that firefly catching crap just to get snogged, and then when it had worked... he groaned, not wanting to think about it.
What he REALLY wanted, he thought... was a girl that... was a girl that... that DIDN'T have a brother lost. That didn't probably have a freakin family to drag him home to. That he didn't have to work his butt off for a little kiss. And one whose name he didn't have to remember in the morning.
"I'm ho-ome!!" The call sounded extremely cheerful for so early in the morning, making him wince and try to ignore her as she entered the room. "I'm home, Silva! And I just finished my LAST class in my Bachelors! I have a college ed-u-macation, babe!"
His eye twitched, her happiness making this morning get even worse. "That's fascinating, Ice. I'm sure it's worth... something."
She paused, looking thoughtful, then shrugging. "Not really, but it gave me something to do for five years." She dropped down on the bed, watching him curiously. "Why so blue, babe?"
He glared at her, wanting to take his irritation out, then shrugged, not wanting her to know she got to him. "It's too damn bright outside." He clipped out, looking back out the window.
She stood, looking out the window. "There something in the backyard you want to hunt?" She guessed.
"Let it go, Ice." He growled.
She raised an eyebrow, looking at him for a second, then shrugging, ruffling his hair with her forefinger. "Don't worry about it, babe. I'm sure everything will work out. And until then I'll go get you some cherries!"
He flushed, hating when she treated him like a kid, but not complaining. He had a thing for cherries.

Once again Io was coming through the door, her raven sitting on her shoulder, a crumpled half sheet of paper clenched tightly in her hand. Her blue eyes were filled with unshed tears, a mixture of sadness and anger. He had left her... That b*****d had left her before she could even get revenge for what he had done to her before. Before she could hurt him like he had hurt her in the time before.
But the worst part about it was the fact that she was having a hard time focusing on that revenge. She looked at the paper again, the words blurring through the tears so much that she couldn't read them. But it didn't matter. She knew them by heart.
She crumpled the paper up, wanting to get rid of it, wanting to go back to believing that he was just a door away... and she flung it across the room before stumbling out of Ice's room and heading for her own. She needed to sit in the dark listening to music... and cry.Silva jerked from where he had been reading his comic, blinking as a wad of paper hit him in the head and bounced off, rolling to the floor. He turned to complain, but the door closed before he even got the chance to speak. With a shrug he looked at the paper, then went to work uncrumbling it, having to brace himself on his feet and hands just to get it flattened. Finally he sat back and read her letter, not caring in the least that it wasn't his to read. Cern Io, I don't know when (or if) you'll get this. Everdark has decided to go into some sort of hermitage, and is taking me with her. She says it's a family thing, and the only way she'll be allowed on her homeworld again, ever. Since she had to flee there for our world, life imperiled by her gambling and big mouth, I don't understand why she would want to go back. In any case, she asked me to go. I guess she wants me to see what it was like for her there. Or something. Please don't hold this against me, Io. I know if I was determined, I could find a way to stay here. But it seems so important to her. I will try to hurry back, hopefully with a much saner mother in tow. Think of me? He sat there for a few minutes, pondering what this meant, then smirking slightly. It seemed the masque had a weakness, after all. It would figure she was a sucker for a guy. Now... how to exploit it... He had revenge to get, after all. Nobody laughed at his name and got away with it.

*The next day*
He hadn't come up with anything during his workout, so he had decided to work on that... magic... crap that Ruya had told him about, taking the gut instinct he used when seeing in the dark and trying to force it to help with his flying. He didn't know if it was magic or not, but it seemed to work.
A little too well, that was. He grunted, rubbing his head where he had hit it on the ceiling for the tenth time. When seeing in the dark there was no such thing as overkill, but in flying... He cursed as he felt himself heading towards the ground, it looked as if there was.
Why was he doing this? Really, if he planned on staying away from other feien then who gave a flying rat's a** if he could fly or not?
It had nothing to do with Ruya. Nothing. He gritted his teeth, focusing his power into the flying a little too strongly again and slamming his head into the ceiling. "Ouch..."
He decided that he was good enough at going up. Going forward might not be so... painful. He focused the "gut instinct" as he had come to think of it in the direction of the window and found himself heading that way. He blinked as he realized something... he still hadn't figured out how to stop. "OOF!" Face to the glass. He shook it off, shoving away from the glass and trying to go backwards. It worked, finally. But he couldn't fly backwards everywhere he went, that would just be stupid.
He unconsciously hovered there, trying to figure out his little quandrary. If he kept running into walls in front of him then his good looks would take a beating. But if he refused to fly at all... then his ego would take a beating. And that wasn't acceptable in his mind. Ego before beauty, after all.
He moved forward, changing his focus from the flying to his other problem. He had just spent a good hour working on his flying and he STILL hadn't come up with a way to get revenge on Io...
Except for one. And gaining her trust was an idea that made him scowl. Not because he couldn't do it... But because he was afraid he could. He dived, grabbing for the paper on the floor, but missed it, pulling up too soon. He smirked, enjoying the feel of falling for an odd reason, and decided to try it again, the thought of Io fading into the back of his mind once again.

((Compiled from a guild RP)) [dark red=Silva] [indigo=Averno] [black=Jhiri] [red=Calico]Silva meets Averno and Calico... Silva whistled, halting his ferret outside the tavern and jumping off. He had had a long day already, and he needed a drink. He walked into the tavern, his eyes adjusting to the darker area easily as he made his way across the room. With a smirk he levitated himself up to the feien area and headed for his corner seat.
He didn't bother shouting to be served, just waited, looking around idly, chewing on his toothpick. Sajhiri looked over at the sound of an entry and she smiled at Silva. "Hello there! What can I get you to drink today? Another cherry phosphate?" The fizzy olf-fashioned soda was one of Sajhiri's own favorites. In the corner of the room a dark figure flitted from shadow to shadow, inspecting, investigating, and absorbing information. At Sajhiri's address of Silva, Averno turned to investigate the new arrival. First impressions can only be made once, she thought to herself, and with a motion and a mumbled arcane word, she invoked a spell of flight to increase her airborne maneuverability. As the magic settled over her, she launched up towards the ceiling, then streaked into a dive above Silva's head, pulling up at the last moment to somersault twice in a display of aerial acrobatics. She kicked out into an langourously stretched position to alight, soundlessly, on the Feien-sized bartop in front of him, on the tips of her toes.
"I do not believe we've met, sir..." she purred out in a cool, but velvety tone. He raised an eyebrow, smirking slightly at her enterance. She had class, he thought, leaning back in his chair and studying her. Black curls, dark purple eyes that spoke of danger, black markings... This one expected to be fawned over.
There was only one route to take in his mind. He turned, ignoring her completely and focusing on Jhiri. "Sure, darlin, that sounds good." Then he waited, sure that it would ruffle her feathers good.Sajhiri nodded and bustled about to get Silva his drink. She took up an eyedropper to fill a Feien sized mug with the fizzy sweet beverage that was often only found these days in old fashioned soda shops. She hummed merrily as she worked. Averno's jaw set slightly, the only indication of her disgruntlement at Silva's ignoring her. With a flick of her sable curls, she strolled down the length of the bartop to it's end, hopping down to the floor with a smooth motion. Two can play at that game... she thought to herself. Her curls bobbed as she strolled away from the bar, towards one of the Feien-sized tables, sliding into a seat. With a distinctive lack of interest, she began to examine her nails by the dim light of the table lamp. "Whut the ******** is that??"
How was it a feien so small could be so loud, heard from where he was hovering momentarily outside of the tavern. It was like someone put a rat in a stretching rat and ripped its torso a couple extra inches. What an ugly little... thing! But getting over the ferret, Calico decided to go on inside.
The shop was becoming too damn common a place for him, if he wanted to stop running into the same feien (and increase his risks) he had to stop going to the same places. Besides, it was a tavern, maybe they had food. Easier to get it from here then go back home, where he was still in no mood to return.
Calico made no hurry for service though, absolutely perplexed upon entry and requiring him to study every inch of the commons in a leisurely flight. Oooohhh... the little one was ignoring him. He almost laughed, watching her for a second through lowered lashes. Then he turned away, his mind turning to something else, even though he had a perfectly new good toy.
He waited till his drink came to stand, sauntering slowly across the room and sitting across from her. "Pouting, darlin?" Sajhiri waved to Calico as he entered and called out in a jovial tone, "Welcome to the Tall Tales! What can I get you today, sir?" Averno crossed her legs, leaning back in her dixie cup chair and arching a brow. Her lips pursed in utter amusement as her eyes glittered with unvoiced laughter. "Pouting? What on earth would I be pouting for? I was just debating what to order." She wrinkled her pale nose slightly at the smell of the sweet soda in Silva's mug. "What on eaarrrrrth are you drinking?" she drawled with an air of disinterest.Calico cocked an ear for the human's words but ignored her polite offer regardless of how clear it was he had heard her. He put his attention between two things of interest: the flirting feien and the sunny windowsill. Well, he had a bad night, he could really go for the laughs of two feien trying to out charm another (though he still dubbed females too damn tricky to be worth his time).
So he flit to the feien commons of the tavern to settle wearily, itching lazily at the back of his head. God damn but he felt like hell so only now made his order to Jhiri, "Jus' water or whatevah..." Silva took his time answering, his focus drawn to the feien entering the room. He hadn't met this one, either... but something told him it wouldn't be just another encounter. He scowled, then wiped the scowl off, focusing on the female as the other made his way towards them.
"Something much sweeter than you seem to be, darlin." He replied, taking a lazy sip and watching her with amusement. "And I figured you were pouting because you didn't get the attention you wanted."
He paused, evaluating her through lowered lashes once again. "That opening move, darlin, just screams 'look at me.' You might want to tone it down."Sajhiri nodded towards Calico, and went about getting a little mug filled with water. She moved to deliver it carefully to the table the Feien was heading to. She glanced between Averno and Silva, but rather than interrupt, she retreated back to the human-sized bar once more. Averno laughed musically at Silva's words. "Don't flatter yourself. I wouldn't stoop to trying to gain attention from a little boy. I was practicing flight maneuvers and you happened to be in my designated landing area. Matter of fact, you were standing on the spot I had intended to land. Had I not adjusted course, I'd have been standing on your head, rather than the bartop." She glanced over at Calico, taking him in with a curious gaze as she added to Silva, "I also don't recall having invited you to sit at my table." "Seems like a strange place to be practicing, darlin. But if you say so." He followed her eyes, smirking slightly as he stood. Leaving right now was probably the best step to keep her paying attention. Besides, she had already tossed him off, he thought.
"You're right, though. Whatever was I thinking, sitting at your table. You have... bigger fish to fry." He stood, stepping back and looking over at Calico. "You want a go? I'm not... high-class enough for this one." Maybe this place wasn't SO bad. The human wasn't noisy but instead just gave him things when he asked for it - now why couldn't Nekota be like that at home 24-7? Calico clasped the little mug when he was fully settled, downing a majority in one throwback to quell his dry throat.
Once satified it was thunked down, as was his elbow, making his palm the resting place for his chin as he looked off toward Silva and Averno. He made absolutely NO attempt to conceal the fact that he was watching, why should he? So needless to say he arched an eyebrow nice and high when Silva called such a thing over.
"...." Sajhiri went about cleaning the bartop, humming her tune once more. Averno quelled a smirk and managed, in an almost cordial tone. "I did not say you had to leave, I merely brought up the fact of your inconsideration that for someone making presumptions of another's faults, perhaps you should turn your eye on yourself first." At his comment to Calico she merely smirked and settled back into her seat again.Calico snorted and turned suddenly back to his mug, peering to its empty bottom in debate if it was worth getting himself or demanding another. "A bloody ace example tah why girls are just too noisy." He grumbled aloud without concern to if they listened enough to hear.He almost snorted at the look on the brightly colored feien's face, but hid the amusement as he went about pandering to her highness in his own personal way.
"No, princess, you've made yourself clear. I wouldn't want you to be forced to put up with this... commoner's crass actions. So I should get going." He finished off his drink, then gave her a mocking bow. "Next time I feel like hobnobbing with royalty I'll be sure to call you." He turned, heading for the ledge of the area and turning his back to it so he could see her.
"It's been a trip, princess." He smirked, chewing on his toothpick before he took a step back, falling into a dive and barely managing to catch himself before he landed. "Put it on Ice's bill, Jhiri." He called before walking out.
She wouldn't forget him easily after this one. Sajhiri waved to the departing Silva's words, blissfully oblivious to the Feien drama going on far below her perch on a bar stool. Averno let out a softly derisive snort as Silva departed, refusing to follow him with her eyes. "Princess indeed..." she muttered under her breath. "I'll settle for nothing short of Empress, thank you very much...." She called out to Sajhiri, "I'd like a cup of chai, light on the nutmeg." Sajhiri looked a bit perplexed at the sudden order from her own charge, but she nevertheless put a teapot on to boil water for the chai.

“Upon devouring the body of her mate, the black widow—“ Silva was staring at the television, his mouth hanging open so the toothpick threatened to fall out. His dumbbell was held at half-mast, as though he had been in the middle of a lift when he started paying attention to what was on the television.
Slowly he realized that his arm was killing him, so he dropped the weight, never looking away from the TV. He jerked as it suddenly turned off, turning to see Ice in the doorway holding the controller. There was a box in her other hand. He didn’t know whether to be relieved or not.
“What—“ He started out gruffly.
“You got mail.” She interrupted, looking at the box. “Funny… I know this store. So… let’s open it up!”
“It’s my mail!”
“And I’m assuming it was my paypal.” She replied, ignoring him and digging out a pair of scissors. He scowled, trying to figure out a way out of what was about to happen.
“I have a question.” He announced, making her look up from where she was cutting through the tape.
“Yeah? What’s that?”
“…” He stopped, feeling a flush cover his face. “Do female—I mean… do girl feiens—Seeing as I’ve never met an adult male feien I just—“ He stopped, as she raised an eyebrow, feeling like an idiot. “Never mind.”
“No, go on. Now I’m curious.”
“It’s nothing.” He muttered darkly, heading to the mail that was lying forgotten on the bed. He leaned down, dragging at the box and pulling it away from her, almost in time. She grabbed it, smirking slightly.
“No, no, I want to see what my money bought, babe.” She said, ripping the rest of the tape off and looking at the book blankly for a few seconds. “…”
He waited, a strange smirk on his face as he fought back the urge to laugh as she turned red.
“Bondage… fairies?” She finally asked, earning a nod. She opened the book, curious in spite of herself. “Oh… um…” She choked. “I didn’t even know that was possible…”
“Quit hogging it.” He muttered, crawling up her shirt so that he was sitting on her shoulder. She slammed the book shut.
“No way, babe. You’re too young for this kinda thing… Hell, I’M too young for this kinda thing.” She stood, looking for a place to stow it away. “Besides, feien don’t have those… parts.” She said, blushing again as she shoved it onto a shelf. “And since you can’t fly, this should do perfectly.”
“I—I mean… dammit.” He sighed, inwardly satisfied with this situation.
“So…” She started out. “What was your question?”
“Nothing important.”

((Formatting thanks to Kamtrouble^_^ Hers is so much prettier than mine heart ))The Taste of Cherries Silva Silva sat on the porch, nursing a bottlecap full of vanilla milkshake. He had a twig of cherries beside him and the stereo on the table was blasting old time rock and roll. At the moment "A Simple Man" was playing, making him smirk slightly. My Momma told me... when I was young... sit beside me, my only so-on...Ruya Ruya hummed as she skipped out of the kitchen window and floated down to the porch. It was once again time to walk the dog. She set Rishi down, and smiled as he bounded away. It was a nice day out, and there was plenty for a dog to explore. Ruya made her way to the fence, mostly on foot and peered out from behind it. Silva was apparently out as well, and she wavered a moment before yelling a friendly, "Hello!" Silva He jerked in the middle of taking a drink, accidentally sloshing milkshake onto his face. He put the cup down, wiping the shake off his face with an impatient move. He looked at the shake on his hand, raised an eyebrow, then licked it off. "Hello, darlin." He called back, pondering the differences between this female and the one he had met at the tavern. "Want to split a cherry with me?" He called, not planning on giving away a full one. Ruya Ruya flew up to the top of a fence post and sat there. Conversing would be easier without lots of grass in the way. "Maybe. When we're done are you gonna run away?" She'd had some time to think about their last run in and had decided in favor of being upfront. Things were better out in the open and resolved. Silva Silva paused, ignoring her for a second as he examined his cheery. "Now, darlin... This is a sweet looking cherry." He smirked, dipping it into the milkshake and looking at it with a smirk. "And it tastes, darlin... like heaven." He licked a little of the shake off of it, closing his eyes to enjoy the flavor before looking back at her. "Something like this shouldn't be eaten in gulps, darlin." Ruya Ruya grinned in spite of herself. He was so ... she didn't really have a word for it actually, but she kinda liked it. "Ah, but eventually you will finish that cherry and throw it away, no matter how much you enjoyed it. I'm not sure I like this metaphor, even if I am the one who started it." She spread her wings out a little in the sun, and leaned back to rest on her hands behind her. Silva Silva winced at her comment about finishing and throwing away. "That's what I was afraid of..." He muttered almost under his breath before licking the cherry again. "But you should enjoy the time you have, darlin. Make it last as long as possible. We only live once, after all." He took a bite then, taking the time to savor the flavor. Ruya "True. And cherries will forever be a flawed analogy for feien since they don't have any choice in who eats them." Satisfied, Ruya stood and made her way over to Silva's porch and sat down close, but not too close to Silva. "I'd be happy to share a cherry with you." Silva "But--" He stopped, feeling slightly hunted, but at the same time... "Sure, darlin. With shake or without?" Inwardly he was wondering if her being hungry was a good thing or not... "So, darlin... who would you choose to... eat?" Ruya Ruya ran a hand through her hair and thought about it. She wasn't sure about the unknown substance, but it seemed impolite to doubt Silva's food. "Either. I've never had shake before, so I don't have any idea if I would like it." She laughed at the next question and replied playfully, "Me? I thought I was the cherry in this analogy?" Silva He paused, then relaxed almost visibly. "Of course darlin. I was speaking hypothetically. And you might want to try drinking the shake before you dip the cherry in it. You might not like it." He went back to slowly eating his cherry, asking off the cuff, "So, darlin. Whatcha been up to these days?" That was good. Change the subject... he didn't really want to think about anybody eating anybody else at the moment, it really ruined the mood. Ruya "Oh so now I get my own cherry? Excellent." Ruya reached out and grabbed a cherry off the twig and took a bite. She chewed thoughtfully. What had she been up to lately? "I visited a friend and dropped off a gift I made him. We watched a movie together, it was pretty fun." She pondered exactly how to describe Neruo's visit, but in the end went for the bare truth. "And I had a friend come over to visit me as well. He brought me flowers," she blushed a tiny bit thinking about the visit. "He even showed me a really cool trick with some toothpicks." And managed to stab himself with one of them, she added mentally. "What have you been up to lately?" She took another bite of the cherry and tried to ignore the feeling that she really wanted a napkin. Silva TWO males? The girl was even more popular then he was! He took another bite of his cherry, hiding a scowl. "Flowers, huh? Sounds like he was out to impress you, darlin." He chewed for a few minutes, watching her with an inexplicible smirk playing on his lips. "He your boyfriend?" So what if she had a boyfriend? He'd just have to find another girl for his intended trio... He scowled, remembering the last girl he had met... Maybe this WAS a problem... Ruya "I think he was, " Ruya smiled, "and he did. But no, he isn't. I don't have a boyfriend." She took another bite of the cherry and tried to look surreptitiously for something to wipe her mouth with. "You dodged the question though, what have you been up to Silva?" Silva and Ice He was about to reply when the door to the house opened, a happy looking Ice coming out with big sheets of... something... in her hands. "I brought a baby wipe! That shake must be stic--" She stopped, blinking at the sight of the girl sitting with her feien. "Why didn't you tell me we had visitors? Would you like a baby wipe? Since... oh my... Silva is actually sharing?" She blinked, the hearts in her eyes making Silva groan inwardly. "Ice?" "Yes babe?" "Put the cloth down and walk away." "Oh... oh my, you probably want some alone time. I can't--" She stopped her rambling, putting the cloth down between the two and running back to find a convenient spot to spy on them. "Don't mind my bondmate... she's insane." Ruya Ruya set down the cherry, silently but quickly snatched up the cloth and wiped her face. Thank god. She was starting to wonder if she would just have to drown herself in the cherry to avoid that gross, dirty, sticky feeling. "Nice to be clean." Ruya rubbed her face a couple more times to be sure, before setting down the cloth and picking back up the cherry. "She seemed nice enough to me." Silva "Um... yeah." He replied, watching her for a few seconds before shrugging it off. "She has her uses." He smirked, thinking of one of his favorite gifts from Ice. "You ever ride a ferret, darlin?" Ruya "A ferret? Isn't that a type of rodent? No, I've never ridden one." Ruya thought about it for a second and then dipped her cherry in the shake. She eyed it dubiously and then took a bite. Oh dear that was messy, but it tasted pretty good. Silva "Yeah, he's a rodent. Kinda ugly, but hell, nobody's perfect." He took another bite. "Runs faster then hell, though. Goes straight up fences and everything." He looked over at her, smirking as she tried the shake on her cherry. "I'll have to take you for a ride sometime, darlin." He was already looking forward to the feel of her pressed up against his back, holding on for dear life. Ruya "Straight up fences?" Ruya wasn't sure she liked the sound of that. At least when she was flying she was the one in control. "Sounds... exciting." She took another bite of the cherry and a drop of shake fell on her leg. She sighed, holding the cherry in one hand while she reached out with the other to use the napkin to wipe off her leg. Shake was tasty, but possibly not worth the trouble it seemed to cause. Silva "Yeah... I've been thinking about using him for gliding, actually. Tie a string to his saddle then hang on for dear life from the sky..." He went on, not noticing her skepticism. "It sounds like a s**t load of fun." He turned, noticing her using the towel again. He shrugged it off as he finished the cherry, grabbing his own corner and wiping off thoroughly. "So, darlin... tell me about this flower boy of yours. What's his name? Who's his bondmate?" Where's he live? How tough is he? And why in the hell do you think I'll let him move in on my territory, he finished silently, none of his thoughts showing on his face. Ruya Ruya looked at the bowl of cherries, and wished men were that simple. You looked the cherries over, you picked a couple you liked and you ate them. The cherries didn't ask questions about eachother, they just sat there and looked yummy. It was unlikely they would ever meet however, so Ruya didn't bother to dodge the question. "His name is Neruo. And his bond is LF, I believe. Why the interest? You looking for a boyfriend?" Ruya smirked. Silva A boyfriend? He choked, then laughed out loud. "Sure am, darlin! I've seen the light. I'm going... what's the opposite of straight?" Ruya Ruya laughed along with Silva. "Gay, I believe, would be the common slang. And really? I'm that bad of a kisser huh?" She giggled some more, and took another bite of the cherry, almost done now. Silva "We'll have to find out, now won't we?" He scooted over, sliding his hand into her hair again, but pausing. "Did he kiss you? The flower boy?" His finger moved in her hair, playing with it and brushing over the base of her ears. "I wouldn't blame him if he did, darlin..." But I sure as hell would figure out a way to punish him. He finished inwardly. Ruya Ruya giggled, "Mmm.. Thats really between me and him, isn't it?" She liked it when he played with her hair. She played with her own hair all the time, but it never felt half as exciting as having him do it. Her eyes closed a little, she slid one of her hands around his waist, pulling him a little closer. Silva "Ahhh... but I don't poach in other men's territory, darlin. So if he kissed you I don't think I should." He whispered into her ear, still playing with her hair even as she pulled him closer. He leaned in so his lips were almost brushing hers. "So... did he?" Ruya Ruya sighed and pulled back a little. "Do you want to kiss me or do you want to talk about other boys who I may or may not have kissed?" She was a little annoyed. She wanted to kiss. She had the little butterfly feeling and everything. She did not feel like talking about Neruo and ruining the mood. Silva He groaned, giving in to the pouting and pulling her closer again, nibbling on her bottom lip. It went against his better judgement, if she was two timing him then he really should go-- He shoved the thoughts to the back of his mind, focusing on the kiss, drawing it out this time. If she HAD kissed the other male he would damn well make her forget all about it. And then he would find this... Neruo. Even if it meant going into the shop. Ice Ice watched from the window, shocked. "My baby boy... is a macdaddy." She muttered, staring in something akin to amazement. Ruya Ruya leaned into the kiss and slid the hand on his back up to play with the base of his wings. She shut out everything but the feel of his lips on hers. Unlike Silva, Neruo was the last thing on her mind. Silva After a little while he pulled back, gently pushing her hair over her ear. "Now, darlin, remember the cherry." He drawled, lazy eyelids covering his thoughts. "One bite at a time." He flicked on his nightvision as he realized that sometime during the kiss it had gotten dark, the stars and moon clouded over, the scent of an approaching storm in the air. "You should go home, darlin... before it rains." He thought about mentioning the other male again, then tossed it off. He would find out what he wanted one way or another. Speaking of wanting to know things... he had never found out who Sunil's lacky was... Ruya "Mmmm..." Ruya sighed a little, her eyes still closed. "Ok. Rishi is probably waiting for me anyway." She opened her eyes and stood, stretching towards the sky. Sitting in one position for a while could make one want to do that. "Night." Ruya smiled, waved, and took off for the porch where she could dollect Rishi and head inside for the night. Silva Silva watched where she had gone long after she had disappeared, a cruel look on his face now that no one could see him. His hand fisted as he stood, heading into the house. He felt the urge for a bath. "Ice! Dammit woman, I know you're around! Get me a bath, would you? I feel like cooling off." He finished in a mutter as she came out and scooped him up. "Soooo?" "So what?" "Who's your girlfriend?" "Somebody else's girl." He replied, ending the subject with those words. She nodded, feeling sad for him as they went into the house.

She was cheating on him, he thought, sitting in the window, staring out at the backyard. She was cheating on him... and it wasn't even something interesting like with another girl. Nooo... had to be another guy. One that brought flowers.
"Flowers... hah." He muttered. He stood, stretching and looking around. He had talked Ice into hanging a beanbag from the window so he could use it as a punching bag. He walked over, taking his stance that he had picked up from watching boxing on TV and went to work beating the sand out of the bag.
"No good... ^$%@!%& #%#^@! flowers." He muttered, punctuating wach hit with a word.
It wasn't as if he cared, though. It was just he considered this poaching on his territory. How she could admit that she was dating someone else then kiss him... He scowled, uppercutting the bag. He pulled back, delivering a series of blows to the bag. He told himself this was just another workout... but damn did it feel good.
He paused, panting slightly, feeling the muscles in his body twinge with the beginnings of pain. It felt DAMN good... He smirked, loving the rush of adenaline that came with a good workout. There was something about pushing his body to its limits that made the world seem to be a better place.
He stopped with the punching, moving to a few strategic kicks, knee, knee, sidekick, roundhouse... dammit, the roundhouse needed work... Again... better. Did he want revenge?
Hell yes.
But would he get it? Not just yet. He wanted to draw the revenge out... play with his prey. And maybe she would figure out just how dangerous her little... game... was. He slammed his knee into the beanbag again, smirking as the sides ripped slightly and small bead like things leaked out.

((Compilation by me, based on Kam's style))Rivalry Silva Silva sat in the shelves, patiently watching the feien shop from the shadows. He was getting irritated, having waited for a while now, and no one had come in. But hell, he thought, chewing on his toothpick, even if the kid he was looking for showed up... how would he know it was him? All Ruya had told him was that he had given her flowers. Unless the kid came in toting a bouquet, then he would... dammit... have to ask. Neruo Neruo floated slowly in, having just come from a hour's worth of sunbathing. He was extremely happy, and practically glowed. He found an empty table and lit on it, stretching. Silva Silva jerked from where he was sitting half-asleep as he noticed another feien enter. He stood, stretching a little before jumping off the edge of the shelf and heading towards the lazy looking feien. He stepped onto the table, chewing on his toothpick and looking over the newcomer for a second before speaking. "Hey, kid." He finally said, not quite sure what to talk about with another male. "Don't think I've met you, yet." Neruo Neruo's ears perked at the sound of a newcomer's voice and he turned about slowly. He smiled and extended his hand in greeting. He noted Silva's burgandy color. The color of wine. "I am Neruo. I've never met you before. What's your name?" he asked politely. Silva Silva blinked... then blinked again, staring at the hand for a second as his mind slowly processed. "Neruo, you say?" He asked, quickly covering his shock. He smirked, taking the hand. He turned, looking around the shop as he thought for a few minutes. "Come here often?" He glanced at the other male from the corner of his eye, noting the curls and markings... Committing them to memory. Neruo Neruo smiled again. He hadn't met one like this. LF had a similar companion named Larka, but he didn't see much of her, despite living in the same house...He shrugged and absently twirled one of his tight curls around his index finger. "I try to come as often as possible. Some of my friends are here when I am, so I visit with them. Sometimes I read. Do you come here often? And, you never did tell me your name..." Silva "I didn't, did I?" Silva replied, chewing on his stick and shrugging. "I have one. Just don't feel like sharing it." He looked the other male in the eye, smirking slightly. "A name can be a dangerous thing, kid. If the wrong people have it then bad things could happen." "But enough about me. Why don't you tell me about some of these... friends... of yours. My bondmate keeps telling me I should meet new people." He gave his rendition of a friendly smile, showing just a few too many teeth. "You might be useful to me." Neruo Neruo tilted his head. Odd. He didn't want to reveal his name. Never met a Feien like that before. Perhaps he was named something embarrassing? Or he was hiding from the law? LF watched too many crime shows sometimes. He watched Silva's smile, perplexed. Useful? "I suppose I'd be glad to be helpful to you. You need something done that you can't do yourself? I'll try to help if I can." Silva Helpful? Silva almost laughed. "You know..." He said, changing his approach slightly. "There is something I could use help with. Come over here, kid. Sit with me. I've got a story to tell." He headed for the edge of the table, assuming the other male would follow, then sat down, his leg hanging over the side. "See, kid... there's this girl. She's gorgeous, actually. Bright colors, sweet smile. The kind of girl you find yourself watching out the window for while you're doing your workout." He sighed, watching the other male for a response. "But... well, I'm not the kind of guy you bring home to mother. At least that seems to be what she thinks..." Neruo Neruo wandered over to Silva, but did not sit down. He crossed his arms, thinking. This Feien seems a bit secretive, but not overly rude or anything. Why would this other female not like him enough to tell others about it? It seemed odd. "Well, I'm not one to do workouts, but I suppose I know what you mean. Perhaps she'd be more inclined to 'bring you home' if you...adjusted your attitude accordingly...perhaps then she'd like you more? But maybe that's too much. You wouldn't want to change so much and then not really be yourself anymore. Is she worth that kind of effort?" He wandered around some more, but stayed near Silva. He thought about the female's description. Bright colors...sweet smile... Silva He almost twitched. Adjust his attitude? When he was fighting the urge to strangle the kid? Hell, he was on his best behavior! "It's not that simple, kid. It isn't as if she doesn't like me... but I'm not like... well... you, I suppose. Hell, I bet you bring your dates flowers. And don't kiss until the third date. Me, well, I'm not like that. And I'm not going to change..." He sighed, shrugging slightly. "But that's not the worse part, kid. You see, she spends her nights hanging over at my place, you know... talking, hunting fireflies... other things. But she spends her days with one of your type. The respectable type. And I'm starting to get... well, hell, guess I should just speak my mind. I'm starting to get mad as hell, kid." Neruo Neruo sighed slightly. He felt bad for the burgandy Feien. "Well, I'm terribly sorry that she seems torn. And yes, I suppose I'm more of a 'good' and, perhaps 'noble' person, but that doesn't mean that she can't like you for who you are. She seems torn. Perhaps you should talk to her about it?" He finally sat down, crisscrossing his legs beneath him and resting his chin on his palms. He wanted to help, but he wasn't sure how. He was just now coming to grips with what he felt for a certain Feien, and wasn't quite sure what the rules of such feelings were...he just...went with his instincts. Perhaps they were right? Nonetheless, Silva deserved better than this, he figured. He didn't seem so bad. "I'm sorry that you're mad, too. Maybe speaking your mind would make you feel better?" Silva Silva bit back a smirk, noticing the other male's sympathy and planning on exploiting it. Of course the "good" and "noble" comment made him want to get violent, he didn't have time for that. Right now he needed the kid right where he had him. "Torn, huh? That's one way of putting it. Maybe I should put this in terms you would understand, kid. You've got a girl, right? A nice looking guy like you is sure to have somebody." He paused, waiting for his reply. He wanted to make sure this was the kid he wanted, though it sure as hell seemed to be. Neruo Neruo tilted his head. "Somebody? No, not really. I mean, I'm not too sure. I'm just really coming to understand my feelings, and I'm not positive about how she feels in return...so I'm not sure. And besides, I'm not THAT good looking. I have puft cheese-snack hair..." he said with a chuckle. He shrugged. "Who is it that you're talking about? Perhaps I could talk to them and explain this all to her. Maybe you should write her a note?" Silva He blinked. Not sure? The kid was either dancing around the bush... or... He scowled, deciding to think about it later. "Let me finish, kid. You're jumping the gun." He took his toothpick out, examining it for a while and thinking for a second. The kid wanted to know who she was, huh? Wanted to give him a hand... he smirked, wondering how willing the kid would be AFTER finding out who it was. "This girl that you're not sure of, kid.... Does she make you feel like doing stupid things? Does she make you... jealous? See, my girl... well, I don't think I'd want you talking to her. You're just the type of guy I'm pissed off at." He sighed. "And I'm afraid I'm not as... kind as you would be, kid. Not if she took a liking to you... too." Neruo Neruo thought a moment. "I suppose that, yes, she does sometimes make me feel like doing stupid things to impress her, but most males do that as instinct anyway...well, most human males. That's what LF said...And jealous? Who am I suppose to be jealous of? I don't think she's done anything to make me jealous...not that I'm aware of." What is he getting at? Neruo wondered. He seems much more well-versed in the ways of women than I...maybe I'm just ignorant. Silva "You don't think, kid. That's the problem. Me, though, I KNOW. Now take this girl that you're not sure of and imagine her with someone else... And since you're more like the other guy then me, imagine her sneaking out at night chasing fireflies with a not so noble guy. Eating cherries... kissing." He sat back, waiting for the idea to sink in. Neruo Neruo thought of Ruya...chasing butteflies...okay, I can picture that...eating cherries...I THINK I know what a cherry is...and...kissing? I've seen that done on TV...with another Feien... Neruo was silent as the thoughts and images sunk in. He stared intently at the table beneath them and fluffed his wings absently. He finally looked up after a considerable amount of time. "I suppose that, if she really does like another Feien better than me...it's her business...I really don't mind." Silva He was... shocked, actually. Then he started laughing. "Kid..." He said, taking a breath and wiping away a tear. "I like you. You've got style. And it's almost too bad that I'm gonna have to do this." He stood, stretching slightly. "You know that girl I was talking about? Her name is Ruya." He waited, watching to see how the other guy took it. "And she told me the name of the other man." Neruo Neruo shrugged. He didn't know what Ruya did when he wasn't around, but wasn't too concerned about it. As far as he could tell, there really wasn't much between them anyway...well, not much yet, but if she prefered someone else, then that was entirely up to her. "I was wondering about that. I didn't know you knew Ruya. She's nice, isn't she? I guess you're the one she's been...kissing. Does she like you more, or do you know?" Silva "I don't know, kid. But I'm sure we'll find out one way or another." He was still angry... but not nearly as pissed as he had been. This kid wouldn't know HOW to take advantage, even if he wanted to. He looked the kid over critically, noting that the hair really DID make him look like a girl. Other then that... He shrugged. "Hell, man. If she does choose me we'll just have to find you another girl." He smirked, looking forward to it for some strange reason. "You like princesses?" Neruo Neruo shrugged. "Who says I need someone else? I'm not really interested in anyone else. But, if Ruya chooses you over me, then that's fine. I'm surprised I was even in the running after meeting you." He blinked his gray eyes and sat down, a few feathers leaping from his wings. He was surprised to even be considered by Ruya, and for that, he was happy. Silva Silva shrugged, smirking slightly. The kid was interesting. He would be worth hunting down later... or not. He shrugged, turning and slipping out of the shop. He had spent too much time in the shop already. Who knew when a crowd would show up? But now he had to deal with Ruya... He dropped down beside his ferret and mounted up, his mind already on something completely different.

“It’s shopping time!!” The cheerful voice made him wake up with a groan, turning to glare at the already dressed Ice. “Get up, sleepy head! We’re going shopping!”
“I’ll pass.” He muttered, turning to go back to sleep.
“Awww, c’mon. You can buy a present for your friend!”
“She’s not my friend.” He muttered, still trying to go to sleep.
“Well… I guess I could ask Io to stay here—“
He shoved himself up, scowling. “Alright, alright, I’m coming.” He muttered, standing and stretching. “But it had better be worth it…”
“It will be!” She replied, looking too happy for that hour in the morning.
“What time is it, anyways?”
“Noon.”
“Oh.”
Half an hour later they found themselves in the minishops of Gaia, strolling down the rows of shops as Ice took in the wares. “No… no… is that a vibrator? I mean, no… Huh… don’t remember seeing this place before!” Silva ignored her, sitting on her shoulder wishing he had a comic book or something to keep him occupied. Shopping was the biggest waste of time ever created in his mind. Unless there was something HE wanted.
He didn’t even notice the small at first, he was too busy trying to sleep on Ice’s shoulder without falling off. It was hard to do without looking like a clinging idiot. But the smell of sulfur hit him like a slap, making him have to look around. He blinked at the sight of dragons in stalls lining the sides of the building.
“Hmm… too big… oh, look! They have a special on tiny dragons! Let’s go see them!” He had no say in the matter as Ice headed for the small pin on the table full of what looked like… naked rats with wings in his estimation. He jumped down, bored with his position and curious. “Ohh!! They’re so cute!!”
“Whatever.” He muttered, hopping the pin and looking around at the dragons. They were small, barely coming to his knee, and they weren’t doing anything. He started to turn, writing off his inkling of an idea when he felt something clamp its teeth into the back of his leg. “AHHH!!!”
He turned, his hand reaching for his chain when he noticed what it was… A little red and black dragon with an evil grin in its eyes. He stopped, chewing on his toothpick for a while as he thought. “I want this one, Ice.” He finally said, reaching down and scooping up the small dragon.
He blinked as another came running, headbutting him from behind, catching the back of his knee and sending him stumbling. He rolled over, grabbing the throat of the little white dragon that had had the gall to attack, only to blink as it blew smoke in his face. Shoving himself to his feet while managing to keep a hold of both dragons, he turned, smirking at his bondmate.
“I guess you want both, don’t you?” She asked, sighing. “I don’t know what it is with you and dangerous creatures, I swear.” She turned, talking to the owner, and soon they had the dragons boxed and ready for the trip home, Silva smirked the entire trip.
He might not be able to get revenge in the way he wanted… the kid didn’t know what he was into, and Ruya… well Ruya had pissed him off. So she was going to get a present. Something a lot more annoying then flowers, that was for sure.
