Melphaligal the Challama Also the fact that Magnezone doesn't have Levitate?! DAMNIT ITS FLOATING WHY IS THERE NO LEVITATE! Quoted for truth in the highest sense of the word. Although, with all the new D/P moves, Magneton actually became useful. And we were granted a kick a** evolution. Win/win. :3

Win/win. :3 Oh I am not saying I do not like it, because I have one of my own that I love. However I just do not like the fact that it doesn't have levitate. There isn't a point to Magnet Rise either since I never use it and I could put something better there...

Well, Proton's Magnet Rise allows him to survive Double Battle Earthquakes from Scallop, so I owe it a few wins.

oh, jeez. i'm getting tired of people bitching about how there's so much pokemon out there that are worthless/wierd looking/weak/etc. one of the goals is to "gotta catch 'em all." ok, i must admit that there's pokemon that are worthless/wierd looking/weak/etc, so just catch them , evolve them [if needed], then leave them in your pc. well, you can also trade pokemon to save you some time to raising everything. if you like a pokemon that is "weak," then train it and give it some stat raisers. not all pokemon could be "perfect."
in the later instalments of the game, there has some text on how to play the game [gameplay and controls]. why cant it be optional to skip this step all together?

Bronzor/Bronzong. 99.99% of them in game have Levitate, meaning they're only weak to fire moves, and there are so few fire pokemon early in the game. (Chimchar's evolution line and Ponyta/Rapidash. That's it.) And both of their defenses are so hiiiigh... Not to mention that every beeping boss later on seems to have one...
Oh, and male Combees. They're pretty much useless - they only ever learn two weak moves, ever, and these moves aren't even good for any contests or anything. (And please note that, to date, the only shiny I've run into in Diamond is a male Combee. It's a red bee, but all it does is look pretty, and I want to be able to show it off!) I really hope someday we get a male Combee evolution that's, like, a drone or something, and that when that happens, pokemon from Diamond and Pearl can be transferred to that game...

The fact that there are still glitches in the 4th generation.
Gamefreak was never meant to make games, but we love them for it anyway.
Also, I have an in-game grudge against one of waiters on S.S. Anne in Yellow version. (this was before I new about the walking backwards glitch) I innocently walked up to him for the first time and pressed th "A" button to talk to him. He didn't respond. I press it again and what does he do? HE WALKS AWAY FROM ME SIDEWAYS! This was more than eight years ago and I still regard him ad the rudest NPC ever (though the glitch really was beyond his control).

A drone... that's a good idea. 3nodding I understand the uselessness of the male Combee for sure though... it took more than 3 days to actually hatch a female one. :Gonk:

This topic has now transformed into the "Things that annoy you/Suggestions to make the series better" topic.
On a ride to school, I was discussing with Kumo about how the Pokemon games need to offer more characterization of the trainer themselves. A custom trainer option would be fantastic, as I assume some of us are starting to get a little iffy with the newer designs.
But what I'm really getting at, that I think would be fantastic would be the aspect of trainer status and condition. Make the trainer get tired, sick, hungry, anything. It's not as immersing if we feel like we're controlling a ten year old robot. Make prolonged exposure to the sun impair his vision and have them unable to see the remaining health of his or his opponent's Pokemon, or have their Pokemon's remaining PP become blurry. Make his hunger somehow negatively affect his performance, like losing turns. Same thing with Pokemon, make them need to eat food or their health and move power diminish. Also, let the trainers have health, and let them pass out if the player is too stupid to let anything happen to them. Have some sort of negative connotations for that too. Wild Pokemon attacking the trainer randomly would be exciting too, allowing you to need to react quickly or take damage.
Just saying, a little more realism would be nice. Make a journey to set out at the age of 10, with magic creatures and real world dangers actually seem like a life altering adventure, not a bike ride in central park.
Don't tell me 'zomg kids cant play gaems that haev diphikulty'. Our generation, the older high school/college kids were the first audience, and we still make up a huge portion of those who play the game.

What gets me the most is the method of catching pokemon. I mean I get the whole I throw a pokeball at you and you go inside but when the pokemon is in it it shakes like three times breaks free. Next round pokeball is thrown and shake ONCE! and then the pokemon breaks free. I believe that it should be totally different. Maybe just do a button combo or something not a calculated chance of catching it.

I disagree Mike, all those extra conditions would just make me angry that I have to spend time thinking about my dumb trainer. Maybe if it was just the pokemon I'd be okay with it but I think that would take away from the battling experience.
On a side note, a semi-fighting game style would be cool. You actually battle the enemy pokemon and have your four move choices instead of just clicking a button. Of course that would be hard to program with 480 pokemon each having basically different moves but it would be kinda cool if it could happen. (Actually this could make implementing your ideas about being hungry, tired, etc. more plausible: You move slower, attack slower, etc when under those conditions).
