Edward rested his head on Bella's while he stroked her hair. "It will be OK, love," he whispered to her. "Just think, this will soon be over and we will be together."
lex knocked; a hard rap on the door, her old sign to let Edward know it was her.
Edward tensed. Lexia? he thought wildly. "Excuse me for a moment, Bella," Edward stammered, heading for the door. Upon opening it, his senses stopped. "Lexia?" he asked in bewilderment.
Lex threw him that smile she knew he couldn't resist. "For the last time, it's Lex," she said with a light chuckle.
"What are you doing here?" he asked as he walked outside, closing the door behind him. "Aren't you that dog's property now?"
She glared at him. "Edward, you know i didn't want to become a dog! I wanted to be like you..." she exclaimed. "Ever since i've been in their pack i've smelled terrible! I can't keep my thoughts hidden, but then again, you can read mine, so what's the difference?"
Edward chuckled lightly. "And to think you could have been a vampire. To think i coud have changed you. What was i thinking, letting you stay human?" he mumbled, running his slender fingers through his tousled hair.
"Aw Edward, don't blame yourself," Lex said, slowly moving her hand so it was placed on top of his. "So... how's Bella these days?" She cringed as she said this.
"Fine... just fine. Getting ready for our wedding," he said as his eyes glazed over like they were a million miles away.
"So... you're going to change her i assume?" Lex whispered.
He nodded slowly, wishing more and more that he had changed Lex when he had the chance.

Bella sat on the couch and but her head in her hands as a sigh escaped her, "Alice....there is two weeks...can we please just not deal with this now?" She was down, but that was because of Edward's facial expression when he heard the knocking at the door.
Who could've been at the door? And why did he have that facial expression?
She got up and walked out the back door, just to get some fresh air, but when she got out, her foot got caught on a branch that was laying on the ground and she fell. "OW!" she looked down at her leg, and saw that her ankle had started getting black and blue. "Great....this is just great...and now my ankle is sprained...."
Alice nodded slowly, sensing something was going on, she went to the door and opened it slowly, "Edward...You are needed....Bella happened to sprain her ankle in the few minutes that you were gone....." she winced, smelling Lex's scent. "I'll be in the back helping her out....."

{right now, Lex and Edward are outside talking, Bella tripped and now has a swollen ankle (surpirise, surprise!) and Alice is making her way back to help, but obviously isn't strong enough to lift her on her own.....}

{im sorry, ive been in germany for awhile and i havent really been on here to post anything}
Edward looked from Alice to Lex. "Alice could you give me a minute?" he asked her, pleading.
"Naw, it's fine, I don't want to stop you from getting to Bella sooner. Just go to her," Lex mumbled, getting up and heading for the woods surrounding the house.
Edward sighed heavily. She was gone; just like that. He got up unwillingly and went inside to help Bella.
Lex's eyes teared up as she broke into a hard sprint for La Push. She couldn't turn... yet. Sam is going to murder me... she thought to herself.

Carisile looked blank for a moment. then he realized what she was talking about.
"oh! that! would you like to come in?" he asked.
"sure... why not... im just standing at your doorstep for no reason..." Aubry declared sarcastically. "and btw... congrats with Bella and Edward..."
"How did you know about that?" Carisile asked, raising an eyebrow.
"oh, i have my ways... so... the house hasn't changed much." Aubry digressed.
"no, not at all... have you met Alice and Edward personally?" he asked as both of them walked by. "and was that Bella i heard as well?"
"no, i have not. i believe that Bella is in need of assistance, so i'll wait til that is done." if you were listening, you could hear a slight British accent in Aubry's voice.
Carisile was a little edgy. it had been a long time since he had seen Aubry, and that was in a difficult time for the both of them. she seemed to be more composed and relaxed since last time... but with Aubry, anything was possible...

Alice sighed and looked up to see Edward, "Oh. Hey. Well, aparently you can see what happened."
Bella looked up and gave a disheveled smile, "I'm sorry...I'm such a klutz...." She sighed, " I wish I was graceful...." she laughed slightly.
Alice laughed slightly, "I think I will leave you two alone..." and with that, she danced off singing wedding tunes.
When she left, Bella turned and she tried to keep a straight face when her ankle throbbed. "Edward....does Lex hate me?" she asked softly, looking to the ground.

"But then you wouldn't be you," he said, giving a slight smile. "And no... she's just... I can't tell you... she made me promise." His face became pained as he turned to look away.
She passed the boarder, turning into her wolf form. LEXIA! You better get to the beach! Quil yelled into her mind. Sam is out for blood on you She snarled angrily. I'll be there! she yelled into his mind.

Carisile noticed that Alice was dancing off into another room.
"Alice? could you bring our guest to the kitchen and get her a refreshment?" he asked, wanting to get Aubry preoccupied. "and was that Bella i heard? what happened? oh, never mind, i'll just find out my self." he walked into the room that Bella and Edward was in. "alright... what happened?" he asked, still a little edgy about Aubry. "and as an fyi, there's a guest that is hopefully in the kitchen by now. she could beat all of our a$$es if we are not careful." it wasn't like Carisile to cuss, which even surprised himself, but he was right, she could. "she is very powerful, and is capable of almost anything, so be careful when you're around her..."
Aubry looked at Alice.
"i am presuming that you are Alice?" she asked, holding out her hand to shake.

Alice beamed, "uh-huh! I'm Alice.....Would you like me get you something to drink?"
Bella winced, "I guessed...." her ankle was still swelling and she looked up at Carlisle, "uhm...I...tripped...?" she said this a bit innocently, for she was almost always hurt in some way. She laughed nervously, "Not a surprise...huh?" she asked softly. She looked up to Edward, her thoughts racing about Lexia, Did he....love her before he met me....? she asked herself silently, knowing Edward couldn't hear her. She brushed off the thought, changing the subject just slightly.
"Edward....if something is bothering you...you can tell me.....I'll listen as long as you want to talk...." she smiled softly, "That's why we are here for each other...right?"

Bella nodded silently, and noticed how silent Edward was being. "Edward...are you...okay? You're worrying me...." she smiled slightly, "are you sure you don't want to talk about it?"
Alice's eyes sparkled as she chuckled slightly, " Well...I DID just get her to consent in letting me plan the wedding...so yah, I'm pretty excited...."

Carisile helped Bella into a chair, and then looked at Edward for a moment or two, silently asking what Bella was talking about.
Aubry laughed.
"so, what do you have planned for her so far?" she asked.
