Blueblerry -- Hmm.. You do need animals. I don't mind eating an animal just as I know every single part of it is put to use. Animal cruelty is what I can't stand. A guy killed a chicken right in front of me one time for no reason. Hit him in the gut forty-seven [counted] times with a metal baseball bat. x 3x I love you. I generally don't condone violence and I'm not one of those stereotypical vegans who are so cynical towards humans, but anyone who could just kill an innocent animal for no reason either has some kind of psychological problem [documented scientific fact, like how serial killers are likely to have killed or tortured animals as young adults] or, you know, just has no soul [subjective idea]. But I don't think that, in perspective, a couple dozen hits to the gut is unfair punishment for something that despicable. Go, you dastardly vigilante, you!

Electric Magic I tried going vegan, but I ended up being hungry all the time and I failed at it. I just love meat too much. Not beef so much (except for tacos c: ), I could live off chicken and fish. You weren't doing it right.

`Tahirah Lady Dionish `Tahirah I loves ma meat. The meat on the shelf... it's dead anyway, so why let it go to waste? Wouldn't that animal have died in vein if the people it was intended to feed didn't eat it? If more people became vegetarian, the meat companies wouldn't feel the need to supply supermarkets with so much meat, so I don't believe they died in vain. I do, however, believe animals have died in vain if a vegetarian will not eat a meal with meat in it prepared for them if the vegetarian did not inform the cook that day that he/she is a vegetarian.
btw, I was a three-year vegetarian, but quit for conveniency and cost issues with my parents. 3nodding How hopelessly ignorant... There will never be that many vegetarians to sway meat providers like that. Ever. Unless some freak accident happened that caused meat to become the bane of human existence... Humans are gluttons, plain and simple. We produce so much more than we consume and it will continue to be that way for the rest of our lives and that of future generations. That's not true. I read recently that due to the massively increasing number of people going vegan, vegetarian, and 'flexitarian', demand for meat is increasing at a dramatically slower rate than predicted. It's still going up worldwide of course as developing countries gain wealth and increased access to meat, but there is consistent proof that every single individual, as part of the larger group of people who chose to eschew meat in whatever amounts for whatever reasons, ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE EVERY SINGLE DAY.

I have major love for vegetarians and vegans. Alas, I love me some meat. D:
I don't eat pig. I have my reasons but going into it get turn into a mass of word vomitishness. Organic stuff is the best thing ever, but I don't do the shopping and it's so expensive. Urgh. D< Why must death come by an innocent apple, yet again?!
For all you meat eaters: If you're concerned about the animal you're eating having been tortured, consider buying kosher or halal meat. Might be hard to find if you don't live in an area with a large Jewish or Arabic population though. D:

Ahahahaha, Bella....I love that movie. xD
"That's okay. I make lamb."
Another tip to meat-eaters: If buying kosher meat is hard, try to find your local Co-op for meat.
