"I suppose. I wouldn't mind traveling with a bunch of trainers... but finding the right trainers... that's the hard part." Laim smirked, shaking his head at his own attitude, "I'm not a very passive healer."
Liam let his blue eyes settle on Ridley once more, noting the subject change without letting it affect his expression. Instead, he shifted forward in his seat, resting his elbows on the table.
"I guess you could say that..." Liam replied, deliberately using the words Ridley had not a few moments before. "If you're to be living alone here, I suppose you'll get to know the feeling soon enough."

Ridley grinned. "Some people like feisty healers," he assured him, resisting the urge to wink.
If Ridley noticed Liam's mocking him, he didn't say anything about it, and simply shrugged. "Well, I hope I'm not to be staying in Katarina for too long. I'm going to get a Pokemon and hopefully be able to go out and look around for a while. But while I'm here, I wouldn't mind keeping you company," he smiled not at all innocently.
The waitress chose that moment to bring them their food and Ridley tucked in immediately, as if someone was bound to take it away from him.

Liam smirked. "Oh? Well, if you know of any..." he let the sentance die on his lips, letting Ridley continue with his story, occationally taking a sip of his strawberry soda.
"I would love your company, I'm sure." He smirked, the smile fading on his lips as he continued to speak, "I'm not surprised you'd want to leave soon after. As wonderful as this city is..." he paused, glancing out the window. The click of their plates hitting the table and the sound of Ridley inhaling his food brought his eyes back to his conversationalist, and Liam watched, raising his eyebrows for the hundredth time at the black haired boy.
"If you continue eating like that you're going to be sick, and I'm not as good at healing people as I am pokemon."

"Buff Ah'm hungee!" Ridley complained around a mouthful of food, swallowing it with a gulp of water. Swallowing it, he took a sip of water and nibbled on a fry.
"Nourishment, I need nourishment. Anyway, you should really consider it. I actually have somewhere I need to be in a bit," he paused to bite another massive chunk out of his hamburger and chew it, "but I'd really like it if someone could show me around the city a bit tomorrow or the next day. Think you would mind?" Ridley asked hopefully.

Liam resisted the urge to hit Ridley in the stomach, a trick he learned worked especially well when Ponytas and Rapidashs tended to eat too much. Instead, he just watched, his own burger untouched.
Blinking, Liam, tilted his head, confused. "Consider...?" he started, and blinked again when Ridley asked him to show him around the city. "Sure. I gotcha. If you can find the pokemart again, you know where my apartment is. Just knock on the door when you're ready."

Ridley nodded gratefully. "Uh... you haven't eaten anything yet," he blinked. "Sorry, did I put you off your appetite?" he asked, grinning, as he started in on his fries, burger completely demolished.

Liam scoffed at Ridley's question, flicking his hair out of his eyes again. "As if anything you did could fluster me." he replied a bit arrogantly, his eyes sparkling with the tease. "My room could eat you alive."
Oh it was tempting. But Liam refrained from saying anything more, taking a few bites from his hamburger before placing it back down. He'd give the rest to Eli when he got back.

Ridley laughed, his pace definitely slowing down. He didn't want to leave yet, he realized. It was nice talking and laughing with Liam.
"What's wrong then, trying to lose weight? I thought you were hungry," he teased right back, sipping his water.

"How girly do you think I am?!" Liam exclaimed as if hurt, reaching over the table to take a playful swing at Ridley. "I've had my share of fights, don't think I couldn't take you too."

Liam smirked back. "Good, you need to be thrown around a bit. Wise-guy." he replied, folding his arms across his chest.

Ridley tossed a fry up in the air and caught it between his lips, sucking it into his mouth. "And you're going to throw me around?" he rolled his eyes, taunting him as he chewed his french fry.

"And you're going to stop me?" Liam replied, looking Ridley up and down, clearly skeptical. "You can't be much older than me, and certainly not much taller."
Smirking, Liam leaned back against the seat, his eyes still lingering on Ridley.

Ridley finished off the last of his french fries and grinned. "Well if you never eat then I've definitely got some weight on you. I bet I could throw you easy," he winked. "Are you done, by the way? I'm probably late."

"Oh, I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Maybe if you stick around long enough I'll show you." He answered back mischeviously. Grabbing a box for the rest of his hamburger, Liam got up, nodding. "Yeah. I'll give this to Liza when I get back. He'll probably make a face at it and wolf it down about as fast as you did."
