Guyy wouldn't let her escape so easy, as he bent to plant a quick kiss on that growing bump teasingly. She might try and hide it from the others, but he'd always know. Even if she wasn't showing, he could still sense it. Something that was always oddly reassuring and caused him to smile to himself in quiet moments. Though it had taken a while to get used to feeling two heartbeats from his beloved.

His eyes danced with amusement at her small smile. He gave her a little squeeze where their arms connected and laughed softly as they made their way into the corridor.
"I think I am the one dreaming Milady, and I have no intention of waking either of us up." he smiled softly. His senses caught two bodies in the hallway before he saw them. He had to quickly hide a smirk. It seemed you could catch Raven unaware after all. He put his best serious face on as Kaori called out to them, glancing to Jack and giving him a sly twinkling look that made the redhead blush.

Jack could feel his heart beat hard for a moment before Raven pulled away and he awkwardly jumped to his feet, followed by the blond. He was quite right, he didn't need his help. He looked up at him with wide emerald eyes, searching for something telling in Raven's expression. He turned his head as he heard a familiar female voice call out.

Kaori and Guyy were approaching, arm in arm. She did look lovely and Guyy looked... well. Even half naked he managed to be a bit scruffy. All the same he was a welcome and enjoyable sight to see. Jack gave a little sigh as he seemed to have been forgotten already by the blond. he cracked a cheerful smile at Guyy, who gave him that look that suggested he knew far more than most people. No doubt he had been able to sense the pair of them before they had been in sight. He blushed deeply and ducked his head.

"Well then, seeing as we're all here..." he turned his red eyes on Raven almost distastefully for just a moment. "How about we all head down to the kitchen for breakfast. I believe we are not the first." He gave them all a charming smile. After all this was a holiday for them and he was going to do his best not to let a little personal issues interrupt it for any of them. Kaori in particular deserved a little peace, and he suspected Raven would agree to quietly disagree while she was around.

Grumbling under her breath Amelie struggled with the blankets that she had managed to get herself tangled up in while she slept. Sure she was normally perky, or at the least she was pleasant. But after volunteering her services to help move everyone's luggage into the villa and a bought of fitful sleeping she wasn't at her best. She knew voices had woken her, which meant that it was morning for the rest of the world.

Groaning unhappily she rolled out of bed, letting her feet hit the ground first. Taking light steps she moved to her bag and began to dig through it as she listened to the voices out in the hallway. Maybe she'd get a nap in when they went down to the beach. She hadn't minded staying at the library, the cold and the wet suited her. But she did like the idea of going someplace else for a little while. She could use the sun, she was starting to get a little pale.

Pulling on a pair of jeans she moved for the door. She could change out of her baddy sleeping shirt after breakfast. Letting out a yawn she ducked her head out, her dark hair a tangle around her bronze cirlet and bags under her brright green eyes.

"Did someone say food?"

"Iiiiiliaaaa! Let's goooo to the beeeaach!" Parvati sang as she washed her hands in the sink. She was bouncing with excitement already and for every second that passed while she was in the kitchen only added to her enthusiasm. She was about ready to explode.

Aya quietly ate her potion of breakfast, listening to the conversation with one ear. There was absolutely no way she was going out into the water. With the direct heat of the sun, it would be dangerous for her to do so unless she had someone to watch out for her. She didn't doubt that everyone would make certain that none of them drowned (assuming that some of them couldn't swim), she just didn't want to tempt fate. She would swim maybe later on in the night...when she was certain that no one would be around to see her get wet. She didn't particularly like revealing more skin than she had to.

The cubs had finished eating and Cloudchaser worked to round them all up carefully. They tussled and rumbled with excitement around his feet as he sighed patiently. It didn't take them long to join in the very same chorus Parvarti began. They were just as eager to get to the beach and swim as she was. Even Farclimber, still having difficulty with speaking, was tugging urgently on poor Cloudchaser's tail with his sharp cub teeth. The eldest gave her an imploring and hopeful look.

Ilia giggled softly at her friend and the young cubs bouncing around. It was impossible to guess who had the most energy out of the lot. She rolled her eyes and shrugged over-dramatically.
"Well... I guess we could go. I should probably wait for Daddy and Mama, but I don't think they'll mind." she grinned, drawing it out just to tease them a little. She wandered over to the pantry and dragged out a cool box, shouldering it as easily as if it were no more than a pack of sandwiches, though it contained enough various drinks to suit the youngest clan members for a very long time. A small hamper she pulled under one arm contained snacks. Finally she threw a large beachtowel over one shoulder.

"Lady Aya, I have left a large beach parasol beside the little outbuilding by the gate. I figured you might like it." she grinned, wading into the pool of cubs and waiting patiently for them to organise themselves. "Come on Parvarti! Let's get a good spot!" she grinned, stumbling towards the door with the cubs and Cloudchaser in tow and waiting for her friend to catch up as she paused to look back into the kitchen cheerfully. The beach was visible from the gate and it would take just a couple of minutes to walk there.

"Did someone say food?" was the last comment Kaori heard and she turned to see a rather sleepy looking young woman. "I believe it was mentioned.. yes indeed. Breakfast is served in the kitchen." From the corner of her eye she noticed the look on Raven's face, carefully cheerful.

"Oi.. what- oh.." she smirked and rolled her eyes to the ceiling. So they were finally playing nice now were they? She hoped it would last, the uneasy truce, she knew they were doing it for her and she leaned up to give her lord a kiss on the cheek. "Thank-you.. Milord." she smiled sweetly and turned to Raven thanking him as well.

As soon as that was said, the blond nodded, turned and headed down the hallway as his easy going pace, "Common Jack! Let's get some before it's all gone." he winked playfully back at the red head. Kaori just shook her head and turned to the girl once more, "Care to join us for breakfast?"

Guyy turned and looked back at Amelie with a grin and a wave. It looked like she had been woken by the noise in the hallway. She was still in her sleeping clothes and he had to guess she had just dragged herself out of the comforts of her bed.
"Morning!" he greeted far too cheerfully. "We're just heading down there now if you want to tag along too."

He turned his rubies down on Kaori as he unexpectedly (but not unwelcomingly) received a kiss on his cheek. A small reward for the effort he was putting in not to kill Raven. Promises were promises after all, and he was doing his best to keep every shred of possible stress away from his beloved for the time being. "Oh. My pleasure." he murmured softly into her ear.

Jack blinked between them all. It was a delight to see them almost being civil with one another. He still held out hopes, in his optimistic way, that one day they would all be the best of friends and one big family. Perhaps, he thought wryly, they were already too much like a real family. Real families fought after all.

He turned to look at the girl, giving her a bashful wave of greeting as she stuck her head around the door. But his attention was called for as Raven began loping down the hall at his own pace. He stumbled and caught up with him, matching his easy gait and keeping at his heel as though he were a human puppy. He was still a little bit miffed at the way Raven seemed to casually dismiss Jack when company was around, but he'd address that some other time. For now he had good company and a chance to eat!

For a moment she'd thought she'd been walking out into the dorms that the de la Croixs had. It certainly felt like it when they had been moving in the night before. Long halls and many rooms with people pairing off to either share a bed or share a room. Maybe that was what had triggered her nightmares. But glancing at the group in the hall she realized that this was definitely not the old dorms.

Ducking her head in embarrassment she tried to work some of the tangles out of her hair with a hand. She lothed to make a bad first impression on people and Master Guyy was the only one she recognized in the group. She also felt like she was interupting, not used to seeing so much affection this early.

"Good morning." She smiled sheepishly at the pair. "Breakfast sounds great."

Guyy nodded at Amelie, giving her a reassuring smile. This trip would be a good opportunity for them all to get to know one another. he understood her bashfulness but at the same time grinned charmingly to let her know she needn't worry too much about being on show here. They were family, and family saw one another both at their best and at their worst. And first thing in the morning before really waking up too.

"Well, in that case I would be honoured to have your company at the breakfast table. The clan does put on some great breakfasts." he chuckled, thinking to the many times he'd had pancakes and waffles and fruit and bacon and eggs...

The thoughts made his stomach rumble quite audibly. "Ahem. Well, yes. Come with us if you are unsure as to where to go. After that we'll be heading off to check out the beach. It's quite private here, we probably won't see another soul the whole time we're here unless you want to drive out to the town to see the local sights." he smiled.

While Kaori quietly lingered with Guyy and Amelie, Raven was glad that Jack had followed him instead of staying behind. The blond just couldn't stand Guyy that well and the least amount of time he spent in the clan leader's presence, the easier it would be to keep his promise to Kaori to keep things under wraps between the two of them while they were at the beach.

..Although.. when he took a sidelong glance at the red walking next to him, he knew instantly Jack wasn't quite happy with him. Whatever it was... he wasn't about to open a can of worms right now... the kitchen wasn't far, he could already smell breakfast, only another few paces...

There it was, kids everywhere half quiet while chowing down on their food, cubs running rampant and surrounded by them all was Aya... the best chef he'd come across... and one of the most deadly.

"Mornin'!" he waved cheerfully at them all, "Mm, the sweet aroma lingers, but there's no breakfast in sight! Don't tell me - we're already too late?" he questioned almost playfully already well into the midst of the kitchen itself looking at the stove from the corner of his eye wondering just how possessive of it the chef was and if he'd be invited to help himself momentarily.

Jack glanced back as the group in the hallway fell out of view. It was one way to prevent arguments, but he didn't want to spend the whole holiday avoiding Guyy. He'd have to make time for drinks later at the very least. He considered the possibility that getting them all together with a little alcohol might relax Guyy and Raven suitably in one another's company they might even start having fun, but part of him suspected it was more likely to cause a fight.

He sighed, breaking the silence between them, but didn't speak until the entered the kitchen. Raven too was staying silent in an almost uncomfortable way. The sight of the kids and cubs caused him to smile warmly. He did enjoy seeing them. He would steal the cubs and keep them if he could, they were so cute! But he doubted that a club was the best place to raise any kind of youngster. His eyes flashed to Raven for a second. He suspected that the blond had been raised there himself and he hadn't turned out too badly...

Nah. Their parents would come looking for them. At least when they were visiting he could steal chances to hug them and play with them to his heart's content.

Breakfast smelled very good. Jack lingered by the table a little awkwardly. Raven's sudden change of mood was welcome too, he much preferred to see him in a semi playful mood like that. Though he was still somewhat miffed. Breakfast was not a time to bring it up though.

Parvati squealed in delight as she saw her friends moving out the door. She quickly embraced her mother, who was currently carrying the dirty dishes to the sink and had been thanking Ilia for her thoughtfulness, before she ran to Ilia's side and ruffled the android's hair playfully. She managed to say good morning to Black Bird (Raven) and Mr. Pretty (Jack) before she went flying out of the kitchen and into the open.

"Race you all to the beach!" she happily yelled. Of course, she already had a head start but she knew that everyone else was a lot faster than her so it was fair in a way.

"Good morning Raven, Jack," Aya said as she placed the dishes on the sink (she'd wash them later), relieved that she hadn't dropped anything because Parvati had chosen the wrong moment to embrace her. She moved in front of the stove, determined to not let anyone else cook while she was there. Ilia had beaten her to it earlier. It wasn't going to happen twice.

"You are not late at all. Is there any particular dish you two would like for breakfast?" she asked, making a clear point that she would be cooking for them whether they liked it or not.

Jack giggled softly as Parvarti embraced her mother and ran out the door, issuing a challenge to the other youngsters. That was very cute! It cheered him up a little. He caught Aya's sneaky move in front of the stove as well, clearly stopping Raven from helping himself. He didn't mind, Aya was a great cook.

He tilted his head thoughtfully, twirling his hair around his finger and swinging his feet a bit. His green eyes flickered to Raven and for a moment he looked completely lost in thought. He snapped back to Aya suddenly and grinned.
"Is there any chance of an omelette?" he asked sweetly.

Ilia grinned and waved at Uncle Jack and Mister Raven. Before she had a chance to greet them Parvarti pushed by her and started running for the beach. The cubs took up the cue immediately, jogging along behind her. Cloudchaser calmly took up the rear, keeping an eye on them and shooing the slowest (little Farclimber) along ahead of him. He wouldn't be able to blink to the beach, having not seen it yet.
"Oh! You cheat!" she pouted, speeding to catch up with them.

Raven smirked and dipped his head respectfully as Aya took over the stove protectively and offered them their choice of dish, he flickered his gaze to Jack wondering what he'd be having and that question was quickly answered.
"Milady if it so pleases you and spurs your creativity.... I'd quite like it if you'd surprise me with whatever you wish to serve."

With that said he caught the sounds of the children already heading out to play on the beach, he returned Ilia's wave cheerfully and casually before she too ran off after the others, giving him cause enough to chuckle at the excited group. "May I have a coffee to start with?" he questioned taking up the paper and once pulling a chair for Jack and seating himself, he flipped through casually. He really was one for the news... well halfheartedly it seemed.

Meanwhile Kaori was starving and happy they were about to embark down the hall to the kitchen, she caught up Guyy's hand in her own and followed along with Amelie in tow. Her free hand went to her midriff absently, it wasn't just her hunger for the action, but her stomach growled all the same. As they made their way along she dove internally yet again to make sure everything was alright with her baby. The pregnancy had progressed quickly and perfectly, there hadn't been any glitches and she knew better than any ultrasound could have shown her.
It wouldn't be long at all now before she would give birth, it was strange in a way.. she had never thought she'd ever have a child of her own.. and here.. it was real.

Nearly the last thing she wanted was to alarm everyone when it was happening, she thought she just might crawl off somewhere privately and show up with her son cleaned up and swaddled in her arms. Several scenario's had played over and over in her mind but at the same time she also knew she was extremely lucky. Having counted the days down she knew she'd be in her half-demon self while giving birth, meaning the birth would be quick and relatively painless. Two blessings and she was likely the only woman in the world so fortunate.

When she finally came from her reverie she had finally arrived in the kitchen and Raven having the easiest seat to get into, offered it to Kaori instead and moved around to Jack's other side. Did he know or was he just being himself? Maybe that look on her features had given her away, she sweat dropped and smiled sheepishly. "Morning Everyone!" she greeted cheerfully taking to her warmed seat carefully. "So what's the paper have to say today?"

"Uhm.. not a whole lot. The stores have new items, there's an evolving item update, something about new games being released.. comics are half decent today and the horoscopes look as though the guy that regularly writes them is on holidays or something." Raven chuckled in reply as he thumbed the last few pages. "There's a bit in there about Gaia's orphanages surviving but that's about as far as it goes. Mm.. otherwise there's the regular brawls breaking out, thefts, police goose chases and what not. Looks like sports are becoming a big hit now as well, now that the Rejected Olympics are over. That's it." he finished thumbing the paper through and handed it to whomever else wanted a look at it.

Having finished eating, Carys was in the process of standing up to head out to the beach with Ilia, the cubs and Aya’s daughter when the group of adults finally made their way into the kitchen. After a moment’s indecision, instead of heading down to the beach, she grabbed a cup of coffee and returned to the table, with a “Good Morning” to everyone. She sat back and enjoyed the flow of conversation around her.

"Understood," Aya nodded and began making breakfast. She heard Kaori enter shortly and thought of a much more healthy menu.

"Good morning Kaori," the priestess returned the greeting and began chopping some vegetables, "breakfast will be ready in a moment. Do you have any specific requests?"

Once the greens were appropriately cut, she set about hunting for some eggs. When she got back to the stove, however, she was holding several other items that were clearly going to be a part of today's breakfast. It was going to be a big one, that much anyone would be able to tell.

"Oh! You cheat!"

Parvati laughed and tried her best to keep her advantage but she knew that the others were catching up quickly behind her. Her legs were just too short to offer any real speed. She blamed it all on her mother's genes. Oh well. You win some, you lose some. Besides, she didn't really want to become as tall as her father.
