((FRIGGIN' WHAT. This profile is for Tuefel. WHO IS LONELY. AND NEEDS. SOME COMPANY.

Though, granted... I can't tell you how much your character will actually like this company. XD; ))

Name: Regina Montoya

Race: SHE'S HISPANIC.

Gender:... I just said she, didn't I?

Age: 19... she's hittin' those good old golden years.

Appearance: Regina is originally from Spain, so she naturally has olive coloured skin and that also means dark hair (which is stylishly wavy and lavish with sheen and shine... she's very proud of those dark locks!) and should mean dark eyes... but they are lighter. Instead of looking rather black they tend to look more hazel. Anyway. Mostly, she is very proud of her hair. She likes to braid it and do all sorts of fancy English styles with it... because she scoffs at those that have to use wigs. SHE HAS HER OWN.

She mostly wears it down.

To say more about her appearance? She's pretty if you like those sort of girls with high cheek bones and a mean streak in their eyes. Mostly... she's more arresting than pretty. She has a sort of stare that can convince you otherwise of a choice that you might have not thought of as a good idea. She has a pretty mouth, but it's mostly frowning or yelling at you and she has two high arching brows that she is fond of quirking... she'll tell you quite often she looks quite a bit like her father and there are some masculine features in her face that she made lovely somehow... she also has a loud voice like a man. She is NOT soft spoken.

... Oh. She likes wearing gold. Gold earrings, bracelets, and necklaces... and she ALWAYS wears dresses. No ifs, ands, or buts. She likes dresses and finds them quite nice.

LASTLY. She is curvaceous. She hates it. She thinks it makes her look fat compared to all those thin and high strung Englanders. She has a vast chest and wide hips. Her waist is only small if she squeezes it into a girdle. She doesn't like too... she likes more to complain that she is too fat.

Personality: Fiery, out going, slightly high strung and prissy, but domineering and unafraid of anything. She's quicker to be sarcastic and cynical than kind or optimistic in most situations... she's blunt and mostly unkind to those she doesn't like. Those who she does not like she let's them know QUITE often and cares very little if anyone likes her.

Why should she care? She's only gone through life only saying what she thought honestly and truly. It's not like she's lying to people when she says certain unkind things.

A little history: Her father has been unable to get her to marry. She's too head strong and "free spirited" as he put it. Most people put it a little less lightly and call her a few less kinder and more four lettered kind of words. Oh yes...

So... he sent her to this New World... somewhat at her OWN bidding and slightly for his own sake. She's kind of too old to marry now and has rather lost hope in her.

Also, she comes from a very wealthy family, so he isn't TOO upset she didn't marry (he also has a few more daughters to go through), though he would have liked to gain more wealth if she HAD happened to find a suitable young man.

Anyway. That's... all for Regina. She'll be a trip.

((ALL RIGHT. A POST FOR REGINA... Then I am so doing my homework XD;; ))

Regina, when she took her first step onto land, frowned at the line of trees surrounding the shore. She wobbled a little in one of her high heeled boots, a very fashionable thing to wear in England in these times. Her dress too was of the British fashion. She looked foreign to the long ruffles and high collar, but even in her obviously hispanic face she managed to convince people of a high class woman with a haughty tilt to her mouth. She was also, compared to the others, intensely well groomed and impossibly neat. Her clothes were without wrinkles and her hair was clean and brushed.... she had worked very hard to keep herself this way.

She shuffled impossibly steady amongst the stones of the shore in her heeled boots.

"Where's EDWARD?" She demanded with a slight accent that she worked hard at trying to lose (though there was an obvious roll to all of her r's). A few men were blundering around the shore, pretending not to notice her. Regina noticed them pretending not to notice her and became more persistent. They hated her when she became more persistent. She trudged up to one of the scruffy men and stuck her long nose close to his.

"Hey." She said. "Where's Edward?" And she muttered something foul in Spanish. No one ever understood her when she did that.

The man sneered at her and might have opened his mouth to tell her off and to get her a** back on the ship, but a certain dangerous look in her eyes that only some women know the trick to made the man shut his mouth quite tightly. He paused and then with a more polite tone than he would have used said: "The prisoner 'scaped. He went out lookin' for 'im." He slurred and glanced elsewhere. Somewhere in his thoughts he was cursing out spoken women.

Regina frowned at him for a moment, but then satisfied she hiked up her dress and marched up the shore. "Wait for me Edward! I'll be damned if I'm not coming with you!" And she vanished into the wood along with him.

The men should have stopped her... should have insisted that she stayed... but somehow they were convinced that such a mean snake of a woman could not be harmed, not even by the most vicious of beasts, in this unknown land.

Regina only managed to catch up to Edward by chasing after the tail of his coat. When she did manage to catch up to him she was breathless, red faced, and her hair was full of twigs and leaves. She looked very disgruntled and angry.

"Why didn't you WAIT?" Regina asked of him in her loud voice. "It's not easy walking in THESE, you know." She said of her boots and with one of her hands tugged hard at the plunging neckline of her dress that was slowly revealing more and more of her vast chestal region.... and in this moment caught a rock along a small creek and landed with a pitiful splash and a yelp of frustration.

((... AND HOPEFULLY THIS WILL GIVE YOU COMPANY... And maybe it will give Edward some character development.. her too...!))

((ALRIGHTY! A post for Archer! biggrin And then fer serious. I'm doing some major homework. <3))

It was hard to talk to the strange woman, not only because of her airy sort of way of being, as if she wasn't quite all on this plane of existence, but because Akiak had taken to the trees. He was moving around in them like the strange apes he'd seen at a zoo, and quite frankly, it was captivating. Never had Archer thought he'd want to do something like that, but Akiak made him want to shimmy up the nearest tree and do the same.

At least the man knew he was NOT capable of that, and so didn't actually try. He'd rather be able to walk on two unbroken legs after all.

The man jumped when suddenly Akiak was on his back, on the ground, but settled down when he realized the younger man wasn't hurt. Basil, however, scurried down around Archer's arm, down his tattered pant leg, and hopped onto Akiak's chest, where he took a place on the darker man's shoulder for a few moments. The small animal scurried around the back of his neck and in his hair, seemingly quite intrigued at the forest of black. He poked his head out of Akiak's long locks on his opposite shoulder before giving a little squeak.

Archer was busy worrying about the indian's cackle. "Yep. Just as white all around." He gave an unsure laugh.

And was then dragged into the village, and was suddenly surrounded. Sensing his companion's sudden worry, Basil gave Akiak a little n** on the end of his ear before scurrying down the man's arm, hopping to the ground, and making his way back to his friend.

From there, things were a bit of a blur. Little kids showed up and were bouncing and chatting around him in a language he couldn't understand. Others watched him from afar, either wary, or quietly curious.

He didn't want to tell stories.

Suddenly, this whole dinner thing didn't really seem all that exciting. He was feeling overwhelmed, and that didn't help the fact he was half-starved and exhausted from the trip and subsequent escape. The man tugged at his beard and looked over towards Akiak, hoping he'd be able to help. Their nonsense (at least to him) chatter was giving him a bad headache, and he felt he should cling to the one who could at least understand him.

Letting himself be ushered towards the large fire, he stood awkwardly in its light and gave a crooked sort of smile. As long as they didn't spear him, he'd be alright... Just... No spears...

Basil sniffed at the air curiously.

((D< I wrote a big ol' post and then my internet was like "LOL NOPE 8D" and now I gotta do it all over at school al;sdkhfl;kasdjfexcuses.

And yay Aka for making Ned a 'friend'! *luff*))

Edward was balanced in a precarious state of mind, perched right between being thrilled, and the overwhelming urge to punch something very hard.

The nature here was gorgeous, yes. Green, pristine, untouched and brimming with potential, mysterious and new. But that didn't change the fact that trekking though it was a searing pain in the a**. The thick, luscious branches that dappled the ground in golden sunlight slapped and snagged his coat, the brush grew high and unabashed, displaying all their natural glory while hiding away the gnarled roots that hoped to twist Ned's ankle.

As he started to reach the conclusion that tracking some little b*****d of a stowaway would be near impossible while he was paying more attention to pushing away foliage, something ungainly and obnoxious started making a bigger ruckus behind him. Ned gave a sigh as a call rang out, and he turned to Miss Regina, wearing a pained grin. "Madam Montoya, I did not wait because you should not be coming along. This land is no place for a woman; you must return to the docks, Madam." Though, for all her powdered cheeks and gorgeous dress, Miss Regina had quite failed playing the part of a 'lady' in any category but appearance. There was something quite disturbing in the notion of a woman who seemed to enjoy yelling and arguing more than needlework, as far as Ned was concerned. No wonder her father had sent her away. Regardless, she was a high-class woman, and thus one he had to care for. But despite that, it was very hard not to smirk at her increasingly dissheveled state.

The urge to grin vanished as she performed a spectacular fall into a stream, and startled yell escaped Edward's throat. "M-madam!" He rushed over, kneeling to help her up. "Madam, are you all right? You see you should not have come, it is far too unruly here, for one such as yourself." He winced and looked around. "Ah... I'll escort you back to the docks, and--"

He paused as he caught sight of tracks in the mud beside the stream. Ned was no tracker, he couldn't tell a deer path from a rabbit hole, but it didn't take a trained eye to recognize prints like those. Human tracks, barefoot. And those, they were soft, shallow, but most definitely... "Wolf," he rasped. A cold feeling ran down his spine. Untrained beasts, dangerous, savage creatures. "Madam Montoya, we must leave immediately."

((HOOOSHITTE. YAY POSTS... This will be fun ... ooohoooho yes. ))

Akiak found himself pleased by the Shawnee. He always liked to visit them when he had the time. Though, he found himself rather left out, and then quickly bored by the whole ordeal of being led around by the new mysterious stranger Neshoba.

Basil seemed to feel a little left out too and kept him company briefly. Akiak laughed. "Is it dark under there? Don't get lost, brave explorer. Wouldn't Archer miss you?" He wanted to know as he vanished into his hair and passed him off with his fingers as he returned to Archer once again.

When they were in front of the fire Akiak titled his head respectfully as he could and finding he didn't really hold their attention long he grinned and crouched a little to explore elsewhere. However, Archer threw him a look. Akiak paused mid-creep and stared back at him. His shoulders slumped a little. He looked away briefly to the rest of the village and felt the wind stir his spirit, but he sighed and shook his head.

The young man ran a hand through his dark hair and turned on a heel. "Elders!" He said gallantly as he could with a wave of his arm. He could speak the Shawnee language perfectly. It was one of his favorites. There was something very elegant about it, more flowing and rich than the other languages.

He slung an arm around Archer's shoulder and pressed him forward. "This is my companion from across the sea... We're sort of... well, I'm sort of, you'd call... his representative? My names Akiak. Anything you want to say to him will have to go through me. He's a very popular guy, you see... but doesn't speak a lick of anything decent." He flashed them a white toothed smile that could have rivaled sly Fox.

"And he's really glad to meet you..." He nodded at Archer encouragingly and turned back to the elders, ",but he's tired. You know how it is... coming across the sea from far away distant lands from beyond. As his representative I feel it is best if we go ahead and find this white man a place to sit and give him something to eat! They'll be plenty of time to ask questions then, am I right?"

Akiak grinned the Fox's grin and patted Archer firmly on the back.

((... hahahaha, I wasn't too sure what to write... but there it is XDD. TO REGINA... LOLZ. Edward cracks me uppp XDDD... your characters always do, though... haaa.))

Regina was very damp when she pulled herself upright from the little brook. Her dress was soaked around her skirt and sleeves, and her powdered face was now much darker than she wanted it to be. She sulked in a curtain of damp hair, arms held out away from her as they dripped.

She said something then that should have come out of a sailor's mouth.

When Edward began to put on that polite British gentleman act she waved her hands at him. "Don't make such a fuss!" She scolded, but let herself be helped up. She shook out her skirts and attempted to smooth out her ruffled appearance. It didn't help. She frowned and then gave Edward such a look.

"NONSENSE. You will do NO SUCH THING. I'm staying right in these disgusting woods with you." She huffed and squeezed the damp out of the ends of her hair with her little fingers.

Though, in the midst of her froofing she raised an eyebrow at his remark about wolves. She furrowed her brows at him in a rather unkind way and looked at what he was looking at.

"A wolf? A SINGLE wolf? Man, you must be joking! What a coward. It's ONE wolf. The only times they're dangerous and otherwise rabid is when they're together." Regina rolled her hazel eyes and flicked her hair over her shoulder. She hiked up her skirt a little and crouched in the mud to get a closer look. "A footprint too?" She quirked her mouth and then without another word began to follow along in those footsteps.

"Let's follow them." She said breezily. "You're looking for that ugly man we had in the brigs, or whatever you call that place, am I right? Well, if you're any sort of REAL man you won't let him get away! Come along, Edward!"

((hahhahahah XD;; ))

Neshoba smiled slightly at Akiak as he spoke to the elders, well at least he knew Shawnee. Her green eyes looked around idly, as if looking for something that would never quite be visible. Wolf was off to the side watching her protectively, while allowing children to pull at his ears and tail. He pawed them away finally and came close to Neshoba's side. Giving a glance around she nodded quickly. "Yes, you should probably rest a bit...I know a nice..." She began but was soon interrupted

((haha since Neshoba is such a boring character...I want to bring in someone fun too. I didn't want to make Neshoba like...crazy...cause there's a reason she's pretty spacey and out of it.))

"HEY!" Came a rough voice, though strangely feminine. "Neshoba!" Through the smoke came a dark skinned woman, her cheeks dusted with white powder from cooking all day, and her fingers were dyed red with blood and green from smashed herbs. Her black hair was pulled back into a long thick braid, some strands falling near her face. She was slender and shorter than Neshoba, but still boarding average height. Her eyes were dark blue that seemed to lighten against the fire to a electric blue color.

As she reached the two men and the strange woman she leaned back, cracking her spine loudly and then grinning an awkward, toothy grin that flashed against her dark lips. "I thought you ran away! Don't scare me like that! Goodness..." She trailed off, her smoky chords stopping as her blue eyes came upon Akiak and Archer. "So pale!" She exclaimed, and blinked. "He does not see sun often? How awful! The moon is no place to bathe and try to tan! Silly man! The sun is the place for tanning and happiness." She waved a dirty hand at the setting sun and shook her head.

"Oh! And you...haven't I seen you before?" She leaned towards Akiak, pushing out her lips in thought. "Ahhhh...hmmmmm...I believe so." She gave him another of her wide grins and dusted off her deer skin dress. "I will remember soon...I forget things easily, but your face IS familiar my friend."

Neshoba finally smiled at her as if noticing she was there for the first time. "This is Wuyu, she's a good friend of mine." She said sweetly before looking around again and turning to the elders. "Wuyu, could you show them around?"

"Of course! Of course!" She said happily as Neshoba was already talking with the elders. Wuyu gave a sigh and shrug before patting both men roughly on the back and pointing to one of the large domes covered in bark. "Over here, I'm cooking stuff for tonight but you're welcome to try some of it and give me your HONEST HONEST opinion! I am trying to make my corn taste the BEST." She rubbed her stomach and began to push at the white man and the familiar faced one. "Go go, hurry before we get interrupted but the kids. Ummmm..." She looked strangely at Archer and began to make formations with her lips. "Faaawwwsssst." She said slowly, trying to make her English sound as best as she could which was possibly the worst sounding ever. "Yes? Good? AH I am so amazing with languages!" She gave a loud laugh and gave one more final push before jogging towards the earthen structure. "Fawster! Fawster! Fud! It fud!" Which to her was, faster faster, food, eat food.

((haha...Yup...I dunno how she's gonna be able to speak to Archer...but maybe we can find something.))

Edward cringed as she brushed aside his worries. This woman simply refused to listen to simple reason. He gave the tracks another wary glance, still fresh in the mud, before stifling a shudder.

"Madam, wolves are... you should not trifle with wild beasts, Madam. They aren't controled, they could..." He fumbled for the right words to describe the horror that untrained creatures could wreak. He knew perfectly well what hounds were capable of, and the idea of an unrestrained beast using that sort of strength made him feel ill. "I must insist that we return to where you will be safe from such... hazards."

But damn that woman, she paid no heed, she never did, what on earth was he supposed to do with her... "Madam Montoya," he blurted as she set off by herself, and rushed after. "Come now, this is folly!"

He bristled at her comment of manlihood. "A real man would not let a woman put herself in danger," he insisted, warning low in his voice. He finally caught up with his sodden ward, grasping her by the arm. "You fail to grasp the situation, Madam. It is simply not safe for you here. You must wait at the shore until the land is better explored. If one of the savages were to--"

He stopped, listening. There were noises somewhere near. He couldn't distinctly understand them, but they were definitely there; faint sounds of life, of laughter. He loosed his grip on Miss Regina and crept toward the sound, completely forgetting his scolding. Of course it was dangerous for her, yes, but if he went to look, there... there was no harm in catching a glimpse of the savages, for the sake of reporting back, was there?

((The only problem with Edward is that I made him basically the sort of person who will never move the plot anywhere. D= He's too busy being weirded to seem like anything but a scaredycat. NICE GOING TEUFEL DDD=<))

((Haha we love your characters anyway Teufel. <3))

"English is a fine language..." Archer muttered, but didn't seem too irked. At least now he had a translator. He watched the short exchange between Akiak and the Elders, offering a crooked smile and a bit of a wave. "Yeah, food sounds great... And some sleep... Oh, some REAL sleep..."

Neshoba had started to agree with the sleeping plans, but was interrupted by a rather loud call. The voice was quickly followed by the appearance of another woman, who was just as dark as Neshoba. Archer momentarily felt like he might have been glowing like a light.

When the woman started talking, he let that awkward smile creep back onto his face and idly held out his hands for Basil to crawl into. The rat did as his thoughts bid and scuttled down his arm into his cupped hands. The little animal's pawhands gripped the end of Archer's fingers as the rat curiously leaned forward to sniff at the air around this newcomer. Archer had no idea what she was saying, but she seemed excited, and friendly enough. "Whatchoo think, Bitty-Basil? Good? Bad?" The rat gave a short sneeze in reply.

Finally, Neshoba spoke up and Archer, thankfully, could understand her. "Wuyu?" He turned to said woman and offered a hand for her to shake, Basil gladly stepping over into his left hand.

However, Wuyu was quite excited about... Something... She was patting him on the back and chattering away, and he felt absolutely lost. He had a feeling she wanted him to go into that hut type place, and by rubbing her stomach.. maybe food?

And Fawst? Either she knew German literature, or... fawster? Oh. fast? "Um, Akiak... How does she know even that one English word?" He rubbed at his messy hair and sighed. Yeah, she was talking about food...

"Think you can do some more of that trade-thing so that I can understand these people? The chatter's giving me a headache..." He murmured as they made their way to the hut, and Basil once more took his perch on Archer's shoulder.

((OKAY! Break from the craziness time! I post now! WA HA!... I want this quarter to be over so badly. LAWLZ.))

Akiak grinned when seems thing to run a little more smoothly once more. He glanced at Archer and winked at him once as though he had just done a very sneaky thing, but returned to looking at Neshoba as she spoke... though she did not speak for long. Another woman presented herself through the smoke.

He titled his head a little when she remarked he was familiar. He squinted his eyes a little as though that might help him remember where he might have seen this young woman's face before, and any woman with blue eyes should not have been hard to remember, but then again Akiak was always moving around and when one was like the wind it was hard to remember a particular face.

He gave her a helpless shrug but a broad smile. He amused her. "The pale man likes to moon bathe." He said jokingly and nudged at Archer lightly. "He's like a spirit."

Akiak seemed excited by the idea of being shown around. He laughed as he was patted on the back and returned her the favor. "I'm the best at being honest! I'll tell you ABSOLUTELY what I think." He said with one of those easy smiles of his. His dark eyes flashing with laughter.

When Archer was speaking again Akiak shrugged his shoulders. "She's closer to the sea, perhaps she has met someone as pale as you before." He offered another shrug and a frown. "Pale man talk sounds like you have sticks in your mouth, anyway... and of course!"

When they arrived at the structure made of earth Akiak danced a few steps in front of Wuyu. "I'll make it easy for you." He slid a hand around one of her own and quickly as he had swiped something from Archer he had one of her bracelets in his palm. He quickly palmed it off to the pale man and in the same movement had a ring clasped tightly in his fingers. He placed that in the fingers of the hand of Wuyu that he still gripped. There was that familiar pulse of blue and stirring of magic that was either to strange or subtle for most to notice.

"Something of his for something of yours and there is understanding." He explained in his vague way and smiled. "He can understand you now, stranger whom I once knew." He laughed a little at his joke and danced off into the kitchen to look poke around. "It smells good!" he said from somewhere.

((AAAAND TO REGINA... HUZZAH!))

Regina looked very affronted when in the midst of her very fast trekking one of her her arms was gripped rather solidly. She shook out her skirts like a ruffled bird and turned to glower at Edward.

"Sir." She hissed between her teeth. "I don't know how the women in YOUR country are, but in Spain we can very well fend for ourselves!" Of course, she wasn't too sure of that, but the way she said it had sounded very convincing... and what did he know of Spanish women, anyway? Her mother could have wreslted a bear if she had wanted... probably.

She raised her head high. "I'm not afraid of any savage or of any wolf... Well... I'd... I'd..." She looked around in her temper, her damp tresses flying about her face. "I'd hit a wild beast on his snout with my BOOT!" Regina said viciously and offered up one of her high heeled boots to support this threat.

"No animal could survive that kind of punishment. It's enough just to walk in the damned things!"

But Edward wasn't listening.

She was used to men not listening... it was probably what made her so stubborn and high strung in the first place. Gripping her skirts once more she hiked them up a little and drifted after Edward.

"What is it?" She said lowly, for once having the mind to keep her over loud voice quiet as a whisper. She paused and tilted her head daintily. She heard the noises too. Her eyes widened a little.

"Is that...?" And without another word she drifted off into the brush, following the sounds of music and life.

In a few treacherous steps in her definitely not made for walking in the wilderness boots, she came to the edge of the wood that flowed into a clearing. She pressed her face into the leaves and her eyes nearly popped at what she saw.

Never in her whole wide life did she think she would see something like this.

((TA DAAH! And I almost lost this post... and I'm glaaad I didn't. I wouldn't have done this AGAIN XD; ))

Wuyu grinned at Akiak as he played along. "Maybe he should sun bathe a bit more. Much more healthier, yeah? I mean, white skin may blend with snow, but we don't get much of that here." She watched Archer curiously as he gave her a hand. Was he offering an invisible gift or something? She held out her own hand and nodded. "I used to play this as a kid. Imaginary games and stuff. We'd believe we were fox and eagles and had invisible wings and tails. Much fun running around the forest chasing mice and..." She stopped as she saw the rat and laughed. "NEVER RATS!"

Finally as they got to the small adobe like hut she breathed in deeply. "Good to find some honest men around here. I shove this at my brother's face and he simple says 'THAT'S GREAT WUYU NOW LEAVE ME ALONE!' and no matter how much I throw it into his mouth he says the same thing. You'd think he was afraid of me." She rolled her blue eyes and looked back at Akiak as he grabbed her hand.

"Let's not rush into marriage too soon okay?" She said with a wicked grin before he took one of her bracelets. "OR stealing...Manato may be a gracious mother but..." She trailed off again when he gave her the pale man's ring. "So sparkly." She muttered and examined it before placing it on her finger. "Oh...but so big. Maybe I can put it on my necklace." She smiled and starting to string it around her necklace. After putting it back on Akiak was already somewhere else saying things.

"Hey now! Wait there buddy!" She called and glanced at Archer. "Oh...come with me, quickly now, we can get you some food and new clothes...those are pretty...but not really...useful." She raised a brow highly before shaking her head and jogging to where Akiak was poking around.

"It does doesn't it? It's the corn really. We've got loads of corn around here. If you stay you'll start to get sick of it." As she spoke she grabbed two large cushion like pillows and placed them on the ground. "You two, sit. Your legs must be tired, they aren't strong like women legs you know. We use our legs so much, you'd be amazed." With a laugh she leaned over the fire, a large clay pot sitting atop it. Her hands began to grab some bowls and poured some thick soup into them. The soup smelled of herbs and spices. Inside was corn, tomatoes, and rabbit meat, along with other spices. "Here, eat it. It's very good for you. The rabbit makes you strong and fast and the vegetables make you clean. If ya know what I mean." She grinned and winked before handing them the bowls.

"Let me know if I should add anything more to it. Cause everyone else will be eating it. I don't want to be known as that stupid girl who can't cook rabbit soup. I'm already known as that stupid girl who can't walk over rocks without tripping and getting a bloody nose. Imagine saying THAT every time you see me. It gets old." After taking a deep breath she sat herself in front of the two men and watched them with eager eyes.

"My brother caught the rabbit himself. He was rather proud. He also helped catch some deer for tonight. But I got everything else. My mom used to say, 'men may hunt like warriors, but women gather like the gods. And Wuyu, gods are much more powerful than warriors.'" She spoke her mother's words in a heavily accented voice. All the while she was grinning at them and waiting for them to eat. "Too bad she isn't here to meet you. She'd have loved the fact the pale man is white. She used to believe the sun was below the moon, that the moon was more powerful, for it drew the waters closer to us, the sun does not. But you know what I say? I say the sun is WARM and BRIGHT. The moon? It makes me sad...for it is dark and lonely."

((Haha... I really... don't... feel like posting. D: Sorry in advance for a craptastic post.))

"I don't think it sounds like we have sticks in our mouths..." He trailed off though, when he was presented with a bracelet in place of his ring. Before Archer could realize that he'd done the same thing as with the cigarettes and necklace, Akiak was off in the hut, exclaming things smelled good. "O-okay..."

Quite suddenly, Wuyu's incomprehensable chatter turned into real words. And he was hit with them just as hard. "Yeah, sparkly..." He sort of hated losing all his things. Hopefully there wouldn't be too many more languages to 'learn....'

But new clothes and food sounded really, REALLY great. "uhh," Archer said intelligently as Wuyu's cascade of words kept coming. He politely closed his mouth and smiled and nodded, accepting gratefully the stew she was offering. He had the first bowl down in a matter of seconds, not caring that it was too hot for his mouth, or that Basil was trying and failing to snatch some food for himself. His second helping went much slower, and this time his poor pet was able to get his fill as well.

Archer leaned back happily as he got a third bowl, and finally was able to mention how it tasted. "This is FABULOUS, Wuyu! I don'tk now why anyoone would think it's bad... I'd eat this every day after what I had on that ship..." He wiggled his toes which were still stuffed into Akiak's moccassins. "You mentioned clothing?" He looked from Wuyu to Akiak, then to Basil. "Clothes would be good."

((Haha that is crap. I'm sorry. ;_; ))

As Edward crept closer to the sounds of life, a strange feeling grew in his spine. A nervous sort of tingling feeling. Something strange was here. Something unnatural.

Peering through the wood's edge, he could see it all; a whole villaige of the red-skinned people, dressed in the skins and teeth of dead animals, feathers and bones in their hair, paint on their face. Open fires, buildings of mud and clay and straw. Children ran about, screaming, near-naked--well, perhaps that was not so completely unlike what happened at home, but clearly it was a diffent here.

Ned's jaw fell slightly loose as he stared, overwhelmed by the sheer... sheer difference. And the noise, all the people chattering and babbling in that savage tongue. It was just what he'd heard, but so much more than he'd expected.

He watched a woman roast a rabbit--a whole rabbit!--on a spit, and people gathered around to eat. Bowls were handed out, and corn... Edward could smell it even here, and the pathetic, hard, wormy husk of bread he'd had the night before growled in envy in the pit of his stomach.

In a moment, he suddenly realized Madam Montoya was watching beside him, as much in awe. He'd nearly forgotten her... "We... we should go," he mumbled. "Let the ships know, that we've found them." He put a hand on her shoulder in case she felt the need to argue, but something caught his ear; just a whisp of sound, but there was no doubt.

Someone was speaking in English. His head whipped back to the scene; who could possibly be--there was no way-- oh that sorry son of a harlot.

There, in the group eating the rabbit, was the escaped stowaway, laughing and talking the Indians. A curse caught in Ned's throat. Well hell. What was he supposed to do? He didn't have any instructions for how to approach the savages yet, but that damned criminal was in there, giving the people the worst possible first impression of Europe. Of all the people...!

He balled a fist. "Madam Montoya, stay here." He would have liked to believe she would listen, and he hadn't the time to argue. With a strained breath, he charged out of the brush and into the clearing, eyes set on the stowaway. "Boy!" he thundered as he marched over. "Turn yourself in now, in the name of the Queen!" He tried to ignore the gapes of the startled Indians as best he could, but God's sake, it was awkward.

((... OKAY GO))

Akiak found himself very rudely removed from whatever curious thing he had been sniffing at. His fingers had been inches away from some sort of green powder, but it was then that he was shooed from the cooking space and deposited instead by the fire with a bowl of food. He would have been more grumpy about it if he hadn't been so grateful for the stew.

Though, before he started in on it he watched Archer with wild eyes and then burst out into his wild laugh. He grinned hugely. "He might look like a ghost but he sure doesn't EAT like one." He remarked as he finally started into his own meal at to which he said: "THE BEST! And these are the words of a very honest man!" Akiak reported of the meal.

Akiak then turned his dark eyes onto Wuyu, his head tilted to one side. Though, if he was going to say anything it was very much interrupted with what happened next.

"Edward!" Regina hissed in a scream whisper and made a few grabs for his sleeves. He was gone in a few purposeful strides. She fell back and scowled stubbornly. "MEN." She ground out of her pretty mouth her large eyes narrowed.
"Always busting in like they own the place... well..."

"EDWARD!" She shrilled after him and tromped out of the woods with her skirts gripped tightly in hand. She trotted in a dignified walk, her chin stuck out in a proud way. She walked amongst the savages like she would have walked amongst anyone else. She hardly paid any mind to their confused stares. She was next to Edward in a few moments, a hand at his elbow.

"Now is not the BEST time to put on a tough man act..." She whispered at him and then found herself caught in the stare of a very dark set of wild eyes. A white smile flashed in a dark face.

In an instant Akiak was in front of the pair smiling brightly as anything. "Who are they? Do you know them? What's she wearing? She smells good." He knelt down and fidgeted with the end of Regina's skirt. He was rewarded with a boot directly in his face.

There was some scattered laughter, but it was otherwise lost in the great curious silence of the tribe.

"She HURTS." Akiak said from his place on the earth, hands to his wounded face. "She's got SNAKES on her feet... rattle snakes!" He howled comically and rolled in the dust.

Regina blunk a few times at the fallen savage and then glowered daggers and knives and all matter of other sharp objects that her gaze could use to metaphorically kill him with. Her lips pulled back in a snarl. "You RAT b*****d! You didn't think Edward would find you?" She demanded.

((... LOLZ. That's all I could come up with... XD; ))
