Laini put some finishing touches to her 'bed', then turned to Rahima's way. "I would love to." She took few steps further of her 'bed', glanced it and then gazed to the sky for a moment. She sent a little prayer, well wishings to the wind to carry on to wherever the to-be-coming cubs father were. When she had done that, she walked next to her crimsom friend. "Lead the way, friend."

Again, ruby eyes seeking the best track towards the life giving liquid, Rahima led her friend. The nearest waterhole was small, at any rate. No fish could live in there, let alone a crocodile, so they could go straight at it. But she'd bet her tail it would dry up in a few months.

"It's the closest, the only other one I know of is ages away."

Laini nodded, a bit sad to counter such small waterhole. She wished that rains would come soon. Now, when they were there, she realizes how thirsty she really have been. She almost run towards it, wanting to taste the more or less fresh water.

Lapping up her water, Rahima contemplated how much more she seemed to want these days. Drinking for three, she guessed, and eating for them too. Perhaps a fat rabbit...before they headed back to the Nest she'd catch one if she could.

((Night. <3 ))

Laini just drank. She was extremely thirsty. She let out the purr, so happy she was to get water at last. She just didn't want to stop drinking, not yet. She thanked all gods she knew of this bliss. It took long for her to fill her but finally, it was done. She sighed happily, purring loud. "Ah, that felt good."

Rahima offered a swift prayer to the winds that even when she was cub-heavy she was a match for a rabbit. Staying downwind, she managed to get hold of a sickly one. After a quick meal she'd pad back to the Nest for a wash and try to steal ait of shuteye; but she doubted she'd dift off, too excited about her cubs.

Laini herself went right to the Nest. She had got her meal earlier, before her trip to crater's borders. In the Nest, she layed down, trying to stay calm. Though, it was hard, since she was more nervous than ever. This was her first time, afterall.

Bhaskar had walked off a bit to watch these lionesses. He decided on a very large boulder, the highest he could manage to get to, to watch down on the chubby pregnant cats. It may be best to let the adults just do their thing. For some reason, though, he kept them in sight; he didn't want them out of it. Instinct told him to stay and make sure nothing happened to those cubs. He felt the need to protect them, and at the moment, with his own stomach growing emptier by the minute, he felt the need to bring them food. They definitely couldn't hunt as well as a young, fit lion, not with those bellies.

And so, he did. Bhaskar ventured off and hunted for three or more. Dragging the zebra back after his fill, he took it to the rocks where Rahima and Laini had settled down. As soon as he and his kill were visible to the two lionesses between the rocks, he snuffed loudly, so they could be known of his prescence. What am I doing, they're gunna kill me! He swallowed his fears and pushed the zebra carcass with his maw, indicating that it was for them. "You both need your strength." Where that had come from, Bhaskar didn't know, but never had he been more proud of himself. Nervous as he was, his voice hadn't shaken or sounded like a cub. He really did something awesome. Stepping back to show the ladies he meant nothing more than the meal, he hopped back up to his spot and stood there looking down at them. He wanted them to know he was there, just in case.

((Jeez, that's a long post))

Two figures moved as one, or rather, one figure moved, another as it's shadow.
An adolescent male, grey pelted and beginning to look a tad ragged, crossed the terrain, his scarlet eyes ever on the lookout for that familiar figure.
He was somewhere he had never seen, utterly, utterly lost.

It was entirely unbeknownst to him that he was being followed, for his stalker kept to the shadows, her black pelt blending perfectly.
Only her tattoos occassionally caught the sun, glowing golden in the light.
She had taken an interest in the stranger's progress, catching him with those bi-coloured eyes many miles ago, following him all the way.

Masego, the adolescent, stopped abruptly.
Were those... figures up ahead?

After the weeks apart, that one whom Masego so eagerly searched for was closer than he could imagine. Approaching the strangers at the waterhole from the opposite direction to his young disciple, Kitwana' steps were not so noticeable, nor so clumsy. His time as a free lion had taught him the grace of a hunter, if totally at odds with his body.

His mane had never fully grown, no proud bush of fur marking his chin or face, nor had his lithe physique ever truly filled out.
Still those ribs insisted on showing, still each muscle's movement could be traced. Ironic then, that this small, wiry figure had so much hidden power, both of form and mind.

He had been walking without cessation since leaving Dama, frustrated at her refusal to see sense.
And then, just when he thought he was free, voices filtered into the ears of that lone male.
Others.

"Hmm?" Laini pondered and looked up, around that direction where Bhaskar were. Had she seen something? That orange adolescent maybe? She shrugged, well maybe it didn't matter. She should focus to the birth, right? So she let it be.

After few moments, her attention was caught again. She rose her head. Huh? The same adolescent? And more importantly, he had zebra carcass with him? And he was bringing it... to her and Rahima? Laini couldn't but smile. That was so sweet. How she ever could pay back that kind of generousity? She stood up, walking to the carcass. "Thank you for your generousity", she said, bowing before starting to rip the meat. She ate just a little, saving it from Rahima and having a feeling that after the birth, food would be quite pleasant to have.

Rahima lifted her head, scenting other lions and more tantalizingly blood on the wind. She'd been sleepily watching the dry grass move through the gap in the rocks and it was only when Bhaskar came closer she jolted out of her doze. Getting to her feet she padded out, shooting a happy look and a smile Laini's way - a pleasant surprise, no, sister? - it said.

"Yes, thankyou." She called upwards towards him. Nudging the dead zebra's side with her nose, she sent thanks to it's spirit for the life energy they'd receive from it's flesh. Now she wished that she hadn't filled her belly with stringy undersized rabbit earlier.

On impulse, she started taking a few steps towards the orange male.

"Hello?"

Bhaskar nodded his head. Be respectful, the voice in his head told him. "Hello" he called down. Hmm, this wouldn't be a pleasent way to talk. He hopped down and stood on a rock just above the two lionesses. There we go. He bowed his head to Laini, then to Rahima, and sat his rump down. No threat, just an overgrown cub sittin on a rock, right?

Then he remembered something. That couldn't've been a bird.. "Excuse me, my queens" he hopped back up to his watch point and narrowed his eyes, quinting to see better. Yep. Other lions. Moving back to his talking spot, he nodded assuredly. "We have company, my queens." he said. he hoped the 'my queens' sounded respectful enough.. they didn't have to share their names, heck, he might not want to if he was a pregnant lioness.. but he should have a name for them, of course "Oh.. Um.. I am Bhaskar, at your service" he bowed gracefully. Thank goodness he'd been blessed with some sort of pleasantries, or these two might just wanna smack him around.

((Just a quick post.))

Wandering down into the crater, Kirjava saw just how huge this thing really was! There was so much to explore, much to her liking. As the two lionesses and the orange male left her sight, she didn't feel like following them just yet. There was much to learn about this place. As the little crimson and tan cub wandered around, she found that there was plenty of room here and no one could find her! A sly grin crept it's way along her muzzle, she'd have much fun playing here with others...Wait. Are there any other cubs here that she could play with?

Though, she didn't know the answer, she hoped that there were others to play with. Feeling her stomach growl, she was feeling quite hungry at the moment. What was there to eat around here anyway? Crimson eyes scanned over the area, but found nothing that she could take down herself. "Bah!" Sitting herself down near a river, she just gazed down at the fish and tried to catch one. After a few futile attempts, she quit and rested. There would be time later to get a meal.

Muroki had wandered away from the other cub earlier, trying to track down Rahima. Having found her, in what seemed to the youngster pleasant company, he started looking for Kirjava again.

However, stalking and shadowing the other adults in the area seemed more fun. He kept low and padded after a black female, who in turn followed an adult lion. Muroki - ahem, Mawali - played in his mind at being as big as the grown ups. ANd yet still invisable, following unseen...

Meanwhile, Rahima offered the orange male a friendly, amused smile. Queens? Laini was gentle and good enough for such a title, but neither of them held any pride. How sweet, though. Now, what to say in reply...hopefully he wouldn't think she was mocking him!

"I'm Rahima. It's a pleasure to meet you, Lord Bhaskar." Turning to scan the area, she noted the other lions. She fell silent to let Laini speak, however.
