I don't think the book is bad just that Laurell went out at it the wrong way(but I'm not the author so I can't really say how her books should be done). Though for some of the reviews I think people are judging the book pretty harshly but its their opinions. I just think Laurell K. should try to make her two series more different and stop reusing things so much. sad

I'm in the middle of chapter 24 atm and I'm not sure what I think.. I'll reserve judgement til I've finished the book. lol
I'm still surprised I was able to find a copy this soon here in Australia. smile

I bought it the day it came out and read it overnight.
I happened to love this book. Jason is one of my favorites, and it was nice seeing more of him. He hadn't really been around for awhile as much as he used to be. I missed him.
I did feel it could have been a bit longer, I wanted to see how some more things turned out, but I guess we wait until the next book. smile

I'm 14 chapters in, and they have yet to do or talk about, or even think about *anything* that doesn't have to do with sex. It kind of cracks me up how she gets all indignant that everybody is all but calling her a whore and nobody respects her as a Big Bad Vampire Hunter/Zombie Raiser, when it's been at least two or three books since she's done either. All she's done is boink anything with fangs and/or fur that comes within glomping distance. Meh.
Does she even work at Animators, Inc. anymore?! She decideds to skip town for a week or so, so she calls her boyfriend(s), but not her job? I would love to do that sometime, just to see what would happen.
OK, mini-rant over now.

I'll purchase Blood Noir when it comes out in paperback, I just bought the Harlequin in Paperback today. I have read the two chapters for Blood Noir. I hope it has lots of Jason, I like him. :3

I have to say that i enjoyed it. It had less sex for the sake of sex in it I think. Every sex scene in the book had plot development behind it, which is important in my mind.
If anyone isn't sure if they want to shell out money for it and wants to read the E-book, PM me and I can email it to you.

And well, Micah's a lycanthrope and with the number of times he's shifted since he had it done, it didn't heal. But then, yeah, Anita's pretty much the exception to all the rules. xd

Too bad for you, but I guess you are from USA, right? I´m from Czech republic and it takes ages to get something from States here. I´m waiting three months now for the first six books of Anita Blake series. I´ve read them all on my computer but it just isn´t the same as having them at home in paper...
