I'm a String Bass player, converted this year from the violins, but I love the Cello sound as well. <3
Sorry Violas, no love for you. My friend tried to teach me but your clef hurts my brain. ><

I play violin, but I love the viola's sound. I would love to play the viola someday, but it would cost too much to buy another instrument, especially at good quality.

heart Gotta show love for the cello!! 'S the only instrument that makes sitting a vital part of playing!! Woohoo for butt muscles! blaugh
Jaa... I'd say as my personal liking goes, it's Cellos, Basses, Violas, then Violins. The higher noises bother my ears a tad too much. Especially when you get into things like extensions o the E string. Fwoo...that's a right nasty noise right there, 'specially in a lower level high school orchestra.

I play the cello, and i do think it is the best instrument ever, but i also really enjoy the viola. Personally the violin is really to high pitch and squeaky for me, and the bass is to low, that its hard to hear in any orchestra. No offense to the violin, or bass, just thats how i feel heart

Thats the same way I feel except I play viola but I really like the sound of the cello! I sit right next to the cello section! I really love viola!
