Im a trumpet, but I accidentally voted for flute, and seeing as of how there are alot of flute/trumpet relations in my band ((me being in one)) I would say they are definitely made for each other.

the only reason why the flutes won was probably because the band director was standing to teh right of everyone and had about 6 flutes playing per trumpet to try to make things just a little more even.... no offense... No im kidding I dont have beef with anybody... except thsoe two drummers behind me, they say I play the worng notes when the person next to me doesnt even have a working instroment.

Flutes and trumpets both have that really annoying I'm better than you type attitude. The difference is the trumpets just brag where as the flutes actually really are better. (It's bad enough that people like throw a party when a flautist messes something up...)

I play both the flute and trumpet.
The thing I noticed at the majority of schools is that the flute players tend to be girls and trumpets tend to be boys. Because of the natural ways of girls and boys, they tend to not get along. The flutes tend to think teh boys are immature jerks and the trumpets tend to think the girls are stuck-up and annoying. Both tend to have that self-centered attitude where they act like they are better than others. These two attitudes cannot stand the other one challenging their status.

ya, we butt heads at my school, we trumpetiers sit directly behind the flutes...all we do is sound the triumphant sound of the trumpet in their ears...but they can't do anything about it, so they hate us, but they are our playthings.

I was the only brass person in my class meaning all the rest of them were flutes and clarinets... no saxes or percussion. I either had to conform to their twisted ways or be killed in my sleep on the trips. I pretend to like them, but really...... no flutes from my school here right?

I play trumpet and we're fine with the flutes...however...
The trumpets, tenor sax player and the clarinets all tease the other players. in particular the Alto Sax player because we all believe Bb players are definately the best =P
So... in conclusion...its not Flutes vs trumpets, its Bbs stick

At my school(it's really small since I live in a little town that no one knows about really)the flutes and trumpets get along fine.We're(I'm a flute and so are my main BFF's)really good friends w/ them.Sure there's the occasional,"Play louder!"or,"Why have flutes,ya can't hear them?".But we just joke around like that,I mean,I'm in love w/ one of the trumpets... heart

dukhotel Well me a trumpet and i always gettin yelled at by flutes sayin we play too loud...so we play louder....and for some reason they play softer.... confused this is just what happens at my school

I'm a trumpet player and yeah we hate flutes.. and flutes hate us.. and in the end no one cares! lol..
Flutes are stupid.
Trumpets are cocky.
Therefore we like to demolize the flutes for their stupidity.. lol
I'm sure not every band is like that but yeah.
