"I am as good as I was made." Sky replied as he moved his arms backward, lifting himself up into a croutch, blocking his 'private area' with his left arm and his right arm resting on his right leg. He wondered why Sophia was closing her eyes. "Are you alright?" he asked in such a caring voice.

Telling herself she was being foolish, the ex-soldier snapped her eyes open and nodded firmly. Those eyes gave his form the once over, assessing mechanically that he obviously hadn't broken anything, and he wasn't incapacitated in any way. Getting to her feet, she snatched up her jacket and bundled it hurriedly around his shoulders.
"Fine. Just fine. Look, you can't just sit around the streets naked."
She seemed to think for a moment, glancing at her timepiece, then reluctantly stuffed her hands in her jeans pocket as she looked back at him. People were starting to stare, and the cops would be here any minute. The guy didn't seem like he meant any harm. Sophia sighed.
"Look, I shouldn't do this, but I'll give you a ride. You can't stand around on the streets like...that."
Shaking her head, and telling herself she was definitely taking the good Samaritan rule too far this time, she held the truck door open and gestured for him to climb over to the passenger's side.

Sky looked at the jacket that was set upon his shoulder. "This must be clothing that humans wear. I guess I do have to fit in." he said to himself. Seeing Sophia's gesture to go in the strange vechicle, he stood up. Standing, he was about one foot taller than her, his chest at her neck if they were standing close to one another. He could hardly feel the chill in the air the wind blew and his black hair seemed to stay put. He did not seem to notice anyone that was starting at him; his face was stil content. He walked towards the car and got inside.

She was surprised at the height of him as he moved past her into the cab of the truck. She was used to being tall for a woman, and it was usual for her to be able to look most men in the eye, a fact she'd used to her advantage when she'd been white-knuckling her way up the ranks back in her military days. When he looked down at her on his way past, it made her feel...small, even feminine by comparison. Shaking her head, she climbed in and slammed the door behind her.
"Seatbelt."
She muttered it absently as she clipped her own in, the way she always did before driving. She was a big believer in God taking you when it was your time, but that didn't mean you had to go about asking for trouble. Gunning the engine till it growled to life protestingly, Sophia reached under her tank-top to pull out the crucifix that hung around her neck, and press it lightly to her lips. It was an old habit, one she'd picked up from her mother, who'd been a firm believer that God protected those who kept him close in their hearts.
Glancing in her side view mirror before pulling out, Sophia couldn't help but glance at her passenger. He'd seemed young to her, but she realized now that while his expression held an innocence that she'd mistaken for youth, he was physically closer to her own age.
As she tooled down Main Street, she tapped her fingers on the wheel in time to the All-American Rejects song on the radio and tried to make a stab at conversation.
"Just let me know what direction to head to get to your place...so did you and your buddies drink too much last night? They strip you and leave you here as a joke or something?"

Zach rolled his eyes, standing. He gestured toward the house, meaning for Akira to follow him, and left his guitar case on the ground. He threw open the door, slowly walking up the stairs and into one of the spare rooms.
"I'm a guy, you know..." He mumbled. "All I got's what I wear..."

Zach rolled his eyes. He'd never seen anyone this far out, and was just annoyed with someone finding his haven, someone besides Charlie.
"Here." He tossed some clothes to her, and left the room quickly, flopping down on the couch in the main floor.

Zach quickly recovered himself.
"No...It's just...Not many people come out here." He jumped off the couch, hearing a light rain outside. He ran out to the back yard again, circling the pond to get his guitar case. At the edge, he slipped, landing in the mud. A chuckle escaped in his throat, and he ended up laughing, half in the shallow end of the pond.

"It is rather hard to get to where I am from by car." Sky replied to Sophia. He was careful not to give her any information of himself. "I do not drink." His eyes shifted from the front window to the side window to Sophia in a none paranoid way as he talked calmly.

[color=indigo]Akira sat on his couch and looked around, she didn't care much about the house, she just had to do her job in keeping Zach safe. "i wasn't cut out for this" she sighed and ever since she had woken up she felt less powerful and it bothered her.

Edward chuckled again, pulling himself out of the water. Grabbing his case, and carefully making sure he didn't slip, he circled the pond once more, and entered the house.
"Sorry..." He mumbled, laying the case next to the couch as he sat next o Akira. "So, Akira...How'd you get here?" He asked, curious .

At his words, Sophia's fingers flexed on the steering wheel as she turned a corner and pulled over sharply. Turning in her seat, she frowned at him in a baffled way. This guy had to be crazy! But somehow she couldn't make herself believe he was insane when her gut instincts about him wouldn't support that conclusion. Perhaps by now she should have been afraid, or at least angry; somehow she couldn't make herself feel either of those things towards him either.
" 'Hard to get to'? If it's hard to get to, how'm I supposed to take you there? Look, I'm sorry you got stranded, or whatever, and you're probably having a tough time..."
She cut off there, noting the contented look on his face, and realizing that he didn't look like a man who'd fallen on hard times. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but she had responsibilities, and no time for this nonsense. Glancing at her watch, she noted she was already a half hour behind schedule and cursed faintly. Looking back at him, she opened her mouth to tell him she'd drop him at a motel and he'd have to figure his own way from there...
"You can stay with me if you need to."
As soon as the words fell out of her mouth, a look of shock entered in her eyes. Where had those words come from?! She hadn't meant to say that at all! Sophia swallowed hard, gripping the wheel in both hands as she stared ahead of her. It had been like someone else had spoken for her or something! Shaken, but unwilling to rescind the offer, the blond shook her head as she rubbed at the spot on her temple where a headache was forming.
"Look, ah...my place isn't much. It's just me and Papa. But you can have the couch for a while. Just till you figure out how to get home, you understand?"

"At least this human is easy to cooperate with", Sky said in his thoughts. But Sophia seemed hard on herself when she spoke those words. Why was she now all of a sudden in a panic? Then again, Sky could hear her heart racing when she first meet him. Either way, soon Sophia would be more comfortable with him around. He gave a nod and replied with a "Thank you" from his lips.

Sophia shook her head, scrubbed her hands over her face. She was crazy. If she had any sense at all, she'd dump his butt at the nearest shelter instead of taking a complete stranger home with her. It wasn't herself she was worried about; after all, even with his height advantage, she was certain her training would allow her to disable any physical attack he might inflict on her...not that he seemed the type for that. But what on earth would Papa say?
"Alright then. I guess that settles it. But first..."
Sighing, she resigned herself to the way things were going, and eased her beat-up pick-up back on the street. The radio had switched to the Goo Goo Dolls, and they were telling her to let it slide. Yeah, alright. Maybe she should just learn to put things in Gods hands; wasn't that what Papa kept saying? But God, the thing she wanted most right now was a drink. Maybe two.
Pulling over out front of a small boutique, she got out and closed the door behind her, leaning in through the window to talk to him.
"Listen, ah...just stay put I'll be right back."
With that, she disappeared inside. Ten minutes later, and knowing her pocket book was going to be weeping with loss till pay-day, the blond stepped back outside and over to the truck.
"Here."
She tossed a plastic bag at him. Inside were a three pairs of plain black boxers, some washed-out blue jeans, and some simple teeshirts. Turning around, she leaned back against the truck, facing away from him so he could change.
"Get dressed. I can't take you home looking like that."
