Aysu chuckled. "It's alright. Learning to balance on blades is difficult. Not that I've ever tried it before now." She squeezed Noel's hand in turn. It felt nice to have her hand in hers. It warmed her body and made her feel comfortable and secure. It hadn't been long since they met all things considered, but Aysu already felt very comfortable with the snowy angel.
"I won't let go." Aysu stepped with Noel, finding that each step was easier and easier. The whole process made her a little wobbly, but she didn't nearly fall over with this step. "I promise."

Noel nodded, "Yeah, but wasn't is hard to walk on legs?" Seeing how Asyu was a naiad she had to learn to walk on legs after swimming, so maybe it would be easier or harder.
"Thanks." She said as she gripped her hand. She was feeling safe with Aysu and that was a great thing. Noel slowly walked beside her and felt the blades grow more comfortable to wear and easier. "I thikn I'm getting it!" She said with a grin and a look at Aysu.

Aysu had to think about it. "It was a bit awkward to walk on legs at first." She had been used to swimming, and therefore was a bit wobbly getting used to the stillness and the movement of two different appendages to move around. "Afterwards, though, it felt just as natural as swimming." Unfortunately, it didn't make walking on blades much easier. It only made her able to link it to a previous experience.
With Noel's hand in hers, Aysu felt like there was no way she could fall. And indeed, she didn't. Noel seemed to feel similar, because she wasn't stumbling anymore either. When she exclaimed that she was getting it and grinned, Aysu's peaceful smile turned into a grin of her own. "I think I'm getting it too."

"Really? I guess it would be like swimming to me." She didn't want to admit she hadn't really gone swimming much before. Maybe if Aysu went with her it would be easier?
Noel felt better and was glad that Aysu said she was getting it too. "Should we try it on the ice again?" She felt more comfortable and knew Aysu would be there too. They had practiced alot more this time.

"I could show you someday." But, for now, they were concentrating on ice skating. Though it was frozen water, it wasn't that similar to swimming at all. After all, it required having two legs. When suggesting they should try it on the ice again, she nodded.
Aysu squeezed Noel's hand before heading back towards the river. "Yeah! I think we're ready this time." And if they weren't, falling and catching each other would probably prove to be amusing. Even if she fell, she felt just fine with Noel nearby. She would be fine.

"That would be so nice." That thought was exciting, it meant that Aysu liked her enough to see her again. She knew she felt that way about Aysu.
"Ok." She said as they walked to the edge of the river. She squeezed her hand back and smiled. Noel then slowly placed one foot on the ice and then the other, only sliding a tiny bit this time. "Whew!" She said and then waited to see how Aysu faired.

Aysu definitely wanted to see Noel again. There was no doubt in Aysu's mind that she wanted to see Noel again. For now, though, she could speak with her and see her all she wanted. After all, they were right next to each other, in front of a frozen river.
In case she fell, Aysu held Noel's hand. Luckily, though, Noel managed to keep her balance. She grinned at Noel, before taking a deep breath and stepping out onto the ice to try it herself. Now that she had practiced, she kept her balance much easier. It was a bit slippery, but after all, it was ice. "We're on the ice!" She eagerly exclaimed, with a chuckle.
Then, however, she glanced out into the distance. "Do we try skating now?"

Noel laughed as she thought it was funny that the girls were just happy to be on the ice. Noel looked out at the river and then back at Aysu, "I guess so."
She slowly slid one foot out and then the other, but didn't want to let go of Aysu's hand. She looked back at her and then giggled, "I guess I should let go now, huh?"

Aysu giggled in turn. "Let's hold on for some support." Though, honestly, she only wanted to hold onto Noel's hand because it felt so nice in hers. The naiad didn't want to let go, and therefore, she wouldn't.
She slid forward herself. This wasn't so bad, though it was a bit difficult to keep the blades from slipping out from underneath her feet. However, she had Noel. Aysu could do this. She took a deep breath before sliding forward once again.

Noel smiled and nodded, "Yeah, good idea." She didn't want to let go either, it was wierd to feel this way after barely meeting this girl, but it was true. She really liked being with Aysu.
Noel slid her feet forward again, but tried to stay at Aysu's side. If she got to far ahead she may fall and take Aysu wit her. "This isn't too bad," She said with a smile.

Aysu didn't care how odd it seemed that she already found herself so attached. Perhaps she and Noel just had really good chemistry. That, naturally, wasn't a bad thing at all. Aysu was practically glowing in her happiness.
"Yeah! Can't do any fancy tricks," she laughed, "but this isn't so bad. I think we just needed to get used to walking on the blades first." Aysu skated beside Noel, turning towards her to show a toothy grin. "But now that we got the practice, we aren't falling." They had the support of each other, too, which no doubt helped the process.

"Who needs fancy tricks?" Noel said and laughed, "Staying up is the hard part anyway!" She slid forward some more her movement getting a bit easier and less jerky.
"How far are we going to go?" Noel didn't mind going far down the river as long as Aysu was with her it would be fine and well...fun! She felt that she had been missing alot being on her own, well with her adopted daughter. She had fun with her yes, just a different kind of fun.

Who needed fancy tricks when they could stay up and just have the copy of each other on the seemingly endless expanse of frozen water? "As far as you want to go, Noel." Aysu paused momentarily to kiss her cheek, then giggling lightly and turning away with a light blush. Once the blush faded, she looked back out into the frozen waters.
"Of course," she teased, "we don't want to get lost." Loki Nei Forest wasn't exactly small, and Aysu was well aware of that. She wouldn't mind getting lost with Noel, but it was probably better that they didn't. "So let's not get too far away from our little base here." Of course, 'too far' was a bit vague. Aysu was willing to go forward for quite a while.

Noel blushed at the quick kiss. She squeezed Aysu's hand and then quickly returned the kiss on Aysu's cheek. She wondered how cold a kiss from her whould be? Maybe Aysu wouldn't notice since it was cold out already?
"Well, let go a little ways and then turn around and come back!" She slid her feet alittle faster. "Yeah, lost is not good." She didn't like that sound, but then she could always fly up to get a direction.

If Aysu noticed the chill, she didn't seem to mind. The kiss only warmed her blood, and she sighed in contentment at feeling so peaceful. This was really nice. Why hadn't she stepped forward and tried to ask Noel out sooner?
"Yeah! I like the sound of that." They could make a little way from the area and then turn around and return to the picnic. By the time they did that, they might be tired anyway. Blades were hard to keep balanced on for an extended period of time when just learning, right? She slid along. "I like the view," commented the naiad.
