I can't wait for CC, either! My friend works at Gamestop and she reserved and pre-paid for it for my birthday! *_____* I HAVE REALLY NICE FRIENDS. Lol

Wow you really are lucky. . . my friend got me the japanese one, but I have no idea whats going on. So when it comes out it'll be nice to actually get whats happening, lol.

In ESB, before Han is frozen in carbonite, Leia says, "I love you." and Han says, "I know."
In RotJ, when they are fighting stormtroopers, Han says, "I love you." and Leia replies, "I know."
Both times the character saying, "I know." is in some sort of danger. In the first, well, obviously he's being frozen in carbonite. He is lowered into it right after this line.
In the second, Leia has been hurt during the fight. Though both of them are surrounded by stormtroopers, Leia is the one wounded.
These are both very iconic scenes in SW to show Han and Leia's relationship forming.
Obviously the FFVII quote isn't exact, but it has the same sort of feel. Tifa exclaims she has something she needs to tell Cloud, but Cloud casually answers, "Tifa... I know.", just like Han and Leia casually tell each other, "I know." instead of a simple, "I love you too."
It seems to similar to be a coincidence, as I said, SE are huge SW fans.
Perhaps it doesn't have the exact same meaning, considering it's unlikely that Cloud actually knows anything at this point, but I definitly think it's linking these two characters together and paralleling them to another famous couple, Han and Leia.

Wow....nice connection! And I can see that link! Even though Cloud replies in a nonchalant way, but saying that in the face of death is like saying "I wish we could have been together more" or something like that. For Cloud to say "I know" shows his understanding to Tifa's feelings at that moment. biggrin

More importantly though, the line seems out of place since we know he ACTUALLY doesn't know anything. Plus, though the scene is mirrored in RotJ with Leia saying the reverse, the one from ESB is more iconic, ie. Girl saying her feelings and guy just saying, "I know." and falls to his what could be death (okay, Han is lowered, but he's going in a downward position, XP). Funny thing to is, that line was improvised because they thought, "I love you too." would be too easy. It's such an awesome line. *hugs Harrison Ford for making SW awesome and full of hotness*
Oh well, the conclusion is that the scene is extremely similar, SE would have been aware of the SW scenes that are similar, so draw your own conclusions. XP
