Hema wasn't quite fast enough to avoid the fangs. Her reaction of them coming towards her was to lift up her wing. to protect the rest of her body. Her feathers were thick enough that he couldn't rip too many of them if she was fast enough to get away from him after he bit down a bit. Her eyes closed as well, just for a second.
Jeevita had a rather horrified look upon her face, but at the moment she really couldn't do anything without making the situation worse then it was. All she could do was watch and wait for a few moments before helping her daughter. The one good thing about being half uni was that she could heal, not that well, but she could heal none the less.

Spyro bit down on the wing because of the fact she used it to block the rest of her body. geting a hold he ripped out a mouth full of feathers in anger and went with using his big bulk to try to shove to the ground as he spat the feathers at the blue alicorn mare. tail whipping about, he was just about through with them but he would have to toy with the blue mare a bit more by contiuning to maul the orange one.

Hema screamed in pain as she was pushed to the ground, though she tried to fight back to keep herself up, but he was over powering. She snapped towards his face to get him to back off, but she was sure that wouldn't work at all. Fear was setting in more then ever. What was going to happen? She looked towards her mother, but couldn't really see her with Spyro over the top of her pretty much. His massive wings blocked out almost anything, and her attention should be on where his teeth and tail was, not at her mother.
Jeevita could watch much more of that. As she watched the feathers fall from the males mouth, and watched her daughter fall to the ground, she started to go towards the male. Stomping her feet and her head down with her horn pointed at him. Wings slightly folded out to give her more balance and make herself look bigger then what she was. Even though fear was there, she was over powered by trying to protect her child. Any mother would be the same with their child.
