Isilmi imedeatly tensed. Drow did not offer to be of use to other Drow without wanting something else out of the agreement. Normally it was something worth much more than what the first Drow had gained. While she was apprehensive to tell the other Drow woman much about herself, she knew that she could tell her the basics without much fear of being called upon later. Besides, she could always turn down any help that the woman could offer her by claming that she didn’t need any such help, that she was more than capable of taking care of herself.

“I am Isilmi Kezifrn, youngest daughter of house Kezifrn of Menzoberranzan. I am a yathrin, as I have already said, and I am here to learn.” Isilmi allowed a to slide onto her lips. “Would you like to tell me about yourself and let me see if I could be of use to you?”
Dhann'Dra laughed, it came out as something kin to a little girl's giggle, and nodded in appreciation of Isilmi's quick wit. "Well Isilmi Kezifrn, sister yathrin, I certainly hope we can be of use to each other." She wanted to discuss how more in-depth but didn't go into it out in such a public place. That was yet another thing she had that her mother constantly failed at, being mindful of the possibilities of enemies to the house.

"I am Dhann'Dra Barri'Neld - second daughter to Matron Barri'Neld, and I believe we should move along if we wish to discuss how we might be helpful to one another.

((Sorry, I got really busy with my midterms. I’m on spring break now so it’s all good. ^^ ))

More than anything that she said it was the laugh that put Isilmi on guard. She had expected a high pictured laugh to come out of the girl, but the way that she giggled was just… it was strange to hear it from a girl that was already a yathrin, and in a more important house than she. She didn’t let herself show it, or at least tried not to, but she focused more on her surroundings, trying to make sure that no one had come with Dhann’Dra and that this wasn’t some trap.

“Of course, Dhann’Dra Barri’Neld. Please,” She gestured her hand for Dhann’Dra to lead. “Lead on to where you would like to talk of our helpfulness to one another.”

Mas'daun Barrith walked the cities with his head bent and his eyes focused upon the ground before him. His blue silk robes were poorly concealed by a overcloak of dull grey and the hood had a terribly tendency to keep falling backwards off his head no matter how many times he pulled it forwards. His long hair did a fair job at hiding his face though, and this was all mas could ask for right now. He clutched a oversized book to his chest, the tome was wrapped in new leather and cornered with rather gaudy golden clips. Slung over his shoulder was a bag that clinked now and then from the pair of ink pots he had not wrapped very well, and some tubes of parchment awkwardly made their presence known by poking the hanging flap aside and lazily flopping with each step against his side.

Mas' mind was elsewhere though. Packing today had been done with only particial attention. Another student had been dismissed from his class, and Mas was unable to phantom why. If he could not determin how to win his teachers favor, then it was quite likely Mas could be the next to go. Wizardry was the only thing he had felt sure of for such a long time, he was not prepared or willing to let someone take it away from him.

Nednolu wandered through the city, marveling at what made it different from her own home. Whereas the dull light of her home came from the magma that swirled beneath them, the dull light here was produced by the faerie fire of the nobles. She wrapped the camouflage cloak that man traveling warriors wore around her more tightly. It was also colder than Llurth Dreir. She hopped a bit to make sure the straps on her pack were still secure, and was rewarded with the feel of it still snug against her back, rather than making a 'bounce' of its own. Besides her cloak, the only thing defining her as a warrior that could be seen was the longsword at her side; a simple thing with no decoration save the dark cloth wrapped around the handle. Her lean muscle would have given away the fact also...but it was currently hidden beneath her cloak.

She sighed and shook her head. She'd have to meet up with her teacher later at the inn they'd be staying at. They'd reached inside the gates and he'd gone off, saying something about meeting an old comrade. Knowing him, he'd gone for the free drinks involved. She looked up...and promptly ran into someone else. She managed to catch herself before she landed on her arse, wincing from the impact. Nednolu had not been expecting it.

Mas' distracted thoughts, and unobservance of his general surroundings led to quite the collision. He rebounded off the strong framed individual that had either walked into his path, or had been there and mas had been unaware of it. He was not certain. The book he was carrying fell, clanking heavily on the stone street and flopping open to bare pages. The bag on his shoulder fell as well, and the ill wrapped ink pots made quite the pretty sound as they stuck each other in the fall. mas was a bit more fortunate. Stumbling backwards, he did manage to keep his feet, barely though. A hand pressed to his chest where the point of impact had occured, rubbing at it as his blue eyes snapped to the cloaked figured.

"I...I apologize...I did not see you sir..." Mas hurriedly spoke.

Ah s**t. The guy was dressed well -usually meant noble- and seemed to be a magic user; Nolu didn't know of anyone else insane enough to carry around such a large book. She had been tempted to chew out whoever he was...but at this point, she would rather not risk getting zapped. Male he was, and Nolu was female, but she was a commoner. She shook her head and picked up the book, offering it to its owner.

"No, I was the one not paying attention. Besides, you seem to have been more affected by our run-in than myself."

Mas was not in the habit of judging others by their clothing style. In his house commoners were so clearly noticeable it seemed impossible to miss them, and so he never bothered to scrutinize another on first meetings. He knelt, picking up his bag and inspecting the outside for any ink stains that may have begun to seep through the purple silk. None seemed apparent at this time. He shouldered the bag, and seemed to quite greatefully take the book from the strangers hands. It was a relief the other was not furious at him for his blindness. Mas did not need another thing to add to his worries like a affronted stranger.

"No no...I am fine. It was just...a surprise is all. Thank you very much." He replied as he once more wrapped the book tight to his chest. The drow before him was garbed in a fairly concealing manner, and from the lit of his voice, Mas assumed he was merely young. Perhaps even younger then Mica. "Are you...are you waiting for someone?"

Nednolu shook her head. "No, I'm just wandering that city for a bit. It's a marvel really. Very different from my home city. Much colder and more...purple and gray." Poetic, Nednolu was not. She took a step back once the other had taken his book, then made a small bow. "I am Nednolu."

The other didn't seem to be interested in striking at her. In fact...he seemed a bit timid. Made her wonder. But she could wonder later. She shoved her observations into the back of her mind for later.

So he was just a visitor? Oh...that was such a relief! Mas' shoulders sagged a little as the tension in his back vanished. He had not realized how tense he had gotten! With the anxiety fading quickly, Mas felt a touch more confidence as he spoke to the female that he was still under the impression was a male.

"What city is it you are from? Oh...I am sorry...I am Mas D'aun. It is...interesting to meet you." It was best not to make more of a fool of himself, but that seemed to be his curse at times. It was only then that Mas realized that he had been standing with his hood down, yet again, and he quickly reached up to tug it back in place. "If...you are not in any hurry or rush, maybe I could offer you a drink at my home? Or elsewhere. I could pay?"

"I hail from Llurth Dreir." She removed her own hood, a practiced smile on her face. She wanted to just grin, but that was almost always a bad thing to do around other drow. Especially when you've just met them. "It is good to meet you as well, Mas D'aun. And it may be better to find a good tavern. Unless you've got people who aren't fond of you in the local taverns."

She shifted, letting her cloak loosen a bit. The fabric still hid most of her figure, but some of the curve refused to be hidden.

"Llurth Dreir?" Mas D'aun repeated. "That...that is a good long distance from here. Do you normally travel so far?" Mas had not yet met anyone who traveled beyond the borders of the city beyond the raiders emplyed by his Matron. Nednolu would most definatly be the first.

Mas D'aun was a little surprised by the very feminine features of the 'boy' and he ill disguised his quizzeled expression. Tilting his head only slightly, he blinked his pale blue eyes to clear them so he could return the others smile. After all, Nednolu had not corrected him when he used the term 'sir'.

"I am not so certain where there is a 'good tavern'...but I'm sure there is a tavern along this road further down. I...highly doubt I would find anyone I know in a tavern." Quavvira avoided the streets as if she were afraid of being locked outside the doors, and Mica seemed to like prowling around with the raiders during their rest period.

Mas lifted a hand to gesture the long fingers where he spied a hanging sign posted to the second floor of a brick stone building. "There, that looks like one..." The cloak was loosened by now, and Mas did indeed catch a few glimpses of...well...either Nednolu was a very gracefully igured boy or... "Y-your a...female?"

Nednolu nodded. "My teacher and I are to travel through all of the great Drow Cities...though this is my first time traveling this far." She was a little confused when the other showed slight signs of being confused himself, but she didn't let it phase her.

Her gaze followed where Mas pointed and she nodded. "Yes...that'll probably do well. So...no one you know, and certainly no one I would know...I do believe we shall be relatively safe."

Nednolu blinked and looked back to Mas a little confused. "Yes. Ah...It is a little strange for a woman to be a warrior...but I have my reasons." She gave a slight smile. "I am sorry for not saying what gender I was earlier."

Mas's eyes seemed to be avoidant of Nednolu's general area now. he felt a slight chill travel through his body followed by a sickened heat. He reached up and began to pull at his hair with distracted fingers. "Oh..n-no reason to ap-apologize." He quite hastily assured her. She was a travling drowess...so he knew his squirming feelings were completely irrational.

"I kn-know of a few warriors that are f-female." Mas forced himself to keep walking towards the tavern, he was not doing this to 'better' himself. But due to the fact he had offered the drink, and Mas would ot retract a offer he had made. It just was not...suitable...

"S-so...why are you and your-your master traveling?"

Irae'riina had woke for an early start in preparation for business and some important Matrons that would be stopping by later in the month. Tapping a pen against her chin, she took one last look about her household before stalking out the doors. Anyone who had a brain, she mused, would stay far out of her way. Walking down her steps, she headed towards the market. Runes of a cyan color were tattooed along the lengths of her arms. Those who could read them, knew very well who she was.

At the stalls, she surveyed goods. Irae had bodyguards, but they were mostly there for looks and false pretenses. The Enchantress was fully prepared to protect herself, she was Drow after all. Pointing out things she wish sent to her house, she made orders from shop to shop. They understood her accountant would pay upon delivery.

Mas D'aun was feeling, for lack of a better description, quite healthy lately. His confidence had grown from various encounters. He even now had a keen interest in his future. By Lloth! He was even making plans and plotting for his future. It was more then he had ever thought he'd be inspired to do. He was not even worried about leaving his House. No...that wasn't true. he still felt incredibly nervouse traveling outside of his House. But he no longer had the shame and fear holding him within, like a caged animal.

Mas D'aun's reason for his outing today was two fold. The first being his desire to purchase a gift for Tri-No. he had thought long and hard about what sort of item he should gift to her. He needed to make certain it wasn't too outrageouse. Nothing overly expensive. He did not want others whispering about him and courting attempts. Oh no no! The reason for that was in fact his second purpose for coming to the market. Taliesin! Mas D'aun had not felt so comfortable with himself or any others s he had with this particular drow! He felt nearly overwhelmed with the neccessity to gift him with something very flattering...something very desierable...something very very expensive!

Mas wandered from stall to stall in thought. His fingers twirling through his silver hair thoughtfully as he naturally sauntered with a female like gaite. Besides, if he made more appearances like this, it would lead much more credence to his claims later on.... As he skirted around one particular stall, mas hesitated as he saw the various objects within. Spell staves? Well...he did not have a staff yet, and he had been working rather diligently on the concept he had randomly stumbled upon during his discussion. Mas stood, flicking his hair over his finger, and thoughtfully examined the stacked bits of lumber. He saw, vaugely, out of the corner of his eye some luninesencet green color, and his blue gaze flickered over towards the shopping female with her guards. He ought to start taking guards out with himself...but it seemed rather... inconvient.
