Reiku turned and got up clutching his fist his eye's boiling with rage. " Why didn't you tell me twilight was part of the nirvish and theEND project why! " He looked at the man and started to bowl. " Im sorry tolly.. I din't mean to explode like that. " The young boy looked away ashamed. ZHe sniffed the tear's away and looked at him. " What you doing in a place like this? There's nothing left just rougue fighter's and LFo's from jame's shop. " He looked behide him at the blue mecha. " I'm sorry.. " he mumbled as he walked up to him with his head low.
Taking a step backwards Tolly looked shocked. "The-..." Seeing Reiku so upset he wasn't sure how to say it. "Reiku. Where did you hear about that? No one is supposed to know where the Twilight came from."
Sighing Tolly pulled off his jacket and sat down beside Reiku. He noticed when the boy had stood up that he was a few inches taller than when that had last seen each other. Figuring it wasn't the time he decided not to mention that.
"Reiku. I'm not sure how you learned that but.. well it is true.. in a way. Twilight's archetype was retrieved at the same dig as TheEnd. They were twin forms. The engineer in charge of that project was having problems though and the Twilight wouldn't work with the weapons that they were wanting to put into them. They went with two other Archetypes in place of the Twilight."
He took a long drag on his cigarette and watched the smoke rings roll out in front of the ocean's waves. "Remember Asuka and Kayako's LFO's? Those were the ones that replaced the Twilight. The original plan was to have two that would act in sync with each other and overpower the Nirvash. Let's just say that Twilight would stop working on test days for some strange reason."
"So... the connection to The Nirvash is strictly in the form itself and the connection to theEnd is purely in there origins. They.. you know grew together."
"Your dad was lucky to get that Archetype. I myself actually tried to buy it and he beat me to the sale."

In the shop James heard the phone ring. He had been watching Topher clean the small archetype and had been talking with Rose. She was still a little jarred but had calmed down a lot from earlier.
He went to answer the phone. "Yeah." he said without even saying his name.
"James, you won't believe this," came a voice. James recognized it as the digger he had gone to visit a few days ago. They had brought the frames back after paying him and he had said to notify the mechanic if he found anymore frames.
"Try me," James said sarcastically, “I doubt anything could surprise me after the day I've had."
After a long silence the digger spoke. His tone was almost deathly cold. "I found more. ALOT more!"
"More what," James replied, "Archetype frames?"
"Hell yes. There was another chamber underneath the one we recovered the three from. It's huge. James I'm not sure what to make of it. There must be over a hundred of those small Archetypes in there."
The mechanic wasn't sure what to say to that. He told the digger to hold off on telling anyone else. Hanging up he wondered when Mr. Marcius would get there.

Reiku sat down next to the man who helped him. " I found paper's with all three name's on my dad's dresser...." He closed his eyes. " Tolly I want you to know this.. ' He looked at him. " Remember when I told you about the girl colrian.. She came into the house when I found it.. She told me twilight felt the pain of TheEND when it exploded... I didn't feel a thing.. ' he stoped and sighed. " Dose kayako or asuka or any one else now about Twilight past? " He pulled a photo of his parents out of his pocket.

He stabbed out the butt of the cigarette and lit another one. "I doubt it," he said blowing out the smokes. "Asuka wasn't the orginal pilot of her LFO... and Kayako has no memory of herself back then. Besides. That all happened during the engineering phase. They didn't really get involved with the LFO's until after they were completed. The original pilot of Asuka's LFO might have known about it though. She was supposed to have been Twilights rider."
Tolly smiled. "Damn kid, seems like I'm always talking about stuff from the past when we get together." He laughed merrily. "Well, anyway. No they wouldn't know any of that. I doubt they would understand anyway. LFO Twins aren't uncommon but those two were like opposites. Alot of people got hurt during the building of TheEnd you know. The Twilight on the other hand would stop working whenever the test pilots tried to make it attack. I'm pretty sure that's why it was scraped and replaced. They moved some parts of it over to the other two mechs and did away with it."

He laughed a bit and smiled. "I love talking about the past, how Twilight was found and stuff. " He laughed.
"No, I never met Eureka. I heard about her from Ray=Out, but this girl is named Ruby. She was the one who told me that I was connected to some kinda destiny, like Renton and Eureka where. "
He looked at the sea moving in and out. "When I flew in, I swore I was going to be attacked by a couple KLF's but they where told not to." He closed his eye's as an image of Twilight's head rippled into his mind.
"I fought theEnd three time's before I met up with Kayako and the gang." He smirked. "That pilot was one crazy person.. those claw's where a pain. " He tried to lighten the mood.

His eyes lit up with excitement. " She's got the prettiest pink eye's, with a red circle in them, that I ever seen. ' He stopped and calmed down. " She's nice and really pretty too. ' he smiled at Tolly.

Tolly just stared at him. He searched the young mans face for any sign that he was joking.
"Reiku... that can't be. There are no other Coralians. Just Eureka... well and the Lady of the Great Wall. The one the Voderak people call The Sakuya."
He pulled out another cigarette without thinking and twirled it in his fingers. "To say there has been another one.. That's a pretty big deal. Are you sure-"
Tolly was interrupted by a chirping sound. It came from his clothes and he stopped to reach for his belt. Clipped there were three radios. One looked like a big block and had lots of knobs on the side. The other two were more like cellular phones. It was the large one chirping. With a quick motion he pushed the button and spoke. "This is director Marcius. I am in an important meeting. All communications will have to wait until I'm finished. Forward any necessary files to my ship for review." He didn't wait for a response. He simply switched the radio off and clipped it back on his belt.
"Reiku. It's very hard for me to believe you actually met a Coralian. You say her name was Ruby? What was she like? Back when I was working At Tresior, I met Eureka. I don't think nice would be the word to use for her then. Is Ruby.. quiet? Sullen? Or... what? Did she say where she came from?"
Leaning forward he seemed completely drawn in and waiting on Reiku's every word.

He looked at him as he closed his eye's. " She's pretty much very easy to talk to. Her body is well... " he blushed a little as he thought of her. "She's cute..She told me she came from where my father worked and that be the main Novak place. "
He looked towards the hanger. Smoke was rising. " Tolly.. "
A loud boom was heard as two LFO's flew up and went at each other. "One of those is Twilight.. " He stood up quickly, ran to Tolly's mech and opened a link to Twilight's cockpit. There sat both Rose and Ruby.
"GIRL'S WHAT'S GOING ON!"
Ruby answered back quickly. "Get your butt over here. Some bloody red LFO that looks like Twilight is going bonkers and I'm trying to get it out over water." She closed the link as Reiku grinned. "Tolly i need you to get me close to that red LFO there." He pointed.

reiku kept his eye's peeled on the red LFO. " Yup the girl who's right know piloting my LFO. " He open another link to ruby and rose. " Bring Twilight and that red LFO towards us I'll try to mount it when where on the ground. " Ruby's face widen. " What you crazy! " Reiku sighed. " Is rose okay? " She shook her head. ' She's knocked out but she'll be fine just be careful reiku. " The linked closed.

Tolly had watched the screen when Reiku linked with Twilight. The camera in the front was not on but he had to see this girl. He had taken in the face as best he could. He didn't know her. It was strange to him.
When the link was broken he turned to the sky and aimed again and fired at the red LFO. The ground to air missile shot out and after a few seconds it blasted off headed towards the strange machine in the sky. Tolly steered it using a control stick and monitor mounted on the front of the missile.
As a test he had it veer towards the Twilight. The mech danced around the missile like it had been standing still. Turning around he did the same thing again. For a second time the missile was dodged with ease.
Tolly had seen enough. He moved the deadly device towards the red LFO and detonated it only a few dozen feet above the machine. It wasn't badly damaged but it lost it's footing on the board it was riding and went into a dive towards the ground.

Ruby spun Twilight down after it. " Time to short circuit your little beast! ' Reiku rippled back in. ' Don't just cut the power source! under the left armer plate be careful though! " As twilight danced next to the Red LFO it cut it. A loud boom happened as the LFO hit the ground.

"Good call Reiku." Tolly called out.
He watched the LFO crash and shouldering the cannon he raced the MAT mech towards the site of impact. Pulling up, the bike skidded to a halt and the cockpit slid open. Tolly jumped out quickly.
Being so close to the ocean the ground was not made of tight packed dirt. Instead it was a grainy sand. This had caused two things. First, it had acted to slightly cushion the impact. Second, it had caused a crater much larger than normal. The displaced ground had been blasted out into the air and rained down away from the site in a strange wave of grit and pebbles. No buildings had been hit luckily.

Reiku hoped out, ran over to the red LFO and climbed into the cockpit. "There's no one in the cockpit. It's like the KLF hanger." He looked back at Tolly as Twilight landed and Ruby jumped out and walked over to them.
"Is he going to be okay? " She asked as she touched her hand on the plate." He'll be fine ruby." He said with a smile.

Ruby." Tolly said. "Reiku here has told me some interesting things since I reached this town. I must say, I've never seen an LFO do something like this on it's own." He looked at her and smiled.
As her eyes met his, he was shocked to see Reiku was right. Her eyes were clear and pink. Around the iris were thin black circles. He tried to size her up and the more he looked at her the more he seemed to think of the corallian Eureka. Her height was about the same and her face was equally pretty. While she seemed young, there was no childlike aura to her. The only noticeable difference was a look of deep understanding in her face. When he had known her, Eureka had been very innocent and ignorant to many things human. This girl did not seem that way.
"If you're asking me," she began with a smile, "whether I have then the answer is no. The little ones do not act on there own. They only act on the orders of there partners."
"You mean like the rider." Tolly said. "Can you... um... ask who the rider is? Or maybe why it felt the need to attack you and Reiku's girlfriend?"
Turning her eyes away she looked to the LFO. "I can try sir." she said. Ruby laid her hand on the plate of the battered mecha again and stood there silently. After a few moments she seemed to c**k her head to one side as if listening.
-------------
On the road nearby James was upset. He had not liked dealing with an insane LFO earlier that day. It had tore his nerves up beyond belief. To have it happen twice in one day and both times see the machine attach his precious daughter. It was too much the handle. Thinking over the events in the hanger he still couldn't tell what had started the whole mess.
The new archetypes. He had been inspecting the arms of one of the larger ones when the business had started. After that he had seen the Daylight tearing its way through the main hanger and go out the doors. He wanted to believe someone had stolen it, but sitting up at the top of the archetype there had been a clear view of the cockpit. No rider had been piloting it. There was no doubt in him, the machine had acted on it's own.
"Why," he said in the drivers seat of his truck,"Why did Rose go after it?" The Twilight had been the only fully operational LFO left in the shop. Rose had sped after the Daylight with a second person in the cockpit with her.
Hurrying towards the place he had seen an LFO come down it still seemed to much to take in. LFO's going crazy, Rose taking off with a stranger and to top it off Topher begging for a power pack to chase after her. That silly kid. James really couldn't tell if the boy was trying to pull a fast one or if he really thought he could bring down a flying LFO with a ground based mech that couldn't even defend itself- let alone fly.
As he pulled up on the site of the crash he put the truck in part and was shocked at what he saw. His first thought was that Topher had stolen a power pack and beat him here.
After a better look he realized this Blue MAT motorcycle parked near the crazed and crashed LFO was armed and far more weather worn than Tophers. It could only belong to one person.
Stepping out of the truck he started walking towards the group collected there.
