Kigu's eye went wide for a moment and he shivered, trying hard to hold back tears when Yunoko reminded him that they could get hurt. He had accidentally gotten one of his closest friends hurt really badly, and though she recovered, he could never forgive himself for what he thought was all his fault... when it wasn't, for how was he supposed to know how slippery those rocks were. Shaking his head Kigu plastered his grin back on his face and nodded enthusiastically, "Don't worry! We'll do it together, since I know how to do it we'll be fine!" He giggled and wagged his tail happily at the thought of being about to share his great fun with someone who wasn't so scared all of the time.

Yunoko grins. "Alrights, but before we go running off. Is there anything that I should know about it? Or will you show me all of that when we get there." She wanted to go and learn this new things but also wanted to be sure that she was not missing something.

Kigu sat and nodded wildly, “I can explain it to you now! Well... there are these special trees… and if you hit them just right, a large sheet of bark just pops off! I used to use giant banana leaves, but those wore down too easily. Anyways, you start at the top of the hill and jump on top of the back and slide down! And there is this one really cool place, where if you go down you land in the water, so you can stop safely! This is one of my less dangerous stunts! No one who has ever gone with me has ever gotten hurt!” Kigu nodded with satisfaction, and stood up excitedly. "Is that all you need to know?"

Yunoko let everything he had said sink in. "Sounds simple enough. And it sounds you try to make it as fun as it can be without anyone getting hurt." She flicked her tail for a moment in thought. "Alright so where is this tree that gives off a good piece of bark?"

Kigu smiled and jumped around Yunoko, "Nope! No one gets hurt when they go sledding with me!!!" He chased his tail for a few moments in happiness and then fell over giggling, "The perfect spot is not to far from here. We just her to travel east of the river that is being fed by this here waterfall! Its in my territory, so I know exactly how to get there...!" He giggled once more and shook his head to clear it from the dizziness that he had gotten from chasing his tail.

Yunoko grins back. She couldn't wait to go sliding but her mind wandered to the area. This was his area meaning the dam that she had upset might be his aswell. But with a shake of her head she grins and starts to jump around Kigu now. "Well lets get going. No time to waste!"

With a nod to Yunoko, he spun around and faced away from the water. He sat back and coiled his muscles slightly before he sprang forward with a howl. Running at full speed he rushed head first into the trees and dodged his way through the underbrush. After a few moments he slowed suddenly to make sure Yunoko was still behind him, and he waited for any sign that she was there so he could spring forward at full speed once more.

Yunoko was quick to follow after him and when he slowed down to look back she shot by him with a grin. "Don't worry about me! I can keep up." She slowed down now that she was infront of him because she didn't know where they were going. Running was something she did alot when she was not trying to get into small spaces. Her aunt always liked to run, she heard this from her mother. So she wanted to some day beat her.

Kigu laughed loudly at himself for even thinking that Yunoko may have fallen behind. "Alrighty then!" he yelped before surging forward and running through the forest at top speed. Swerving through the trees and dodging boulders, Kigu new this place almost by heart. As he leaped over a felled log her took a sharp right and continued down a way before tiling his direction to the left again. After a while running, no one will really know how long, Kigu finally seemed to reach his destination and he stopped abruptly in a very small clearing amongst the trees. The trees formed rather small circle, and right in the middle there was a large pile of giant leaves and the trees look like they were peeling. "Welcome to the start of our journey! We now have to pick out the best piece of bark possible!" Kigu said out loud, having a feeling Yunoko might be right behind him and raring and ready to go.

Yunoko didn't know this area so she tried to keep sight of Kigu as they ran. she had lost sight of him a few times as he went around something but followed the sound of he steps and quickly found him again. She had to dart to the side to stop from running into him when he stoped suddenly. Looking around at the area she smiles widely. "Well what one would be the best? A thicker one or a larger thinner one?"

Kigu stopped jumping around for just a moment and plopped onto his hindquarters. "Thats an easy one! We want something that would just fit the both of us at the same time, so no part of us us hanging over. We don't want to get scratched up! And was want something a little flexible so it wont snap. Something like..." Kigu stood up once more and sniffed around the trees looking for a good one. He walked up to one tree and sniffed all around it before taking a few steps back and barking happily. "Like THIS one!" He yelped before lunging forward and slamming his head into the side of the tree. There was a large crack, and the tree shook for a moment. As Kigu stepped back a sheet of bark fell off the tree and landed with a "thunk!" Kigu quickly clambered over it and lay on top of it spreading his paws out and taking up all the space. "You have to flatten it or else it wont work!" After a few moment he stood up and the bark of the tree curled up a bit on the sides, but over all stayed it is semi curved shape. "Yes! I was right... this one is perfect!" Giggling to himself Kigu ran in a few circles, chasing his own tail before settling to the side and looking at Yunoko to see if she approved as well.

Yunoko laughs as she watches him running around the piece of bark. "I'm new to this but I would say that they lookes like it will do just great." She steps closer and peers at the bark for a moment before grinning. "I'm sure that after a while I will be able to pick out piece of bark as great as you can." She sat and thought for a moment then looked at Kigu for a moment. "What happens if the bark is curled a little? Will it not work at all or will it be harder to do things?" She wanted to know everything about this.

Kigu flopped onto his back and looked at Yunoko upside down, "I know the answer to that one too! The edges should curl up like that cause it'll keep us from falling out, and the middle should be curved like it is so that you can steer it easier by just leaning to one side or the other!" Kigu let his tongue flop out of his mouth, and it was actually long enough to touch his nose. Giggling he jumped to his feet and looked at Yunoko. "You're pretty when you think like that!" Laughing like a hyena and bounded forward into the trees and thrashed about for a moment before coming back. "The start of the hill cliff is right over there, just as I remember it! Are you ready or do you have some more questions?"

Yunoko was a little surprised at what Kigu said about when she thought. Laughing for a moment she grins. "I'm ready and willing!" She watches him for a moment before looking down at the bark for a moment remembering what it had to be like that and everything. It was always good to remember things that might be important.

Kigu laughing wildly and dragged the bark through the trees until he came upon the line he marked as the starting point. Ahead was a clearly marked trail through the trees, and in the distance down below would be seen the faint glimmer through the trees of a lake. He put his front paws on the back of the bark and point to it with his nose, "You should sit in the front, and I'll sit in the back since it is easier for my to steer that way..." With he a smile he waited for Yunoko to sit on the bark, all the time keeping it steady.
