Gaali's eyes narrowed as his grin widened. An air blast, huh? Good technique... he thought to himself as Sano drew close. But I've got moves too... what?

It suddenly was clear what Sano's goal was- a close-range fight. While Gaali had the idea of Taijutsu down and could easily hold his own in a fight, there was no way he could survive against Sano and his Pi Qua Quan- Gaali had seen him practicing it once on a wooden dummy, and when Sano walked away, there was a neat pile of firewood in its place. Of course, human bones and muscles are more durable to punishment than a wooden doll, but Gaali didn't want to be hit by those techniques all the same.

Spinning around counterclockwise, Gaali reeled in his left hand's wires. He also leaned in- it was something he had learned when he was younger: to disrupt techniques either get out of their range or get inside their effective range. As he leaned, he felt a slight impact on his head behind his right temple- no doubt, Sano's hand making contact. However, Gaali was already beginning to release his right hand's wires- as he came around, they whipped out. With luck, he had successfully avoided Sano's deadleg attack while getting back on the offensive.

Sano’s eyes lit up in surprise and eventually his expression formed that of a smirk as he realized what Gaali was doing. He watched as the capable fighter moved into Sano’s attack attempting to escape the thrust of his left arm. It was a smart move and an easy trade off for the skimming blow that Sano was able to make with what was originally his feint.

Sano began to realize what was Gaali’s true goals only almost too late into the movement. Sano didn’t want to give Gaali the chance to go on the offensive. As far as Sano knew Gaali didn’t have too many defensive capabilities, but for offense with those wires it was literally limitless. Sano was going to have to try and end it here. Sano kept in step with Gaali attempting to get in close even as he finished his spin. Sano then performed the necessary hand seals and said, “Doton Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu (Earth Element Inner Decapitation Skill).” Just as he began to sink into the earth and meld with it he attempted to grab Gaali. The original point of the jutsu was to sink first and then make their way over to the opponent before pulling them into the earth. However, Sano had decided to skip the first part and pull Gaali up to his head into the ground with the same motion of his own melding. Now Sano would have to see if it worked and even if he didn’t he had escaped the wires.

The wires shot through the area where Sano's body would have been... had he not used Earth Style Decapitation. "s**t!" Gaali's feet began sinking into the sand. By the time the jutsu was finished, Gaali was up to his neck in the dirt.

"Ah, you got me, Sano." He grinned even as he tried to move- he could just barely move, thanks to the nature of the sand around him. "It's your win this time. biggrin "

Sano found himself morphing back through the ground and on to the surface. He smiled triumphantly as his gaze moved down to the now trapped Gaali. His plan had worked though any longer and the fight could have really heated up. Sano smirked as he listened to Gaali mention his win and struggle a bit.

Sano bent over and used both his arms to help Gaali pull himself out of the sandy trap. Sano then said, “Don’t worry about it Gaali. I’ve had a bit more time to train and as far as I knew you didn’t have much in your arsenal yet unlike me.” Sano gave a reassuring head nod as he turned to watch what little of the battle between the new student and Miyuki had gone on since the start of their fight. Sano scratched the back of his head signifying his nonchalant attitude. As Sano did such the sleeves his arms rode down a bit and the small weights that he wore on his wrists could be better seen.

"True... and again with the wristweights?" Gaali dusted himself off as he got back on (mostly) solid ground. "So that's why you've got such a fast Pi Qua Quan." Reeling in his wires again, he looked to the fight still going on. "I'm gonna ask whoever our sensei is to teach me some Wind-type jutsu. I need something more than just taijutsu and Kinmei."

Shihasu smirked, breaking her hands free and tossing one kunai to the side. Using chakra strings of her own, she pulled the hidden wires off her wrist and set about trying to tangle them around Miyuki's ankles, still using one hand to parry kunai blows, planning on aiming at vital points with all her strength when she could find an opening.
Miyuki pushed against the girls kunai and jumped away before her feet became entangled in the wires. "By the way, whats your name?", Miyuki asked when she was safely away from the wires. Not waiting for an answer she created four clones and they began to circle the girl. Each clone pulled out five kunai and threw them at the girl, with wires attached to them trying to wind them around the girl, while the real Miyuki waited behind a boulder waiting to strike.

Shihasu tried to avoid the kunai, managing to evade some, but a few of them hitting her in her shoulder and legs, the rest tangling her in a web of wires. Due to her previous training, she didn't have enough chakra for any sort of effective electricity burst to stun the clones, so she simply held still, looking as happy as a freshly bathed cat.

"Fubuki Shihasu," she said calmly, feeling blood trickling down her leg and back, dreading the scolding she would get for the tears in her clothing.

The real Miyuki then came forward and stood in front of Shihasu, "and I'm Miyuki...hey I need to practice this new genjutsu I learned on someone, but don't be too afraid when you see it ok?", She said happy she was finally gonna get to try it out, she then made the hand signs and then muttered, "Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Jutsu)".

(This jutsu causes the target to see a horrifying vision. First, an imaginary swirl of sand will spin around and envelop the target, falling away shortly after. After a short period, the illusion will begin. This is to make the illusion more convincing, since the user will likely have moved before the illusion sets in. You can just make up what you see))

Shihasu raised a brow, wondering why she didn't just ask her to begin with. There was a sudden crawling sensation over her scalp, and the sand seemed to swirl around her and envelope her. There was a moment of panic as she was in total darkness, the distinct feeling of thousands of tiny arachnid legs swarming over her and of walls closing in around her made her breath hitch in her throat.

It's just genjutsu, it's just genjutsu
, she mentally screamed, trying to remember how to cancel it out. She wasn't at the skill level to cancel it with a jutsu, so the only other option was pain. She still had a kunai in her hand, and she flipped it around, sinking it into her hip. As white hot pain ripped through her body, the sand fell away, leaving her shaking and covered in a cold sweat.

She heaved a frustrated sigh, finally getting herself back under control, and raised her brow again, "You done?"

Miyuki nodded satisfied that her jutsu had worked. She quickly cut the wires around Shihasu. "You're okay right?".

"Fine," Shihasu replied, brushing off the wires and removing the kunai from her shoulder and legs, "Nice jutsu."

She turned her head as a black cat trotted leisurely over and sat, it's wide mouth opening in a raucous yowl, and Shihasu looked at the sun's position again, "I suppose it is time to go home. Thank you for the sparring session Miyuki."

She turned to leave, and as she walked by Sano and Gaali, she scowled at them, "What are you looking at?"

((I love hateful Shihasu 4laugh ))

Sano nodded his head a bit as he listened to Gaali bring up Sano’s wrist weights and how it had helped Sano reach such speeds with his Pi Qua Quan style. In truth it definitely had helped for the wrist weights weighed down his arms and made it harder form him to put them in a relaxed and flexible form above his head. Sano remained silent as his companion, Gaali, began to discuss his plans for learning some wind jutsus from their sensei, when they eventually got one.

Sano didn’t answer just at that moment, content in watching the ongoing battle between the two female shinobi. The battle was a brutal one and drew much more blood then the simple sparring match that he and Gaali had. Sano wasn’t against making his opponent bleed, but he preferred incapacitating his opponents to allow him just one strike to finish the match. Sano expression didn’t even change as the shinobi who lost passed both he and Gaali making a clearly frustrated and rude remark as she passed.

Sano paid the woman no mind as she made her way back towards the village instead turning back towards Gaali. Sano then said, “My Stepfather has a collection of wind jutsu scrolls at his disposal. Perhaps I can take a few say that they are for personal study and then let you take a look at them. My foster father would be displeased that I would be sharing his secrets, but I do believe that he will see it as being in his best interests if it means preparing my future teammate so that he can better keep me alive if need be.” Sano then gave his companion a confident smirk being quite truthful. There were very few people that Sano would go against his Stepfather for, Gaali was one of them.

"Are... Are you serious?" Gaali's eyes lit up with excitement. "That would be awesome! But wait..." He settled down for a moment. "You just said, 'would be displeased.' I don't want you doing anything that would get you in trouble." Gaali grinned. "Besides, I'm sure my dad can find somthing for me to use... when he gets home." Gaali shrugged. "He's always off doing stuff for the village, so when I see him next I'll ask him. In the meantime, if you can find a way without getting in trouble, I'd happily accept any help you can offer."
He turned his head to the girl as she walked by, and smirked. This'll be fun. "Your fight, if it wasn't apparent- though, I guess to some, it can be hard to comprehend." Gaali wasn't always for taunting girls, but this one seemed feisty, and pushing their buttons was always a good time for all.

((And so begins another "Sand brat", right, Lotus? biggrin ))

"I beg your pardon," Shihasu said, looking disdainfully at the shorter boy, "I don't speak shrimp."

She had paused and looked at him out of the corner of a heavily-lined eye over her shoulder, sizing him up. She cast a glance to Sano, and then looked back at Gaali, turning slightly so she wasn't giving him her full back.

((lol, perhaps. If I run out of short jokes. Though he may become Chibi, as that means runt 4laugh ))

Sano slowly began to nod his head glad that he could make his companion this excited about training. However, the joy was short lived as Gaali began to worry about the repercussions that Sano had hinted at. Honestly Sano would have been fine taking whatever his stepfather would give him for his punishment, but Gaali was never the type to use him regardless. Such was probably the reason that Sano had been able to stay so close to Gaali while others he generally kept his distance with. Sano decided to bury his the subject as Gaali discussed simply asking his father for help when the man returned from one of his missions.

Sano remained quite silent and still as Gaali suddenly made a comment to the female shinobi who had been on her way back to the village. Sano was a bit surprised that Gaali had made the comment, but only because he would never do such a thing. In fact Sano should have expected that his friend would have done something such as that, he always seemed to bring trouble to Sano. Sano remained calm as the female shinobi made her retort a jibe that was clearly aimed for Gaali referring to his height. He then watched as she began to make her way once more towards the village, her back not completely turned to them. Sano didn’t make a move, his face still emotionless. However, his hands did move to cup his sides, dangerously close to where he kept his poisoned senbon needles. At this point he was only waiting for Gaali to make his move. Such was just the way Sano reacted to a situation like this.
