 Sweetpea tends to come off as aloof and uncaring, when in reality he's really quite the opposite. From his precipice on the very edge of thing Sweetpea is able to take into account everything that is going down around him and evaluate with an objective eye. Of course, this has gotten easier in his older years, having learned from past experiences.
The fact of the matter is that once he has pin pointed you as a "good" soquili, he remains fiercely loyal. While he may not have the blind abandon that his mother does his intensity is no less fearsome.
Though he is a hopeless flirt. That is a big reason as to why he doesn't get upset with Giada when she flirts. He does the same thing. He is also a mature adult and can handle the fact that his mate does want to have a little fun. So long as it never goes beyond words, he doesn't see a problem with it.
All and all he's a really good guy.

 Sweetpea was born to Scarlet and Syipher along with his brother Ranulf. Unlike most families, Scarlet and Syipher did not set up home together, instead taking a basket each to their respective homes. And so Sweetpea grew up in the care of his mother, very much becoming a momma's boy. He sees nothing wrong with it. In fact he sees it as very honorable. After all, Scarlet did give birth to him. Because he didn't grow up around his brother and father, he never really felt a very strong loyalty towards them. This is in no way to fault of anyone, it is simply a fact of life, unfortunately.
