Intombi happily took up a spot behind Habu and next to Mtima, more than ready to chat until the goddess decided she had had enough of her. "Well, let's see. I'm not really sure how long. I've been here for a while, though. And I moved into the Pridelands when I was almost old enough to hunt for the pride." She nodded happily, trying to work out exact times as to when these two big events had happened. She remembered specifically joining the pride, the day it had officially happend and all, but she couldn't place it on a timeline. It probably had something to do with how much time she had spent here before actually joining. The things that happened before and after becoming a member sort of jumbled together sometimes, and she couldn't always remember if she had joined yet when some of those things happened.
"So, you lived in the Pridelands before, right? Where were you before all that? Or are you from here...?" It seemed that most, of not all, of the Pridelanders she talked to were born right here, and had stayed right here. It wasn't something she usually asked, but considering Mtima had asked about her own life in the Pridelands, Intombi figured she'd return the gesture.

Mtima walked along at the same pace as Intombi, happy to have a pleasant little chat with her and to learn whatever she could about her son's friend. This was only the second friend of Habu's she'd met, and she wouldn't say she didn't like Kubwa, but their meetings had not been under the most perfect of circumstances, the poor boy.
"Ah, so you were a rogue," Mtima assumed, though her tone was kept cheery and friendly. Of course she assumed rogue, since Intombi did not mention another pride before this one. "Yes, I lived in the Pridelands for quite some time myself. Before that I lived near a Jungle quite a distance away from here, I watched over a pride with my brothers before it dispersed. Some of it's descendants have actually made it to this pride."
Habu happily led the way, listening to their conversation. He knew quite a bit about his mother's past, when he was young those were the first visions he'd had, and because of that they had discussed it. He didn't know too much about the whereabouts of the former pride's members or progeny, though, and he was surprised to hear that from his mother now.
"The first visions I had when I was little were about that pride, and Mama and one of her brothers," he added conversationally, tossing that in there as a bit of personal information that might interest Intombi. When he reached the den, he sat down and made himself comfortable.

Intombi continued to smile, nodding her head. "Yes, I was a rogue." She moved into the den and plopped down a few paces from Habu. Her front legs crossed in front of her, and she couldn't help but look over her little toe markings. She really did like those things, especially when they were freshly groomed. After a moment of admiring, she snapped her attention back on the conversation. "The Jungle? There must be something about the Jungle that makes critters want to come out to the Pridelands." She paused to get in a little giggle. "I've met a leopardess and a lioness from there, and now you." Why Intombi found this ironic was anyone's guess, since a lot of lions and even more leopards had some tie to the Jungle.
"Really?" She cast a glance at Habu. The whole visions thing had taken while to get used to, that was for sure. There were still days when she found the whole thing to be too weird to think about, but considering the current situation, it wasn't all that odd.

Mtima was happy to settle opposite Intombi and Wahabu, taking a seat and wriggling only a moment to make her wings more comfortable on her back. She smiled at Intombi at the mention of the jungle, "Well, there are several jungles not all too far from here. You can't be sure it's all the same, and of course there are different parts of it. Though I was staying in a nearer jungle for a little while before I came back here, not too long ago."
She glanced over to Habu when he mentioned his visions, she knew this well enough because he'd told her all about them when he was young.
"I've been to a jungle," Habu commented offhandedly, remembering the one trip he had taken out of the Pridelands. It, of course, had been with his mother. They'd flown a bit, but walked a lot too. They'd met someone who'd been most excited to see a goddess, too. At Intombi's question and glancing over at him, he only smiled and nodded to confirm what he'd said.

Intombi nodded after Mtima explained, and it all made a bit more sense to her now. Especially since she had met both a lioness and a leopardess from the jungle, and the leopardess had mentioned not many lions being there and not liking them. "Ah, I see. I never went that far away, to be honest. I just ran around nearby the Pridelands territory. My mom's den was near the borders." Why her mother had stayed so near the Pridelands but never joined was beyond Intombi. Really, for all she knew, her mom HAD been in the big PL, just not when she was a cub. Maybe her mom had been like her, and had played with PL cubs and rogue cubs alike when she was just a little thing. Except, where Intombi moved on to join the pride, her mother chose to stay outside of it. She could sort of understand a decision like that. There were times when Intombi felt the need to roam. It was always calmed by a day of walking around the territory, though. Once in a blue moon, she won't so far as to go to the borders.
"Must be pretty there. The lioness I met, she told me there were lots of flowers. She even had one with her." Intombi stared at her paws again, but this time she wasn't so much admiring them as she was spacing out.

"Travel is not for everyone," Mtima said brightly nodding when Intombi said she'd never gone that far away from the Pridelands, "It is very beautiful in the Jungle, one of my favorite places to go sometimes I think. But not everyone has the desire to travel far." She glanced over at Habu, from what she knew of her son, he was perfectly happy to stay where he was. She didn't really blame him, but Mtima enjoyed the change of pace every once in awhile.
"I think it's wonderful here," she said, taking a look around, "I was originally drawn to the life that's here, how lively and happy everyone seems to be.. it's a wonderful pride."
As if on cue, when Mtima looked at him, Habu knew exactly what she was getting at. He grinned at the pair of them, nodding to show his agreement on the comment. He really was happy to stay in the Pridelands, though he was very happy he'd gone to see it with his mother when he was young. It was one of his best memories.
"I'm perfectly happy to stay here," he commented.

Intombi's eyes brightened a little at the discussion of the Pridelands. She really did like this place. After all, she had chosen to live here. It was apparent she liked it. "I like that, too. And how often you meet new lions." Out in the rogue lands, Intombi ran into fellow lions only every once in a while. Now, though, she couldn't even go get a drink without seeing someone! It really was thrilling.
After a few moments, Intombi's stomach started growling. She looked around at the other two, checking if they had heard. After a second rumble, she knew there was no chance they couldn't tell she was hungry. She smiled apologetically and eyed the mouth of the den. She could always... leave Habu and Mtima to catch up and go get them lunch, right?

"It'd be quite impressive if someone was able to learn who every single lion here was," Mtima commented thoughtfully, wondering how the Royals did it. Her thoughts were interrupted by the soft rumble from Intombi's stomach, and she glanced back over to the lioness with a small smile before looking over at Habu. Perhaps, she decided, it would be best for her to take her leave instead of keeping them longer. After all, she was the surprise guest.
"Perhaps I should be on my way," she said.
Habu glanced over at Intombi, then back to his mother when she suddenly said she was going to leave- it immediately drew him to his feet. He didn't want her to go again, but.. he knew she wouldn't stay here. He relaxed a bit, though he stayed on his feet.
"Will you come and visit more?" he asked hopefully, then remembered what he'd wanted to ask her, "Oh! Mama, I was wondering if you could maybe help us with something.. Kiwi, my aunt, she's gone missing. I have this feeling she's OK, I know she is.. but could you keep an eye open for her?"

Intombi rose along with him and smiled warmly. "If you'd like to stay longer, I wouldn't mind, and I know Habu wouldn't." She really wouldn't have minded leaving the pair to talk on their own for a while. "I could go get us some lunch, maybe?" Seeing as the goddess had already said she was going to go, though, she wasn't totally certain she could change her mind.
Intombi connected Kiwi to Riko and immediately felt sorry for the poor boy all over again. She'd yet to be seperated from someone who she really, really cared for, so she wasn't too sure she could completely emphathize. She had, however, left her mom and brother at a fairly young age, so she knew at least a little bit about what it was like to be cut off from family. Even if she wasn't all that close to them.

Mtima smiled warmly at Intombi, but shook her head politely, "That's very kind of you, but I'm the one intruding unannounced." She looked over at Habu, knowing how he might feel about her trying to leave- but she smiled reassuringly.
"Now that I know where to find you," she said, "I'll drop by on occasion." She didn't know how often it would be, or if she could manage where she was still rather anxious about seeing her family age.. She allowed herself to trail off in her thoughts until Habu suddenly asked for her help, drawing her back to him.
"I can't make any promises," Mtima said carefully, "But I'll watch for her, what does she look like?"
Habu was somewhat hopeful when Intombi tried to get Mtima to stay, but he did his best to hide his disappointment that she wasn't going to stay any longer. He only nodded, glancing at Intombi before looking back at his mother.
"I'll walk you a little ways whichever way you're going, and describe her," he offered, then looked at Intombi with a smile, "Then I'll be back and we'll go find something to eat." With that, he waited for his mother to point him in the right direction to walk.

Intombi smiled warmly, but somewhat sadly. She knew Habu would've wanted his mom to stay longer, and she wanted what would make him happy. "Well, if you're sure. Hopefully we'll meet again." She nodded her head in a goodbye, but suddenly decided the occasion called for a bit more than that. Reaching out with her neck, she nudged the goddess's cheek gently, but quickly pulled back. After all, they had only just met.
Looking over at Habu, she nodded her understanding. "Alright, take your time." She cast a glance over the den and decided she could move around the dirt clods again, since they always found their way out into the open. Or, she might even push them right out of the den this time. You never know what Intombi might do in the middle of a cleaning frenzy.

Mtima got to her feet, giving a final nod of farewell to Intombi, smiling at her, "It was a pleasure to meet you, Intombi. I do hope to see you again." She beamed, looking at her son and turning to lead the way herself this time. She was a very proud mother, especially right now.
Wahabu beamed as Intombi and Mtima said their farewells, and nodded to Intombi before striding over to his mother's side to walk with her- blushing slightly under the strange beaming. And so, with his mother he walked a short ways from the den, describing Kiwi so she could watch for her and saying his goodbyes before she flew away.
