The fox kept on walking as Nanu felt him slip away.. When he finally made his hault she turned to him.. Feeling his head upon her neck. This.. Was a goodbye? No.. this cant be it.. She nuzzled against him.. And when he sat.. This was it.
Her ears slicked back.. As she found herself. At the pack's border.. Her small heart fell into her stomach.. and her eyes showed almost the saddest emotion one could ever behold.. She softly edged to him.. and nipped his neck a bit.. Pulling him towards the pack line.. Then she tried nipping at his ear.. Then his muzzle..
When the words ~ 'will not forget you'~ flowed through her ears.. She slowly backed away.. As she sat in front of him. The trees with markings and the invisible line between them.. She couldn't help but to feel torn.. If she weren't a princess she would be out and about.. and could see all the friends.. and had to make the harsh goodbyes with.
A few steps in the fox turned.. Seeing Nanu and Gin in her sights.. Seeing Nanu look so sad.. made her heart thump.. in a sore.. But. It had to be done. Those two were too different and the pack that she was the oldest of the litter. She would inherit first.. and that was the ironic part. Then.. with a little wait for them to say their goodbyes.. She walked over to them.. and softly put her paw on Nanu's shoulder.. The fox seemed to be so much bigger than nanu.. and She felt the taring when the fox touched her.. Then edged her on. And Nanu slipped away and threw her arms around Gin's neck. Sniffling and rubbing her nose against his neck. Why.. Did she always have to lose friends.. Why could'nt she just keep them close.. But he said he'd visit.. and in her mind... She believed in him to the fullest. She let out a soft noise of a crying break in voice.. As she felt the fox's maw take her by the back of her neck.
Gently pulling her away and Nanu's grip loosened.. Her pale blue eyes showed.. Tears running down them.. She hated goodbyes.
