Rory tottered over to where Chris and the others were. She, too, didn't know many people and was attempting to look not shy, and only looked a bit more miserable. But she manged a wave to Wisp.

On her walk over, she also noticed the girl with metal legs. Now, her mama and Chris both looked different than other people she had seen. So this, too, was taken in stride. She wasn't nearly as reactive to it, as Casia was.

Then the flowery girl explained things. Jace? Did she know that name? Without much thought to it, she took a seat near Chris - he was singing and she liked his singing. She was curious how the other girl would react now.

"Thanku," Carlisle said politely to Xi. "Thanku thanku thanku misser." Carefully (he didn't want to make the nice man get covered in spots like his, especially not angry red ones that he imagined had little bits of scratchy paper on the ends like thumbtacks only scratchy instead of hurty) he took the open juicebox and took a sip. He smiled at Xi and returned his attention to the older children in the corner, listening quietly to their conversation.

Irelia growled deep in her throat, more annoyed with her Pox now that she had gotten her breath back. Biking while sick was not the best idea, and Irelia's legs were sore and red, inflamed while biking.

Turning towards Kisala and Jace, Irelia scowled.

"Alright, I'm all up for leaving this popsicle stand; Exactly WHEN did the baby boom happen?"

Irelia had never met most of the kids there, nor was she willing to meet any of them. Chris looked cool though he was still a baby.

Irelia watched the adults, most of them more concerned with the wailing babies than the older girls in the corner, but still darting glances at the both of them. Their reputation preceded them.

"Ugh, they won't be distracted long enough for us to get away cleanly. We need a distraction."

Irelia scoured the daycare, wondering who they could use for their own purposes. Chris was too nice, the babies were too little, and Harper was nowhere to be found.

"Damn it," Irelia said, her cursing more prevalent around Jace; she was a person to try and impress, "Who the heck can we use to distract them?"

Irelia smirked.

"Unless you got a better idea."

Chris yawned mid-song, messing up the rhythm. "I sleepy," he agreed. "I itchy, too," he said, pouting once again. "Does white stuff help?" he asked, looking for the lotion.

Nataya smiled at Delilah. "M'kays..." she said, nodding. She yawned a little, the laid down on the floor, using her plum as a pillow. She patted at a couple of the itchy bumps, then looked at Chris. "White stuff?" she asked, having no idea what he was talking about at all.

Casia still watched Jace, lips pursed in hesitation. She carefully and slowly picked up a juice box (grape, her favorite!), before dropping it. Her palms were all sweaty; she figured Jace had some sort of secret weapon in her legs. She always thought everyone was out to get her. It was just SO hard being a siren!

"Ah!" she croaked, quickly kneeling down to pick it up. She scrambled past Jace, still quite scared of the girl (who was now talking to another one with ram horns), and ran back to the huddled group of children that were her friends. She flopped down next to Nataya, whimpering.
"Scary big peoples," she said, nodding furiously. Casia then grabbed the straw and pulled it off the box, before fumbling with the plastic. How did you work these things, anyway?!

"Not so scary," Rory said, tilting her head slightly to the feathered winged one's comment. "Just diff’ent. Chris diff’nt too. I diff’ent. No got wings." Not that it seemed to bother her.

Then she smiled at both Nataya and Casia as she spread the white stuff that spilt on her thanks to Chris. It had felt good, and she wanted it else where. "I Rory. 'llo."
