Colonel_J_Carden FWIW You know, I'd love to see some of these civilians try to do our jobs. i would agree but our country would be ******** up if we let them try on there own so so true! i know tons of ppl that have dissed me or mocked me for joining but it'ss all good because i have a family that supports me my unit! and family thats all i need so they can mock me all they want! i also would like to see civi's perform our daily military life style not reserve side but the whole shibang! she how many s**t there pants and respect ya then but that would kill us all in the end anyways.

Okay it f*cking pisses me off when I walk by in my uniform and some people call ******** the Military!" or something along those lines. they dont f*cking know that we're the ones keeping them safe. and if you burn a flag when I'm around, I will shove their head so far up their a** that they'll choke on their f*cking nose

I hate when civilian women think that all girls in here are abused by guys and that they get pregnant through rape.
Many military girls get preggo on purpose to avoid certain type of duty (battlefield, sea duty, long deployments, etc), and I know tons of those at my command: three in the six weeks I've been in this command, but only one in the nine weeks I was in my previous command.
Sexual assault? many cases are made up.

Sadly the military has been demonized lately and as a result people have lost track of the price that was paid for their freedoms. It's worse with my generation (I'm eighteen) because many of them are very ignorant and have negative views on the military solely based on what the media shows.
I finally made the decision on which branch of the military I'm going to join (Coast Guard; AST or DC) and told my friends about it the last time I was in my home town and, though most of my friends supported me, there were a few that looked at me and said I was "stupid" for wanting to join. It wasn't until I told them what branch and rate I wanted to choose that they suddenly said, "oh yeah! That's real cool, good luck to you." All I could say was "what the hell?! You'll support my decision to join the Guard but not anyone in the Army, Marines, or any other branch?" The answer I got was the most revolting thing I've ever heard, all they said was, "it's because you aren't going into the military to kill people." I swear I was on the verge of knocking one of them out. I could care less if people don't support what the military is doing, but when they refuse to support the people all because of what is happening then that just infuriates me.
Sorry about that, just felt like going on a rant.
