Orgrim Doomhammer Pulling his blade back to him, Tai parried the incoming blow from Raul, using one hand to do so. It was odd that the weilder of 'Dusk' was having this much trouble in offering a decent challenge.
Perhaps he is just like the other humans...
This was the thought running through Tai's head as he thrust 'Meiringan' forward, sending Raul and his sword back to where they were previously standing. This gave him enough room and time to swing once more, again striking at his opponent's chest. It was a diagonal swing, which would be difficult, he supposed, for the apparently weakening paladin to counter.
Trying to deflect the swing, Raul miscalculated the timing, the Meiringan cutting a rather deep gash upon the Paladin's upper left pectoral. The blow sent Raul staggering upon his feet, wobbling as he clutched his profusely bleeding chest. Though heavily injured, he was still...smirking...the Holy Knight breathing heavily as he smiled at the monster in front of him.
This is it Astal...I finally met my match..........
With both hands, Raul raised Dusk high above his head as he jumped upward, using up all his remaining strength to slam the blade at Tai's staring face...

Tai's grin faded quickly as he saw how desperate the man was, and the amount of power he put into the swing. As the blade came smashing down upon his face, it cut right through the helmet from right above the left eye, straight down to the chin. His head, with all the momentum of the strike, went downward with the blade, fortunately causing less damage than if it had stayed the way it was, but still leaving his face quite hidden in a veil of red. Pieces of black metal from his helmet clattered to the ground, stained with blood.
"Ack!" He cried, gripping the left side of his face, "Damn!"
He struck out blindly, swinging this way and that, in an attempt to buy more time for him to recover from the devastating blow.

And here I thought I was gonna die...
Raul thought with satisfaction as he dodged the fiend Tai's feeble attempts to fend him off, merely ducking and side-stepping out of Meiringan's edge as Tai blindly thrusted and swiped at the Paladin.
Raul then readied his own weapon, placing both of his hands now upon the hilt of Dusk as he attempted to finish the fight, slicing vertically from the ground up, the blade dragging on the dirt as it threatened to disembowel the wielder of Meiringan...

((Oh my God, man! That's like the end of Tai before he got started in the RP! Imagine how this'll look in a comic book...the main antagonist...dies within the first few minutes of showing up. xd ))
Regaining his vision, Tai was unpleasantly surprised to see that Raul had not been so badly wounded as he had thought, and was now launching yet another attack. This one was far too powerful to gaurd against, and much faster than he would have liked, resulting in him being sliced from the belly up. He winced as 'Dusk' exited his left shoulder. A fountain of blood spouted from the wound and he fell to his knees. Only with his will not to die here, did he thrust Meiringan forward, raising his head to see where it struck, if it did.

[LOL well he dont have to die here, let's just say he got knocked out or brutally wounded razz and seeing that he is in fact a demon he just heals once more since the weapon that 'killed' him isn't the 'right' Holy Weapon (there is 4 btw razz )]

He was grazed, deeply upon the left side, but not enough to kill the Paladin right away, just enough though to send him walking away from the equally gravely wounded monster.
He staggered away from Tai, using his gigantic sword as a crutch to try and get help for his profusely bleeding wounds, calling out for the awe-struck Kalasin to go and get help in the nearby town.

POD_AngelOfDestruction *** "Oh ummm...", knowing he was caught staring, Raphael gulped in embarassment, only to resume his normally fiery attitude, "Well thief I have a question to ask you...would you happen to know about the Black Knight?" She had been wrong; truly, this idiot of a man knew more than she'd given him credit for. "I have heard the name," she said slowly, her fingers tracing the silver hilt of her rapier at her hip. "What does it matter to you?"

Relaxing himself, Raphael continued the interrogation, finally letting go of his own rapier's hilt as he asked, "Well I need to know his whereabouts or where he was last seen.....", then with a bitter hiss he added, "I need to cut is head off and stick it on a pike for the insult he have done to my master......."

Before he knew what was going on past the fight, Tai dropped Meiringan, and collapsed in a pool of blood. He was not dead, as the weapon used by the paladin wasn't the right blade for the job, but nevertheless, he was unmoving. This would surely buy him time, to recover, from further attacks.

The mercenary cocked an eyebrow, still nonchalantly tracing her weapon's handle, her other hand idle at her side. "Oh?" She took a step forward, closing the distance between herself and the Italian. Her pale eyes almost seemed to glow in the eerie moonlight above Pairis. "I may be able to help you. It just depends on how much you're willing to pay..." She leaned forward on the balls of her feet, her lips so close to the man that she nearly kissed him. She didn't, though, and whispered instead in his ear, "Just ask for Renegade and you'll find me."
And with that, she was gone, firing off her grappling device and swinging through the maze of buildings into the night.

Blushing as Raphael realized the beautiful mercenary almost kissed him, he was left wide-eyed as Sly vanished in the rooftops and into the night. "B-bu-but wait! Where do I find.......", then blinking profusely as if he have just seen an apparition, he gulped before continuing, "...Renegade..."
Left with even more questions than answers, Raphael turned the opposite direction, heading towards the local bar in hopes of finding the one named Renegade, the one who might have answers to his questions...

Sly smirked to herself as she glided along on the wind, suspended only by the device snapped onto her wrist. She deftly dodged looming steeples and chimneys until she was safely on the roof of her apartment in the heart of the city. She figured that the best way to hide someone everyone is looking for was in the middle of where everyone else was. She still had yet to be located.
That being said, she was doubly surprised when she inserted her key into the lock of her door to find it already open. She pursed her lips, drew her rapier, and walked in with ease through the door, knowing whoever had found her had exerted too much care in doing so to ambush her in her own home.
Sitting on her couch was a carefully groomed Japanese aristocrat, flanked on either side by a masculine bodyguard. Sly shut the door behind her and approached the offending furniture. "There are other ways to get my attention than breaking into my home," she said tersely. "But now that you're here, you have it anyway. Tell me what you want and how much you'll pay."

Fanning himself with a tradtional Japanese fan, the nobleman yawned as he paused his hand that held the heirloom, closing it carefully in a graceful, slow manner as he focused his painted dark eyes to the young mercenary.
In thickly accented but otherwise perfect English, the Japanese replied to Sly, "Well mercenary I am here to offer you a hundred thousand euros for the head of the a certain fly upon my nose....", then with a crinkle of his eyes as if in disgust, he continued, "You may have heard of the great Japanese hero Ryosuke Miura? If so, it shouldn't be hard for you to recognize him...if not, he is still quite easy to find considering he is currently bound here coming from Scotland, the only Japanese male probably in the whole of Europe besides me to be travelling around here..."
The aristocrat then turned to his burly bodyguard, nodding at him once, with the samurai quickly throwing towards Sly a bag filled with gold coins. "That is exactly 50,000 euros for now, the rest comes after you have brought me the head of that gutless pig, I do not care how long it takes for I know Ryosuke is quite the skilled warrior and a tough kill...", then with a smirk, the made-up Japanese finished, "Do we have a deal then Ms. Sly?"

Sly's eyes followed the trajectory of the bag until it landed at her feet. She mentally calculated the amount and deemed it satisfactory, looking back up at the nobleman with uttermost neutrality. "We have a deal." She stepped forward and plucked the snapshot the other henchman held out to her from his hands, studying the face of her subject and recognizing it almost instantly. She looked back up at her employer and nodded for further confirmation. "Yes, indeed, we have a deal. Now, if you wouldn't mind getting out of my house so I may prepare for this task." She still held her unsheathed rapier in one hand, but with the other she reached back and opened her apartment door. "And lock the door as you leave." * Sly tilted her chin up to the cascade of hot water raining down from her shower faucet. With a bar of soap in one hand and a washcloth in the other, she proceeded to work a generous lather on her body, her eyes closed in thought. 'Ah, Ryosuke...my first and last failure...'
*** The first light of the morning filtered in through a slit in Sly's curtains, shining softly on Sly herself. The mercenary was already in uniform, her shoes by the door and her arsenal belt on the bed beside her. She sat on the mattress, legs crossed, and continued sharpening her rapier. The blades of her kama gleamed beside her, already sharpened to deadly perfection. After nearly two hours of relentless stroking of the blade, Sly sheathed it and her other weapons, strapping on her belt. She stuffed her mask in her knapsack and slung that over her shoulder, shoving her feet in her boots and locking the door behind her as she left to find Ryosuke, the one everyone seemed to want dead.
