The flute is Wolstoncraft. My piccolo and trumpet don't have names other than 'my baby'
3.What chair?
1st picc (heck yes!), 5th flute (Though I'm pretty sure I could at least fourth, maybe third.), 3rd trumpet
4. What classification does your BD rank under?
Crazy strict. Few people actually like him as a person, but we learn a ton with him.
5.How many in your section?
3 piccolos, 5 flutes, 3 trumpets
6. What brand Instrument?
Gemienhardt piccolo, Armstrong flute, Yamaha trumpet
7. Hardest song ever played?
Flute/picc -- something in the back of my folder my BD finally gave up on.
Trumpet -- whatever we're playing in jazz band. X( I've only been playing a year!
8.Middle or high school?
High.
9. Band geek family?
Kinda. My dad hasn't a clue but my mom's excited and my brother just started percussion.
10.Band love?
Band crushes yes, no success yet though.
11. Inside jokes of band??
Flootloops, clarinet hookers, a million things about our BD, Shafer the Riverdancing Nazi Trombone, floppy hand, plume rape... the list goes on and on.
12.If you could, what color would your insrtument be?
Piccolo -- no change. 'tis perfect.
Flute -- same, but with a gold lipplate.
Trumpet -- silver, instead of my hodgepodge of two different shades of brass and a bit of silverish tarnish. It's quite old.
13. Are you involved in anything outside of band with your instrument?
Outside of band class but with school: Marching band (picc), jazz band (trumpet), pit orchestra (picc/flute).
Other: Solo & Ensemble festival (flute), Kidz Klez Band (flute/picc/trumpet)

ON my instrument?! No no no. Case, yes.

Flute -- one or two small dents, a few scratchs. No stories particully. I take good care of my baby.
Piccolo -- scratches, but incurred before I got it. I bought him secondhand.
Trumpet -- several dents and scratches, again before I got her. (most of them, anyway.)
16.Do you look good while you play your instrument?
I don't really know... I think I look fine, although maybe a little out of proportion with the piccolo.
17. Best compliment for your playing?
My BD telling me I'm the best piccolo in the school when I was a sophomore, beating out a senior, a junior, and two other sophomores. I'm the Principle Picc!!!
18. Weirdest instrument you've ever seen?
Contrabass flute. Also the coolest instrument I've ever seen.
19.Tap your foot?
Anytime I hear anything that has anything remotely resembling a beat.
20.Least liked section?
Percussion. Stevie, you're fine; Teddy Bear Goth Pants, you know I love you; Jess, you're awesome; but the rest of you, grow up!!!

Hmm... I am in every advanced class, getting almost straight A's, and I love to read... yeah, definitely a geek. But also a hardcore band geek.

Yes. Well, my marching flute (the Emerson one, Flutey). It has a dent in the head joint that I don't know the story behind, and it also has a dent that got fixed in the little part that's not shown that slides the middle joint into the foot joint. It fell out of the case because the glue fell off of it on the inside or something, popping the case open, and forcing the flute down to the ground. Unfortunately, this also happened the day of a concert. D:

Erm...I dunno. Not marching, at least. Haven't seen any *real* pictures of me playing since sixth grade. Jazz pictures don't count. I had my hair down.

Uhhh...no, not really any, although my tuba "adoptive big brother" said that I'd be in the hecka awesome A Jazz shortly. I beg to differ, but yeah. xD

Concert is a black dress for girls and a tux for guys. Jazz is nice clothes for girls...and whatever the director says for guys (sometimes a suit, sometimes just a shirt, etc.). Marching is the marching uniform!

i hated the pit section sooo much. Because the battery was put into the pit and they didn't want to be there. Come concert band time though, I enjoyed it... because some of them enjoyed playing clarinet.

Not many people actually fall off of their chairs. In marching band though Chris' pants fell down (during practice of course) and he had to march to the last set with his pants around his ankles.

i'm really good and i should skip a level of NYSMA solo (NYSMA is a state wide thing where you play a solo for a music director and they rate you, if you get high enough you get put in a specail county wide band)

One dent on the middle ring, several scratches on the bell and barrel, from regular use and the stupidity that was the first and last time I tried to use a flip folder back in 8th grade.

Which instrument? When I sing, I look graceful and joyous. On my electric guitar, I look bad-a**! On my acoustic, I look thoughtful and emotional. It depends.

Eh, the usual. Mostly, I get "Wow! I can't sing like that!" Or "I wish I could play the guitar..." Oh yeah! Don't forget "You should go on American Idol!" That one never gets old.

This little wooden instrument that's related to a clarinet and an oboe. I think it comes from Japan, or so I learned from the kid who whipped it out and started playing it in my physics class one day.

Soprano II. It's the part I sing, but It's the most boring part to sing. Other than that, electric keyboard. At the music school I went to, the keyboards didn't know how to play, for the most part. They kinda sucked.

Well, I like this quiz, but I find myself stretching to actually answer the questions because I was never in BAND band, Y'know.

I don't hate it. Soprano II was just a little boring at times. It was more fun when I got to sing Soprano I or Alto. They always have cooler parts! And besides, who hates playing guitar?

I think I'm a little of both. I do love music and I was the only one in my theory class who actually liked ear training, but then again, I'm a geek when it comes to anime and the Disney channel. Heehee! Yeah, I'm both.

Not too long. Probably about 2 or 3 minutes. Take the guitar out of the case, put on the strap, plug her into the amplifier, make sure she's in tune, and you're ready to go! It takes even less time on the acoustic. I don't usually warm up my voice except when I was in chorus class.

This one girl in my chorus once accidentally flipped her chair backwards. We were on risers and she was on the back row. (They were built into the floor, so she didn't fall very far at all.) There was dead silence, then all of a sudden.. ::THUMP:: There she was on her back with her feet in the air... (sounds kinda vulgar...) It was so funny!
