The brush at Nivriti's side that Althalus gave lingered long, and she tingled, giving a gentle smile in return.
'Well yes, I think I said the same thing to you..and if I didn't impress upon it enough, I am perfectly happy with your company.' she giggled. 'So you like me. I like you. We're talking and it's enjoyable. I think when we part today it with be with a mutual consent, and possibly with a promise to meet at another time soon?' she framed the end of her sentence as a question, but she hoped that it would be a given that they would find each other again after today.
'I'd like that very much, I think I'd like to see where you grew up. I enjoy exploration, and the thrill of seeing the new.' she would certainly take him up on his invitation at the earliest opportunity. Her nose coloured again, but she ignored it, knowing it would happen now every time he complimented her in some way. 'You think? Well, I've met a few outside my immediate family but not so many as you. I spend my time on the wing, it gets difficult to carry on a conversation up near the clouds.' she quipped, with a twinkle to her eyes. 'I'm glad that I was near the ground today though. Well, glad that I chose to perform my little tricks'

Althalus almost beamed at his companion's words, though he had heard them reiterated once before. Still, the stallion couldn't help but hope that Nivriti truly meant what she said about being perfectly happy with his companionship. The sunset male wished to spend the rest of the afternoon and evening with her, but part of him came to understand that he was probably smothering her. Never had he wanted to make a more memorable first impression, and yet, he had to be careful. . . . He had scared others away from being over zealous and endearing; it would probably be best if he soon took his leave. Though she seemed to reciprocate his kindness, he didn't want to risk overwhelming her so soon.
No.
He wanted to make sure this relationship was carefully cultivated and not rushed or pushed or too soon taken away. Odd for him to think so carefully over what was a potential friendship. . . . part of the male wondered what was wrong with him! He was acting just like he did around his friends and any other mare . . . and yet, a small part of him wasn't. Oh, pish posh, now was not the time to worry about it. Or was it?
Wait - she was talking. Listen. . . listen! Silver gaze refocusing upon the cream touched brown wind, Althalus gave a small chuckle and fervent nod. "You see," he drawled, giving a small shrug, "You have put me in the most precarious of positions, m'lady. For here I stand quite enjoying myself, and yet part of me wishes to be away. NOT," he hastily added, "because of boredom or lack of appreciation for my company, far from it! But because the sooner I am away, the sooner I might make good on my word and have the excuse to seek you out."
It didn't make sense. Not in the least. For he already was graced with her companionship now so why jeopardize that? Ah, but this day was becoming more and more intriguing. Eyes sparkling in good humor, the sunset male was pleased that someday he would make sure to escort her back to his homelands and introduce her to all of his beloveds left behind; Aiolos, Caely, Yei and Grencia and his handful of siblings! "Consider it a date then!" He grinned, pawing at the ground to stomp his approval. "Someday, somewhere, I shall introduce you to my stomping grounds, and shall give you the most glorious tour of the hillsides and mountains." He'd hate take her far out of her comfort zone, but she already admitted a joy for exploration and thrill of seeking out the new. . . .it would be a grand adventure!
"And I am eternally grateful I happened to be struck by thirst at such an opportune time. To think I might have missed out on meeting a wonderful mare such as yourself. . . " He clucked his tongue, shaking his head at that future of ignorance and unknown regret. "Today has been most fortuitous indeed."
((I apologize for his dullness in doing anything. I keep trying to get him to draw their conversation to a close so as not to dull you to tears. .. and he keeps refusing. x3 Though I hope you know he's going to want to harass your Nivriti as soon as this RP does come to a close. ))

(( Heh that's fine, I was trying to find a way for Nivriti to edge out of it without him thinking she was fed up with him XD And that would be cool, he could bump into Niv and her mother ^_^ ))
Nivriti smiled at him, intrigued by the mutual understanding that seemed to have sprung up during this first meeting. She could probably stroll for a long time more this day, without even talking, just content to be in his company, but if they parted...why then they would meet again, and most likely with more to talk about.
'So, Althalus, sir,' she replied, teasing a little as he'd addressed her as 'm'lady'. 'You shall find me again..and if you don't, I will come seeking you. I think that's agreed.' she chuckled. 'And when we meet again, we might walk upon your colt-hood lands, and I can meet those in your life.' her wings opened, with a lazy sweep, a stretch of the muscles, the pinion feathers spreading before she folded them again.
She looked at the firey coloured grounded and wondered what the etiquette for parting with a newly befriended stallion was. She bowed her head, one foreleg going out straight before her and gave an elegant dip. 'Until we meet again then.' she said, standing upright once more, staying safe and keeping to very good manners. She might have pressed her nose against his shoulder in a small gesture of affection, but wasn't feeling bold enough for such a move yet.

((Well, shall we call this a wrap then? n_n Althalus will be more than happy to meet Niv and her mother. . . . and it will keep him from getting in trouble with any meandering Kalonas!))
So it seemed that the pair would be parting ways. A pity . . . but a delight all the same! He'd have to restrain himself from visiting too soon, but meander for a few days before seeking her out. He didn't want to wait too long and have her believe he was not inclined to meet her again, but to push himself too soon might be overwhelming.
Besides, a little time away would allow him time to think! To mull over this new discovery of friendship, and then some, and to see if his thoughts changed without the mare present. A few days away would do him well, and allow him to investigate the surrounding land further. But he'd best be careful - kalona lurked nearby and he didn't yet wish to leave the realm of the living! Not with a lovely lady he might get to introduce to his family someday. . . .
The world was suddenly becoming a little bit more pleasant, which was something Althalus never could imagine happening! And all because of a beauty named Nivriti. . . . his friend. New friend. Friend.
Refocusing his attention back on the mare in question, he smiled and offered her a bow all his own. "Rest assured I will seek you out. . . But please, fare well m'lovely lady. Until we meet again. . . " Silver eyes looked up to take in her figure and commit it to memory. That would be all he had of his dear friend, but he already knew that to forget her face would be impossible.

(( Okie doke ^_^ ))
Nivriti didnt have to look at Althalus again to commit his form to her memory, she'd made many sneaky glances his way during their conversation and was fairly sure she would remember everything about him.
'And if you don't, I certainly will,' she said with a faint chuckle. 'Take care of yourself Althalus,' the mare turned with a swish of her tail, trotting away at speed before kicking off the ground and winging upwards. She made a low pass above the stallion, giving him a smile before heading off into the distance.
