Kamea led the way, pushing any stray brush aside and letting Odelay walk ahead a bit so that Ona wouldn't fall. She kept her wand held out to watch for any problem branches on the floor. Occasionally she would fly up and check their path again and smiled as she felt the confidence of knowing she was doing something right. "I think it's just a few more paces up!" She beamed brightly.

 Nereus simply couldn't take it anymore. His body shivered with anticipation and his ears were sore from being so stiff. He almost wanted who -or what- ever it was to pounce on him at that very moment, to save him from the stress and anxiety of waiting it out.
He sighed to himself.
Some solitude. Instead he was on a blind goose chase with someone he had never seen!
"Hello?" he called out, his voice betraying the fear he held inside.
He stood up, ears pointed forward.
Enough waiting.

Finally close enough to the stream to hear that there was another Taestysia about, Kamea flicked her ears curiously not sure whether to answer or not. She hadn't seen anyone from above, but now that they were closer her sense of hearing clearly heard a voice call out.
She looked to Odelay and Ona then tentative called out, "Ummm... Hello?" She asked in a curious tone of voice, not really sure what to make of this new unseen creature.

Ona got a little scared and began to squeeze Odelay a little tighter
“It’s okay we won’t hurt you.” She said softly

Odelay felt little paws squeezing on him, Ona must be scared, he thought to him self. He was not paying attention to why the other two were crying out and had not heard the lurkers cry but he cried out with them to the unnoticed lurker.
"Yeah Its okay who ever you are." He cried out not sure why he was crying out, "Do you have tasty snacks? I would really like some if you do!" It wasnt that Odelay was dumb it was more he was not always 'there' mentally to know what was going on. That was how he stumbled in the woods in the first place.

Hearing a female voice, Nereus's spine grew straight, his paws dug into the ground, and his eyes shrunk into small slots.
Things would be dangerous.
The female voice was almost immediately followed by a young, squeaky greeting and a male request.
Nereus shivered, wondering how to respond to such a large (and possibly ominous) group.
"Show yourselves, please," he requested, his voice's strength ringing about the forest with authority.
He felt relieved at it, though inside he knew the fear was stronger than any lies he told himself.

Kamea tilted her head at such a strange greeting and looked to Odelay for direction. She was still young and didn't quite know what to make of it. Normally without any others she would dart right in without any other thoughts. "Ummm.... ok?" She called out, in a rather confused tone.

Hearing an unusual uneasy tone, he let his body relax, pondering the options.
It was most likely just another Tae wandering about.
Or it could be a skilled hunter (or enemy) with the ability to mimic such a Tae.
Nereus shook his head. He was making himself anxious.
"I won't hurt you, I promise."

"No you show your self!" Odelay was somewhat annoyed by this Tae. He didnt like to listen to others which was a big flaw in his personality. Truth be told Odelay may have been a cool relaxed Tae but that didnt mean he was stubborn.
"Why should we listen to you? What if your the threat?" The tae shook his head, "You show your self, doesnt matter either way to me if you do or dont, but I do know I dont listen to no one." A pause followed his words and he turned to Kamea, "Wait.. If I dont listen to anyone does that mean I dont listen to my self?" It had happened again, Odelay had confused him self.

Kamea blinked, not sure what to do now and shrugged half-heartedly at Odelay. "Ummm, I don't know?" She stood there, using her wand to scratch her head absently, getting frosting all over it without realizing.
She was fluttering her wings in her anxiety again and then it dawned on her. She flicked her wand with emphasis to her new idea, accidentally splashing a few drops of frosting on Ona and Odelay. "Ooops!" She blushed and then continued on in a hurry, "I can fly up and see if I can see him. If I see him and he looks ok then we know he's ok or not?"

Odelay gave Kamae a bit of a glazed over look before it hit him.
"Wait a minute... Your saying you can fly? Well thats a great idea!" Paying attention was not something that Odelay was good at.

Kamea giggled and nodded happy to have come up with a good idea. She took a few steps back from Ona and Odelay then took off flying high up into the air. She flew close enough to where she thought the voice had come from and sat upon the nearest branch. The branch just barely held her weight as she scanned the area, as if she were a bird examining its territory.

Ona was now very confused,scared and hungry.
"Odelay who ever this tae is it won't try and hurt us right?" she asked him, before licking of the frosting Kamea accidentally threw on them

Nereus sniffed, agitated. The male Tae was obviously a prideful one, and if he was a hunter, well, he was a lot more skilled than he had thought he was.
'Curse it,' he thought to himself, though he could not suppress the serene feeling of calmness floating over him, the scene- the river, the water, the gentle sounds of the forest- helping him with all anxieties he had ever felt.
"Nn." he grunted, stalling for time as his eyes suddenly met the eyes of a lovely pinkish female Tae, perched on a branch above him.
"Is she one of yours?" he asked, never letting his eyes leave her, a threatening stance overcoming his body.

Kamea blinked and tilted her head, thinking the male was quite strange. She only just barely managed to spot him amidst the other greenery as he moved and changed stances. She called down to answer his question, "I am the one who answered you before. Why do you threaten us?" She was very perplexed, never having dealt with conflict until now. She had been very sheltered in her short life and was mostly left to her own devices.
