Once, I was talking about how when we asked some guys to the dance, we should all go in costume. Then someone was like, "But, they won't let you in unless it's formal" and I was like, "Well, why don't we wear a formal costume? Like Victorian or something". My other friend said, "Oh! We could go in Lolita!" I didn't know what that was, so I asked her. She responded, "It's this awesome fashion in Japan!" she then ran over to the computer and looked up some good pictures on Google. I immediately fell in love.

Well, it first started with anime, that evolved to watching JDramas, then evolved into the Music, which evolved into the fashion.

Er, well, a few years ago I read the book, Lolita. sweatdrop And after I'd finished it, I was surfing the web reading reviews and things and somehow stumbled across a page on the Lolita fashion. All through middle school I'd been very interested in Victorian culture and fashion, so I was very excited to discover it! whee

I seen the style and all but never knew what it was called till I found an artist who draws and dresses it on dA whee
I just love the style of childish dressing yet still be mature and mannered, they are my source of inspiration in designing cloths which doesn't include Lolita only~

I guess being involved in the gothic culture has a bit to do... But I got into it very naturally, via images on some manga, anime, bands lice Malice Mizer, and such. And I loved it, never tought it was actually a "fashion" I just loved the clothes, and then I wake up and discover it's all called Lolita~

I actually found myself to be a sweet lolita at heart before even discovering bout the fashion itself. >w< Pink has been my favorite color ever since. (most of the things i own are pink ; this includes my cellphone, hairstraightener, etc.^^) I love eating sweets. :3 My room always seemed to have been covered in stuffed toys. ^_^ I loved making bows, hair acessories, loved to sew. ♥ and yeah. X D basically i would always wear them to school.

I think it evolved from a fascination with manga into Japanese culture, and now I'm here. I discovered the Gothic & Lolita Bible at an Asian bookstore. I bought it even though I couldn't read it, and now I'm obsessed. Funny thing is... I bought a petticoat before I knew what Lolita was....

For as long as I can remember I've had a love for Victorian clothes and things. An old friend of mine told me about it. I fell in love with it.

I learned about the lolita fashion from Mana when my Gaia friend told me about Moi dix Moi's concert in the 2009 LA Anime Expo. I did not go, though I was in LA at that time. I listened to his music and I liked it and is now my favorite band. Next to Malice Mizer, of course. I looked at the Gothic and Lolita Bible and got interested it it. ^^

Haha. Not sure really. I think it might have been an anime but I know for a fact that Gothic Lolita was the first I'd seen.
