I used to get scam PMs a lot when I first joined Gaia.
But now, I haven't gotten one in a long time.
I guess I don't post in places like the CB enough.

i l i y o Asashina Well, it took me a long time to get what I have, and if I can help someone, I will. But I hate people who try to scam me =o= My friends have gotten hacked at least once, and I've gotten wrongly banned. And I've helped them all out to the best of my ability..
I just don't really trust Gaia anymore. Everyone I know is getting hacked and it's scary crying
I am in a situation like that.
Almost everyone in my friends list has either been wrongfully banned, or hacked/scammed out of their accounts.
That is my worst fear on Gaia, that I'm wrongfully banned from Gaia.
It took me two years to achieve my winged anklets, and now almost at 2 mil. I would hate to be banned for something I didn't do.
That means two years of my real life gone. gonk
I try and help out my close friends with getting back on their feet, good karma you know?
A really close friend of mine who lives in MA got hacked.
She only laughed about it, though. Gaia isn't that big of a deal to her, really. xD
But yeah.
Other than that, I do not know a lot of people who have been hacked.
Tellie has been on Gaia for a long time (2005), and she has never gotten hacked.
And I have been on for almost a year, and I haven't gotten hacked yet either.
Just like someone above said, it's really just about being careful on Gaia.
Don't give your password out, and no one should be asking for it. If they do, it's a scam. Simple as that.
But if I did get hacked, I would be very upset.
I have two Dark Halos, and although they are cheap compared to some other items, they are my absolute favourites, and I would be devastated if I lost them. D:

I remember getting a couple scammers before. I'm like, "I'm not even that rich looking. = 3=;". I don't get anymore though.

I remember that my "best friend" hacked my account, and I lost my Penguin Slippers, Mochi the Puppy, CoCo Kitty, etc. It was so depressing. i_i But that's okay, because that account is banned now. ^-^
