Second year in marching band, and was almost run over by my fellow trumpet. x.x
We had a diamond shape to make, and I went about 2 yards lines in about 12 counts. I know that doesn't sound hard, but when the trumpet in fron of me thought he would miss it, I had to move extra fast in order to not get run over. The first couple of runs were nightmarish..but it finally got better.

Id have to say my most dangerious is the whole band made an X and the X span clockwise into a huge block and then reversed and spun into a biggger block. all at a 179 tempo. thankfully no one died but there were alot of close encounters. we do this move alot, they call it the toliet bowl.

In 2006, we did our trademark move called, "The Wedge"...we tried to crab-step it the entire year.
There was only one show that there wasn't a giant, human train wreak and that was at BOA.

THE DREADED DIAMOND CUTTER
It's evil. And hard. But when we do a good job, it just makes the crowd (and other bands whee ) wet themselves.
look up Munford and Diamond Cutter on youtube. I'm sure it's on there.

My junior year, my marching band show's theme was "Chairman dances". (It was actually Gates of Gold... but my BD just didn't care) So on our field, there were 50 white chairs that the guard moved around and did stuff on. Basically, moving backwards or sideways with a slight backwards slant was FEROCIOUSLY dangerous. There were some pretty serious injuries from that show. Ugh... Never again.

crab stepping for drumline suchs so bad we cross our legs and stay facing to the front and our hips have to stay in place or our drumline director will put his hands on our hips and tell u to relax and keep ur hips in line but i hate when ppl touch my hips so i would always tense up when he was near me and then he would yell at me for not relaxing i'm sorry but i can't walk when peoples hands are on my hips

you make two square, than when the riffle run and crossing each other, The brass horns down and crossing each other... that made two tubas got heavy damage and about five low brass injured. Than, when at KLWMBC, the floor was wet, so there are about 4 or 5 low brass fell off. So they can't walk right when practice for final... (how heavy was the damage?)

[One Time In Band Camp] Jazz running!!!!! Oh, and for flutes, horns up...lawl xD I've gotten hit in the head a lot x3 Oh jeez yes. And when we're swinging our flutes, my squad leader Betsy will be like "Dominique, flute higher!" and I'm afraid I'm gonna hit somebody XP.

Heehee, this year in our opening movement, right after the woodwind feature we basically have a line of saxes moving backwards and a block of high winds moving to the right in a straight motion, so the saxes start moving back on count 1 and the woodwinds start moving on count 3 to avoid collisions.
This wouldn't be dangerous if the saxes that I have to march between would not be so close normally.

Crabbing on an angle moving towards the front of the field while facing the end zone >.< I do that so much this season and that's just the opened! eek
But the hardest move I think for me was freshman year we have to pratically jazz run (which drumline NEVER does) to march from 35yd line to 35yd line on an angle...and crabbing...while trying to keep your bass drum from smacking you in the face. gonk
That wasn't fun AT ALL!
