Suds was also taken aback at the skull's talkative nature. He had forgotten that Anarchy was a necromancer and chose to carry this skull around as a companion... Liana, however, seemed more than just startled, but horrified. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do, but he knew that Anarchy would more likely than not take that as an insult.

Anarchy, however, merely laughed.
"You caught me on one of my good days, Kat, else you would be a toad at this very moment. I so gracioulsy offered you a chance to examine the marvels held within my loft and you respond by fearing my companion? You should be glad he is of a more forgiving nature when it comes to Faes of your persuasion."
She hefted a basket under her other arm, eyeing Suds and nodding her head towards the other, the one with her skull friend.

"I have a name you know, toots! It's Heston! Remember that, 'cause you'll be thinkin' of me later! [[Not a sexual reference I promise!]]"
He grumbled as Suds picked up his basket, obviously displeased to be handled by somefae that was not female.
"Just what I needed, more testosterone! Sheesh! What's up with all of these guys hangin' around. Sure, that Marluxia is girly enough, but he just doesn't have the build, you know?! Nah, I need a woman!"
It was a wonder Anarchy could be so cold with such a 'lively' companion...

Liana smiled a little at the female Fae. "Then I'm glad this is one of your good days." She had mostly recovered from seeing the skull, because he was funny. She chuckled a bit at his words, although still wierded out a bit that he was a talking skull, and so she smiled at Heston and said, "And why exactly do you need a woman, Heston?" She grinned at Suds, thinking how crazy it was that a talking skull existed in this world. She looked back at the skull. "Is it because women are gentle? Or is it for a reason I shall have to scold you for?" Liana smiled again. "You are Anarchy, right? Suds mentioned that you were probably here...after Marluxia ran off the way he did."

Suds was floored. Never had he thought that he and Liana would escape unharmed... He carried the basket as gingerly as possible, trying not to laugh as the skull jabbered on.

"Suds would be correct, then. Marluxia dislikes the fact that I choose this prime space to grow my herbs. That, and he does not take well to dead frog's heads littered throughout his garden. Oh well. He knows he will never be able to stop me. It is his fault for digging up the remains of an ancient burial ground."

"Does that mean you don't wanna know? Well, too bad, doll face! I need me a bit of lovin! The kind of lovin' I can only get from a real woman! You know what I mean? Nah, I wouldn't say ya do, seein' as you don't wanna know anyway."

Liana laughed at Heston's antics, "I'm curious to know what you would do with a woman if you found one you liked. You don't exactly have the gift of mobility. Unless you can float around?"

Turning to Anarchy, Liana asked, "What ancient burial ground? I didn't know there was a burial ground underneath the house."

"I wish, honey," Heston jabbered, clattering his teeth together, "but somebody hasn't done that yet!" Heston eyes Anarchy, or did his best impression of eyeing Anarchy, who simply ignored his presence.

"Not necessarily under the house, but under this pecific wing in which he chose to plant his precious 'flowers'. Flowers? I ask him. Flowers. They have no purpose. Many are not even edible! Besides, the curse of the people, there are not many buried here, mind you, but even a single unearthed bone can curse a soul forever, makes growing flowers more than just difficult. If not those powers of his this would be a barren land."
Anarchy stopped at a door, not realizing how much she had just talked. Was it possible that she had... warmed up to this Kat...? The thought was sickening. Perhaps she would have to scare her some just to redeem herself?
"It appears we are here. I hope you didn't snap that brittle spinal chord of yours, Suds." She smiled, pushing open the door to reveal her 'lab' for the first time to anyone but herself and Suds.

((No Suds reply. He is working too much carrying that basket up three flights of stairs to do much talking!))

Liana smiled a little. "Well then, I guess that it's good that Marluxia has his 'powers.' I actually haven't heard much about that, actually. But I wouldn't want to pry. I'm glad of all the flowers. They are very beautiful, and while not practical in the sense of usefulness, they are good for the uplifting of spirits. And surely some flowers have some magical properties?" Liana walked up the stairs, following the others. When she reached Anarchy's lab, she curiously peeked in, expecting to see test tubes, and lab equipment.

"Oh, you are an entertaining Kat, aren't you? So... ignorant. Or should I say foolish? Magic does not exist, my dear. No, necromancy, and even Marluxia's 'powers' are simply science. My hypothesis is that his body simply emits more carbon dioxide than the normal being. I wouldn't know, really. He has never been fond of my experiments."
Anarchy laid her baskets on the floor beside a rather simple looking dresser, approaching a boiling cauldron on the other side of the room.
"Would you like to see some science in action, dear?" she asked, with a smile.

"Uh-oh! You best be gettin' out of here, toots! I can't feel no pain, but I'm sure you do! She's tried the same stuff on me and I got to say, it ain't pretty!" Heston bounced up and down as he hissed in Liana's direction, trying to make some motion to get Liana's attention. "Just be glad I took a likin' to ya toots, and run!

"Uhhhhhh, Liana? I suggest we take the skulls advice? I-I hope that he isn't serious, but it would be best not to try it, you know...?" Suds swallowed hard, looking towards Anarchy who was looking into her mysterious brew. Was he imagining it, or did he hear small squeals coming the cauldron...? An surely she had heard Heston's outurst...?

Liana bit her lip. She didn't know whether to stay or go, but she was inclined to listen to Suds, after all, he'd been right about Marluxia... "Maybe another time, Anarchy." she said politely. "It's getting late, and I want to see the rest of the house before it gets dark..." Liana looked at Heston, blowing him a kiss in thanks. She thought he might be pleased with that sort of affection. Liana was rather sorry she wouldn't get to see one of Anarchy's experiments. She was rather curious, after all. And she was beginning to like Anarchy, even in spite of her rather dismal attitude about flowers.

"You do, do you?" Anarchy asked, shooting a glare towards Heston while adding some frogs' heads to the cauldron. "Well, I would never wish to interupt your tour. Besides, I have a feeling that this house will, how should I say... liven up? Yes, things will surely liven up tonight." She smiled again, matching Marluxia in her menace, but soon turned away from the two Faes in the doorway.

Heston merely swallowed and silently motioned the two into the hallway. His usual talkative nature was lost as he attempted to help Liana before Anarchy tried an experiment out on her.

Suds grabbed Liana's arm, pulling her into the hallway after him. "C'mon," he hissed into her ear, "I guess I can show you somewhere else? Thankfully you've seen two of our three most malicious tenants. I guess that means next is Cynic? At least he's not as bad as those two, though..."

Shera: Sorry, but no. :sigh: I'd love to RP another Kat, but Liana and Suds are pretty involved in their own thing right now. But, like I said, I'd gladly RP with Shera if you wished to choose another Kat from my roster? :]

Liana was surprised that Suds pulled her out of the doorway. She didn't know he was so alarmed by Anarchy's suggestion. She had been slightly oblivious about the whole thing. "Well, I guess I'll see you another time then," she called her goodbye to Anarchy. She felt that she and Heston had gotten along okay, even though he was a skeleton head. Turning to Suds, she said, "Oh, I don't know. They both had their redeeming qualities. They weren't so bad. Okay, so Marluxia was a bit of a jerk, but he grows beautiful flowers." Liana shrugged. "So, Cynic is next, is he?"

"Oh, I hope not," Suds sighed. "I would hate for you to meet ALL of my least favorite people in one day. Maybe we could reserve that for your next visit? That is, if you want to visit again...?"
Suds turned down a hall, leading Liana down three flights of stairs until they had returned to the ground floor.
"So," he asked, stopping in the doorway that lead to the kitchen, "would you like some brownies? Capricia brought back a wonderful recipe a while ago, and they have turned some fantastic results. You can even help make them if you want!"
Suds brightened at the idea of making some brownies, which would be just the thing to lighten his spirits after his encounters today.

Liana laughed softly, finding the notion that she wouldn't want to come see Suds again humorous. "Of course I want to come back. It's very interesting around here!"

Liana followed Suds down the hallway and the stairs, and into the kitchen. "Brownies sound wonderful! I'll help with them, although you'll have to tell me what to do. I've never actually made brownies before." Liana thought that brownies would be perfect. Making them would ease the turmoil of emotions running through her heart. Her encounter with Marluxia had left her uneasy, and her meeting with Anarchy had left her slightly bewildered. She still hadn't figured out why Suds and Hector had ushered her out so quickly.

"Oh, great!" he said, washing his paws in the sink and motioning for Liana to do the same.
"Ok then, I'll get the flour and eggs and milk and chocolate and... Let me check the recipe? Wouldn't want to mess it up, would we?"
He hopped onto a counter, rummaging in a middle shelf for the cookbook with Capricia's recipe in it.
"Umm, could you get two eggs and the jar of milk out of the refrigerator? I have to find that recipe real quick."
He tossed some book some books onto the floor, making sure they landed binding down.
"Now, where is it...?" he mumbled to himself, rummaging through the book some more.

Liana covered a smile as Suds rummaged through the books. She washed her paws in the sink, then did as he requested, walking over to the refrigerator and finding the eggs and the jar of milk. She turned, and put the eggs and milk on a nearby counter. Noticing a loose page on the floor, she picked it up. "Suds, is this it?" she asked, holding the page out to him to inspect.
