Riddle thought a few moments, trying to think up a possible solution. "I think I have it..." he said. "This feather is a petrified Hououza....possibly. I think these ones made it to the moon, and managed to live. I think that these ones, without daily moonlight, might actually turn to stone...this would be something to show the scientist, Ms. Lussier..."

"Especially if there's a way for the process to be reversed," agreed Apathetic. "To be frozen in stone like that, denied even one's second chance... Even the thought it worth looking into it.
"At the very least, it might help shed some light on the area - so to speak - and the events that took place here."

"Well, I guess I'm making a trip to Arkage when I get back," Riddle said, sticking the feather in his bag. He'd put it with Takato, but it was too heavy.

"Arkage... Oh, right. Yet another place I've yet to see." Shaking his head, Apathetic glanced once more around the room and sighed.
"Well, I'd say this is a potential accomplishment for the day, wouldn't you? That in mind, would you mind terribly if we call it a day? I'd like to record this, for one, and I've also some... business... to take care of."

A short time later... Well, not too much time later... Apathetic was settled within his tent, which was darkened, and appeared to be asleep. Within, however, he was actually writing in a hardbound journal of some kind, doing so by the light of a silver candle.

At that time, Ryo was scrawling his own words in his journal, before leaving with a simple sort of fishing rod. Riddle also wrote down some things in his own journal, and then began to settle down with a book. Natu was fast asleep in his own sleeping bag.

A soft sound could be heard in the forest around the lake, sounded like a song being sung (slightly off key but still slightly plesent). It was acombined with a slight hum, that was on key. The voice sang an Elvis song sounding sort of out of place with it but she was alone save for her pets so who really cared. As teh voice broke free from the forest she stoped.
It was a cat...fairy...human...thing. Okay so it was different. Dark mocha skin taned from the sun met bright red hair that ran down her back. Two ears flicked on top of her head as a tail flickered back and forth behind her. One hand held tight to a leash that conected to a stone grey, with green speckles, thing tugged hard on her right arm, ethir trying to carry her to the air or tug her arm off. As the cat stoped the gargole looking bird managed to almost tug her off her feet.
To her left was a grey and white marble dog, when he sat the top of his head reached her chest, he was quite large. He wore no leash but around his neck was a cord connected to a bright red feather, flames burned from an orage puff and licked up at the tip. It was the feather that humed and the cat that sang.

Ryo snagged a fish from the lake and reeled it in. He placed it in a cooler full of water. When he heard the humming, he turned towards the source. "Hello?" he called.

The cat girl jumped when she heard a voice and Korbin took that opertunity to tug. Surprised her grip slipped on his leash and he soar free.
"Korbin!" she called out, runing forward quickly, jumping into the air as her wings buzzed. The gargole swooped down to the cooler though, managing to open it and grab a fish. The cat girl took the chance to grab the leash though the fish was gone. Anoyed at being traped agian but happy to of gotten food he flaped up to his favored perch. The girl's head.
"Korbin" she growled under her breath and then truned to the fisher. "I'm sorry, I don't have good control over him yet. I can try to get you another fish if you want"

Ryo stood up, and fluttered his Everegreen Wings. "It's okay, I understand he was hungry," he said.

The girl looked at the boy intrested. She blinked and looked a bit closer, "You are a pheonix child aren't you?" she asked him, intrested. "I'm sorry. My name is Flamefire" She curtistied, "Call me Flame. This beast on my head is Korbin and the caine over there is Yu~ki and the feather around his neck is Enya. You are?"

"Yeah, I'm a Hououza, and my name is Ryo," he said. "If you want to meet anyone else, follow me." He picked up the cooler, which had 3 fish in it, and began heading back to the camp set up by the village.

"Sure" Flame said happily, and then shook her head too get the fish scraps off her head. Korbin fluttered up and discarded the fish bones. Yu~ki snifted it and then glanced over to the cat. "Can I have another fish if you don't mind?" Flame asked embaressed, "I can pay you if you want but I think Yu~ki hungry too, we've been walking for a while, trying to get Korbin to tire" Korbin seemed conent to stay roosted on the cat's head though.

"Yeah sure, I'll go catch a few more after this," he said. He stopped, opened up the cooler and picked up a fish. He threw it to Yu~ki, then closed the cooler and kept walking.
