Upon seeing the incoming rush, Aly blanched and quicky grabbed his share of breakfast, moving as far as possible from the table for his own safety. He took an experimental bite and nodded with satisfaction. Yes the cookbook has never failed, nevertheless no cook was ever completely happy with the results and he murmured, "It migh be a little salty but yer migh as well blaime tha fact that we're sittin on miles of salt water!" He nodded toward his crew mates and muttered a thick "Good mornin boss," to the captain as the latter walked in.

Alex sat along with the rest of the crew, gobbling what she could. After she had her fill, she hurried out from below, making sure all limbs were where they should be. she climb once more atop the mast and let her hair down in the salty breeze.

Aly watched them go at it and shook his head...these people never ceased to amaze him. Now ask for help gutting the fish or picking the beans and the kitchen would be a graveyard. That reminded him, he needed to talk to the captain about getting help; sometimes all the work before actual cooking could be overwhelming and it affected the meal schedules. He waited until the captain was done and walked over. "I been needin to ask yer summat boss, Y'see, I was wonderin if one of tha grunts can be assigned here with me...to help."

"What? You dare ask me to assign you help?!" Kneric displayed momentary false anger at Aly, but then gave a smile, "Ah, I'm only kidding. You're more than welcome to all the help you need. Is there anyone in particular that you had in mind?" he asked as he gazed around the deck at the other members of the crew while scarfing down his last bit of food. "Oh, and by the way, exquisite meal. You never let me down Aly." he added.

"Well I aim ta please boss," Aly grinned with the compliment and scratched his head, "Well seeing as she's more'ften than not tha first one in an the first one outta the kitchen, how 'bout if Alex comes down here for a spell? Giv'a tha chance to make up for ow much of tha food she gobbles in tha first place." His eyes glinted with mischief as he thought of his other crew mate...Aly was feeling rather sadistic today...

"Hm, not a bad idea at all," Kneric replied scratching his chin, "She seems to be a real good kid. Always willing to help out and all." he threw a glance at Alex as she sat relaxing in the wind. "Hey, Alex!" he called out to her through the crisp sea air, "How would you feel about maybe helping Aly here out in the kitchen some? It'd be a good way for you to gain an official title since you're one of our newer crew members! How do you feel about that?"

"Yeah what do you say Alex," Aly called out after the girl and shrugged, realizing almost every one was done eating and plates were strewn around the place. "Bollocks, would it kill them to clean up after theyselves? Beggin yer pardon Cap'n but-" He gestured around him and shook his head, "I haf'ta beauty up my work'us" Aly began picking up the plates and stacking them up, soon he reached the table where Nex sat and raised an eyebrow, "If only theys was more like you, I wouldn't have to pinch the barrel every quarter moon! Cain ya gimme some help here?"
