Daxelman
I just want good games. I don't care if it's the same rehashed s**t over and over again, or completely changed from what I played before, as long as it's good, nothing else matters.
I was reading a thread on The Escapist forums, people are complaining about Fallout 3, Beth giving your character a father.
Well how's this, do you want Beth to possibly make a game you would actually like, and they get it to you on time for an added bonus, or do you want them to spend years thinking up of plot ideas, delaying and delaying the game over and over, and then finally scratching it because they didn't like the plot idea they came up with, and as an added bonus, not sell the rights to another company, insuring the games death?
I just want good games, if that's what you give me, Im content. I'm happy, I might even ask Cthulhu so spare your souls. Just give me good games.
Exactly, exactly. 3nodding

Wak, I only play 3 or 4 shooters, I'm not "hooked" or "sucked in".
I know reviewers can be overcritical... I just wanted to inform you it wasn't anything new.

Quote: I meant we are overcritical of games and we are. We shouldn't be no matter whether it is the past or present. We list the tiniest details that we hate. I called ourselves reviewers.I said I called us reviewers..... stare

Oh, Wak, what a coincidence. I'm over at my friends house, and he likes mecha games. So I rented Gundam Crossfire for the PS3. We just read a review, and it listed "No Online Play" as a reason for the game being terrible! The game got rated around a 3 out of 10 on average of the game sites I've visited. My friend and I actually think the game is decent...not amazing, but it shouldn't have gotten that low of a review.

Was that the launch title, or another game?
Well, reviewers don't like Gundam games in the first place, so that maybe it.....

Not sure, I think there is only one Gundam game on the PS3. But yeah, none of the Gundam games have ever had online multiplayer from what my friend has said. And he's played all but 2 of them.

That score is obnoxiously low especially because of it having "no online play" as a reason for it.

X-PLay did that once for a fps on the psp. You know what, if a game has online play, grade the online play. If it doesn't exist, then there's nothing to grade so leave it alone. Some of us don't play online. Granted online multiplayer-ness helps a game's replay value. But if the designers dind't add it, then they didn't add it so just let it go.Arvis_Jaggamar You know, Uncharted has no online play, and everyone seems to love it. Reviewers can be so dumb sometimes... Maybe whether or not reviewers get their panties into a wad about online play depends on the genre of a game...

Sakyh Maybe whether or not reviewers get their panties into a wad about online play depends on the genre of a game... Still...Gundam is a mecha game, it's never had online play. And even if it did, people would complain about it being too "slow paced" because of the fact mechas are slow because of heavy weight. It's not the usual fast-paced fps, it takes strategy and longer planning.

Actually, Reviewers Hate Anime games in general.
Only Reason Rise Of Ninja got nice review is because it was made by Ubisoft, and some reviewers actually like Naruto a little, sorta like Bleach.
