My 1st was a small black star (not much meaning to it, but it's pretty...) My 2nd is scrip saying "Momento Mori" (remember death, in latin) along the arch of my right foot. It's a kind of memorial tattoo for my dad (I had it done while he was still alive as a kind of reminder that our time here is limited and that we should make the most of, especially spending time with friends and family). It's a message that I will be proud to carry all my life. My 3rd tattoo is currently in progress. It's a vine going up my left leg (well, at this point in my life, it's only to the ankle) which starts on my foot in a way that it looks like it is growing from under my foot upwards - the whole thing symbolic of growing up. Each leaf represents a year of my life and I intend to add to it every year on my birthday.

The third one is an interesting concept. Don't think I've heard of someone doing something like that before.

I never did post a picture of my tattoos finished.....I shall do that, though the picture I have was taken the day after I got them finished so they are really red and my arms shaved, they look better now.

I really like the way it goes from just light shading at the bottom to dark shading at the top. Nice touch.

As you may probably know what tattoos I already have. But here goes once again. I got my first one done when I turned 20 in 2006, then the next one about 4-5 months later and the last one in January this year.
1. My star sign is scorpio, and I liked the picture being small and simple. I don't believe in star signs by the way.
2. It symbolises me hopefully one day being forever free. The infinity symbol is turquoise, the crappy quality is from my webcam.
3. It took me months to find a nice dragon design, but it was worth it. If I could, I would have drawn it myself. But I'm not blessed with artistic features. And it's on my right inner ankle.
Digi - I like your flame, it's awesome. cool

I love tattoos.. if they're well done. At school if I see a well done tattoo I'll ask who did it, what shop and whats the meaning of it. Mainly cause I like to keep track of what different parlours are in town and for my future tattoos. But the main answer I get for the meaning is "Oh I donno, I though it looked sexy/cute so i got it done, plus it looks really cute when Im in my bikini" Then I bash them. I despise tattoos that people get with no symbolism, background story, or that they got at the spur of the moment. Then its completely meaningless. My mom and I got matching tattoos on our feet which is a skull to symbolize our past addictions to drugs and alcohol. Then theres thorns coming out of the skull wrapping up our calf (for me my ankle) for future tattoos of life experiences we've had or shared. We both have dragonflies (above the skull) which is this whole story that when I was little we used to go to this fountain around cityhall and rescue dragonflies that had landed in the fountain, we would hold onto them until they dried off and flew away. Theres alot more to come and hopefuly I'll get this all the way up my leg. But for my next tattoo that Im getting for my birthday (Jan6th) is tattered dragonwings with crystal balls and the protection rune in the middle of my back. This should have been my first since I've been wanting it for years, but mom said "Hey! lets get matching tattoos!" so we thought of something that we both had in common and the idea came from there.
I love tattoos and I cant wait to get into the business in a year or two.

Also, you would probably get a long with Pirate Cadaver, if I remember correctly he is a tattoo artist. @ Mana & Apokalyptika: thank you. @ Hollow: not always, I see a lot of people with flames on one arm and something different on the other, like water, ice, a dragon, etc.
