Contra 4 and Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. And, on a move that is most likely going to either get me flamed to death, or kicked out of the guild, Halo 3. This game didn't receive the critical reception it deserved, and should've won some awards. Sadly, it didn't.........
You kidding? It was nominated GOTY on X-play. On Gametrailers it's considered a benchmark title for gaming and is nominated for GOTY. It's gotten many awards on IGN for Xbox 360. It got massive ratings across the board! It's been covered up the wazoo, and prior to release, G4 had a 4 hour coverage on it (according to my friends). It was given most fun online for Xbox 360 on IGN. It's gotten critical reception.

Key word there: NOMINATED. I didn't see the whole thing, but I'm pretty sure X-Play didn't give it any awards. Plus, you can't always go by what X-Play says. Only what Adam says, because if it was up to Morgan, the only two games on that list would've been Half-Life 2 and Resident Evil 4. Hell, if she ran the whole show, it would just be a shrine dedicated to Half-Life 2 and Resident Evil 4! Gametrailers also NOMINATED it. IGN actually gave it the reception is deserved. It's multiplayer is excellent, and anyone who thinks it gets old seriously hasn't played it. It's a fact. Because the Forge Map Editor ALWAYS enables for new possibilities, so replay value is almost infinite. It's just a simple fact that anyone who says Halo 3 gets old just hasn't played the game yet. There is a huge amount of replay value, with the metagame and the Forge editor. They're simply just jumping on tho the "I hate Halo because it's over-rated" bandwagon that so many people in this guild seem to be obsessed with. Sometimes you guys seriously act as if Halo stole your girlfriends or bombed your houses or something.

That doesn't mean it actually deserved awards, cause plenty of games did what Halo 3 did, but better.

I played Halo 3 the day it came out, and I've never felt the need to play it further. When you can get all the way through the single-player campaign in one sitting without getting hungry, something is wrong.
Impressive gameplay, fun multiplayer, but so far from Game of the Year material it's not even funny.

It deserved the nomination, but it didn't deserve game of the year. There were too many other games that deserved that title more than Halo 3. And being nominated is good in itself.

And I feel like Halo 3 won something on X-Play. It was nominated in a lot of the awards...
Why does everyone hate Morgan?! I don't get it.

Because, Morgan is a b***h who was a former Microsoft tech support lady, but the G4 executives liked her attitude, and they felt as if Adam needed a female co-host to represent the almost non-existent female gamer population, so they hired Morgan basically without Adam's permission, and re-named his show. Also, she reads from a script that people write for her while Adam comes up with his own material. If you really pay attention, in some episodes, you can see Morgan's eyes drifting to the back of the room, as if she is reading from a projected script of some sort, like an anchorman does. Yes, I saw this rumor on a messageboard somewhere, and it turns out to be true. She's just too snobby and biased to be an actually good critic. She shows favoritism and bias too much, especially with her non-stop Half-Life 2 and Resident Evil 4 obsession. Adam is better because he writes his own material, he's more experienced, and he's hilarious! As in, Seanbaby hilarious! (for any EGM readers here, you should know who that is)

Really? I didn't know that. I thought they just shortened the name from Extended Play to X-Play. ...er..it was called extended play originally wasn't it? And even then, wouldn't that have been the doing of the suits rather than Morgan?
I discovered X-PLay when Morgan was already on it so I've never known anything but them. I do know that Adam's a hell of a lot smarter than he at first seems.
So she can't come up with her own stuff, big whoop.
I guess I don't watch X-PLay enough to see the bias from her cause I didn't realize there was a half-life 2 obsession. The RE4 I can see though.

Look's like I've been watching X-Play a lot longer then......mid-2004 to be exact. And I still do watch it.

I've been watching it since....2006 I think...

And someone said "you can't always go with X-PLay" I forget who...anyhow, X-PLay's the source I trust most. I've only ever disagreed with them once so I personally find them the most reliable. PSM would be leniant with games on their 10 scale, I'm not sure how they are with the 5 scale. & gameinformer sometimes seems biased. I keep meaning to check out IGN.

The best source is EGM, as X-Play can be a bit shaky at times, especially with Morgan. Game Informer is either too nice, or too mean, and they're just too damn biased sometimes. PSM and Nintendo Power are actually paid by the companies they're named after, so they're too biased. And IGN isn't always reliable either, and things get a bit shaky with it. Gametrailer is ok for the most part. Gamespot isn't the greatest, as their opinions are subject to a lot of debate. EGM is the best because they actually make points, and don't show favoritism towards any specific game series or genre. They take each game as its own separate game rather than "oh, it's a sequel to a game I lied, so I'm giving it a high score". Also, they're the most experienced, as they were one of the first (if not the first) video game magazines on the market. I trust them the most.

Wow, really? eek

When you said you live on the east coast... you did mean the east coast of the United States, right?

EGM = Electronic Gaming Monthly, probably THE most recognizable gaming magazine in existence, and one of the oldest.

Silent Hill Origins for an awesome PSP experience.

Brain Age 2 for making me feel like a moron... More than usual.

Warhawk for spear heading the PS3 online community.

Uncharted and Heavenly Sword for being games that are taking Mocap as well as visuals to a new level.

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition for being a game that PLAYS like how games should on the Wii.

Microsoft for getting Viva Pinata made for the DS.

I live in Geogia which is located on the east coast as well as in the bible belt. (& If one person uses my state as an excuse I'll sick a hacker on you! I know people!)
Yes & that's all well & good but I've never seen the magazine itself before & If someone mentioned it I probably heard "IGN" instead.

EDIT: And don't you start with me too Arvis!
