A sly smile crept onto Beryl's face. She was going to have him. "Once I have you by my side, Endymion, I will be quite content, and I would prefer you to be as well. They are your Shitennou, and they should be yours once you join me. You have my word." As a show of of good faith, Beryl looked over at Zoisite once more. She didn't release her control over him, but she did move the dagger down and away from his throat. His hand returned to his side. She had made her point, proving that she had complete control of each of them.

Venus watched as Zoisite's arm dropped from his throat and wondered if she would have enough time to use her Love-Me chain to steal his weapon lest Beryl try to use it against him again. If she failed, it could mean not only death for Zoisite but the other Tennou and possibly herself as well.

Sailor Jupiter noticed as Sailor Venus joined the fight. Catching her glance, she knew that an attack may be necessary.
She didn't really know whether the shitennou was worth saving, but she watched Mamoru take a step towards Queen Beryl. If Mamoru would really save these men despite their attempts made to kill the sailor senshi, would that mean he's bad as well? He'd do anything for Sailor Moon and she knew that. Despite Mamoru's love, he wasn't meant to be with the Princess. On the other hand, falling into Queen Beryl's hands would also pose a threat and possibly cause Sailor Moon to not fight.
She observed Zoicite's position. Their lives were on the line, but it seemed that Beryl would be willing to spare their lives if Mamoru would come join her.

Beryl's words did little to comfort Mamoru, but for now he would have to listen to them. Seeing that she had released Zoisite from immediate danger at least, he nodded. And he slowly began to walk across the field toward her. With each slow step he took, he hesitated more. He wanted to turn back, but he wouldn't. His decision had been made.

Sailormoon watched, her hands clenching into fists at her sides. She could not bear the thought of losing Mamoru to Beryl for any reason. She had to do something, anything to stop him from going. She knew she had to trust his judgment but something inside of her had started to ache and throb the moment he released her hands. And with each step he took, the pain increased. She could barely stand the over whelming feelings of heart ache and despair.
"I have to stop this," she said aloud, her voice barely above a whisper. She took a staggering step forward, reaching out for Mamoru's back with one hand. "She cannot have you!"
With every step she took, the pain worsened and soon she was down on her knees. Tears were streaming down her cheeks as all she could feel was the pain of loss. They were the good guys and they were in a position of defeat. The situation started to become clearly hopeless for their cause and that ate away at Usagi. She had become the sworn protector of the planet the day she had accepted her destiny as Sailormoon. Things could not end like this.

As Endymion approached, Beryl smiled and reached her hands out to him. She ignored the Princess, she could do nothing to stop her now.~*~ Kunzite waited, like a lion waiting in the grass for its prey to step just a bit closer. He stared intently at the man he had once called "Master". He needed the Master to be close, Beryl had proven that she could control their very movements. If he charged forward too quickly, she would have control of him before his sword found its target.

Zoisite sighed with relief that his dagger was away from this throat, but he knew he was still in Beryl's control and any actions can be lethal. He knew his 'Master' had already made up his mind. He would rather crawl into Beryl's arm then seeing his Tennous die by her hand. Zoisite knows its his duty now to protect 'Master' from Kunzite, if he returns to the Dark Kingdom with them.

Mamoru could barely hear Usagi's words. His heart was breaking and he didn't dare look back at her. If he did, he knew he would run to her, and then he would save no one. He had to be strong now. So even though it hurt him, he kept walking closer and closer to Beryl's outstretched hands, and toward his now uncertain future.

"STOP!!!" she screamed, her voice sounding alien to her own ears. It seemed too commanding, too regal to be her own. But it undoubtedly was. None of the other Senshi would scream for Mamoru to stop. None of them trusted him. It was only she who cared what happened to him. And that upset her greatly. To the point where she felt herself slipping away from them completely. How dare they betray her, their princess?!
As Sailor Moon let out her heart wrenching scream, Sailor Venus used the distraction to move closer still towards Beryl, Mamoru, and the Shitennou. All she needed was to be close enough to use her Love-Me chain or her Crescent Beam on Beryl without doing any harm to Mamoru or the Shitennou.

Kunzite was completely focused on his old Master. He didn't hear the Princess scream, nor did he see the movements of any of the Senshi. His grip on his sword tightened and then he charged. He raised his sword as he ran, aiming it at the Prince's chest, intent on running him through.

Mamoru heard Usagi's voice and something about it seemed so commanding. He stopped right where he was. He turned around to look at her. "Usagi...." He said quietly. He had been too distracted at first but now, at the very last moment, he caught a glimpse of movement and he turned around just in time to see Kunzite's sword aimed right at his chest. He didn't have time to think. He could only try to dodge, and hope that by some miracle Kunzite would miss his target.

"Venus Love-Me Chain!"
Venus was the first to react; being the most experienced of the girls, she was always ready at a moment's notice. Her target was Kunzite's blade, hoping to pull him off his current course. She just hoped that if her Love-Me Chain did make contact with her foe's weapon that she would be strong enough on her own to deter the bigger man.

Zoisite snaped out of his thoughts when he heard Venus's voice. He looked towards the direction of Kunzite. He smiled, like Venus knew what Kunzite was up too. Zoisite tried to telepathically communicate to her saying thank-you, but please save Master, or the worse will come.

Beryl's attention was off when Kunzite stupidly decided to attack Endymion, off to the point where she reacted slower than one of the Senshi did. Endymion had dodged and Kunzite's blade had been knocked off course as well, but Beryl knew that he was trouble now. She raised her hand and struck out at him with a ball of purple energy. Enough to knock him off his feet and keep him there.
Endymion dodging Kunzite could have countered for. Venus attacking him, he could not. He barely had time to realize what had happened before Beryl's energy hit him and sent him to the ground.
He landed on his back, not far from where Endymion stood. He had dropped his sword, and it lay within reach, but Kunzite couldn't move. HE gritted his teeth in anger when he realized that Beryl was holding him here, mere feet from where his target stood, uninjured.
In all that had been going on, Sailor Mercury didn't really know what do to offer help. She wanted to support Usagi-chan, and she really felt for her with Beryl trying to take Mamoru away from her.
She gasped when she saw Kunzite charge at Mamoru, but thankfully Venus reacted quickly and Beryl as well had made sure that Kunzite wouldn't hurt Mamoru, not that it was doing a whole lot to reassure Mercury with the whole situation.
She took a moment to survey the current situation. Sailor Venus stood a bit further forward than the other Senshi after having used her attack. Sailor Moon as well had stepped forward, and Mercury decided to step up to her side as well. "Usagi-chan?" she said, hoping to offer support, and perhaps keep Usagi from doing anything that might get her in trouble. Mercury looked over at their enemies, and her eyes lingered a bit longer on Nephrite than the others.

Usagi was dumbfounded as she watched the scene unfold before her eyes. She could not make herself move at all even though she wanted to run out there and join Venus, to fight against Kunzite and Beryl. She felt like she had no control over anything, her body included. There were too many things going through her mind, all foreign to her, to allow her to even attempt to return to her normal self at that point. Her chest began to ache, filled with pain and rage.
So distracted was Usagi that she barely even noticed Mercury say her name. All she heard was a distant voice telling her how nothing would matter without Endymion; not her Senshi, not their enemies, not the world.
...Without Endymion by my side there is no reason for the world to live on...
