After the finale, my love for this ship and its fandom has increased a ton. Even if its not canon, it had so many wonderful, meaningful moments that I just can't help but love it to bits. Seriously, if you want epic romance, look at this ship. =D

I agree all the way with you. ;D After that part where Zuko took the lightning for Katara, my heart just pounded. Even if it wasn't canon, that part really made you see how much Zuko cared for Katara. It's so freakin' epic. :3

I wouldn't say my love for Zutara has changed, but for Avatar, itself, it has changed. (We all know that line is familiar. xp ) I loathe the entire series now. And, I can't help but glare at it now and think: "What a waste."

It's funny, the book which we hated at first, had more confirmed Zutara signs then the ACTUAL series! Zuko went from getting shot in the heart (book) to the stomach. (series) And that book was for Little LITTLE kids! >.>

Bryke really screwed up, I'll be surprised if they ever have anything successful again. The shipping outcome was a let down, but that didn't matter as much. It's obvious someone else made those episodes and took out the time and careful planning to make the Cast (Zuko,Katara,Toph,Sokka,Suki,Mai,Ty Lee,Uncle Iroh,Yue etc) who they were.

They said it themselves, Toph was mean't to be a small "defenseless" little girl. Her original design was some big brawler guy! But, obviously, someone behind them (along with a higher brain) voiced the idea of changing "he" to "her."

The one thing that you should never ever do is poke fun at your fan-base. No matter who they are, what they ship or what is their main personal preference. It is the first mistake you'll make in your animation career, and it might as well be the last one you will do.

That's what I love about this pairing. It doesn't matter if it's fanon or canon or whatever the hell else, it will always be epic and deep and have tons of chemistry. Nothing and no one can ever change that.

And I really love Zuko and Katara's habit of saving each other. xD

Oh, I'm with you on that. The beginning of the series was so good, but then they ruined all that build up, all that development with the finale. Not just pairing wise, but just.... everything Aang did.

Oh, yeah, that definitely irks me. It's like Bryke realized what was implied by Katara healing Zuko's heart, and then decided they had to 'fix' it. Dx

Oh, the bad character development with Aang and failure at romance combined with them poking fun at their fans and basically insulting them for their shipping preferences will definitely have a strong impact on future success. I'm looking forward to seeing that happens with their next series.

At first I only liked Zutara because I didn't think Aang and Katara matched that well, also I began reading the subtle hints that Zuko gave katara in season 1. ' you rise with the moon etc'

I saw it through Zukos perspective in season 1 when he tied Katara to a tree and whispered in her ear, i just loved it!

but it was only when i watched the end of season 2 that i absolutely fell in love with Zutara, that little stare he gives katara at the end just before she leaves, i definantly thought something major was going to happen between them two.

Agreed, Bryke are assholes, lets put it that way. They didn't even take the time to understand what Zutara was all about, not to mention we made up 60% of the fanbase, with all the best art, fics and talented people alllllll over. I loved after but if I bear to watch the finale again i will puke my inards out, it was terrible, horrific, just Grade A Bullshit. The finale never happened for me, and what was that terrible thing where all Aang had to do in the avatar state was get hit by a jacgged rock, that poor plot device and lazy. Ugh, Avatar RIP 2006

Yeah, I love to look back at all the subtle, little moments. It just reminds me all over again how amazing it was and could've been.

Especially the CoD things. I mean, those moments were just... wow.

It was compelling TV! And the only thing that brakes me inside is that could've possibly done by that by accident? They did say 'Zutaras see what they want to see' well I for one am GLAD i did, it made much better Tvo than the diaper stain that was Kataang.

Well, my love of Zutara evolved a lot over the course of the series. I first discovered Zutara during season 1 when Iroh spoke about yin and yang and opposites needing each other. Then, Zuko and Katara had that first famous fight when he made the sun and moon comment. I was like, 'yo! Opposites! That's just what Iroh was talking about!' Then I learned more about Zuko and he became more than just the obligitory hot badie and I began to see how he and Katara could be good for each other. I didn't think Kataang would be a problem at that point, because although I could see that Aang liked Katara, I didn't see any evidence that she liked him... then came the episode with Aunt Wu and the last scene. The first and last time we saw any hint of Kataang being more than one sided until, what was it...the episode where Aang kissed her. And even then, she didn't seem that in to it...I guess my point is, over all, Zutara made the most sense of the two pairings, despite what Bryke said about Zutarians reading what we wanted into the episodes. This is coming from someone who didn't really care one way or another about Zutara until she...let me put this in bold and italacs...SAW THE SIGNS IN THE EPISODES

I know I first stared liking zutara because I liked Zuko and I needed him to be with someone sweatdrop Ehehe,Katara was all I could come up with.Yeah, but after I came up with that I actually started thinking about it and became a true Zutarian.I still LOVE ZUTARA LIKE CRAZY ,it's still my main obsession. But now I'm more accepting of Maiko.I try to make myself like it.I actually hate kataang more now(when I first started watching Avatar,I was a Kataanger),but I'm not sure why.

I loved the whole opposite thing at first but now, even though it has ended, I loved the love/hate relationship. How they hate each other but don't want the other to be hurt. 4laugh 4laugh

I agree! The series being over doesn't change a true Zutarian's feelings about the pairing! ^o^ The constant tension between them and the hints at their caring sides really make them such a great couple to watch progress. 3nodding

Zuko and Katara's relationship and them caring for each other strengthened before he helped her find her mother's killer!

That episode was fantastic! Zutara ninjas for the win! That episode aired on my birthday, too, and it was the best gift ever. XD Watching how well they worked with one another was truely great. What made it so neat was that they never worked with one another before, but they worked together as if they had been a team for years.
