Akane Mori. What it would be like to see her dance left him to wonder, as he had never met her. Shizuka and Miharu's excitement let a smile flick across his lips. He let a content sigh out. He felt rather...weird here, if that was the word to use, like he was the thick atmosphere that had encased them. Though admittedly, he was at fault for that one. Katsuhige stared at Shizuka at the smile she sent, before flicking his eyes away. Well, that was some sort of opening for conversation he guessed.
The Samurai had long since drained his sake cup, but was simply enjoying the slight warmth it gave him. He could still feel the warmth in his throat, where it had burned as it had descended down. He was totally relaxed by now and gazed around at the three people, before he settled his gaze on Shizuka. He needed to say something to make things better, but what? He couldn't say anything here at least.
"Shizuka-san, would you like to accompany me around the gardens tomorrow afternoon?" He asked pleasantly, quite happy to let Miharu and Raiden go off into their own conversation. This was his chance to apologise and explain if she accepted.

Upon hearing the prompt whisper into her ear, Miharu smiled a small smile and shook her head once at Shizuka, meaningfully making brief eye contact. What could she possibly be talking about? Bold, Miharu? Never. Anything odd that she may have done in the past hour or so must be attributed to Shizuka's presence, or possibly a little bit to the warm sake she had been drinking during this time. In any case, she carried around a bit of a contented, blissful air at the moment.
She felt her cheeks grow warm as she listened to Raiden speak to her. Smiling gently in return, she then looked away and occupied herself with pouring more sake into the empty cups—save for hers, of course. "Oh..." she murmured quietly. "You... flatter me, Raiden-san."
Her attention was diverted slightly from him as Katsuhige then voiced his desire to have Shizuka accompany him around the gardens. Suddenly it was as if she had missed an entire part of the conversation. Miharu's eyes flicked up to see Shizuka's reaction to such a request, and if/when she made eye contact, she put a slightly appalled look into her eyes. The shirabyoshi returned to her task of pouring sake. As soon as she finished, she set the tokkuri down in its place and looked up. "Please excuse me for a moment," came her mild request. Miharu surreptitiously nudged her friend as she stood up, seemingly to go to the lavatories. Their time to reveal secrets was now.

Shizuka eyed Miharu with some curiosity as the other shook her head, trying to read the other's eyes. Ah, well. Shizuka quickly pushed the strange behavior to the back of her mind. She and Miharu could talk about it later. The shirabyoshi smiled a little at the exchange between her friend and the other samurai, unable to quell her curiosity.
Nothing was affecting Shizuka. Nothing was affecting her at all until he spoke. The shirabyoshi felt her deep discomfort return as she eyed the table and her half-empty cup of sake. "Of course, Katsuhige-san." She replied though her voice was slightly tight. After all, there was no reason to refuse. The shirabyoshi quickly berated herself at the fact that she could have lied and said she already had plans, but it was too late for that now. Much too late.
Shizuka's eyes flicked to Miharu, the expression in her own eyes one of slight pleading. She felt the nudge and stood with Miharu, offering a slight bow to the two samurai before them. "And myself." She added on, making her way out of the room with Miharu. They had to talk and they had to talk now.

Miharu was quite pleased to find that her friend was following her out, as she had wished. Once escaped from the confines of the room, she took on a more leisurely pace, allowing Shizuka to catch up with her. Two shirabyoshi chatting as they walked through the halls—nothing seemed amiss. "Ahh, Shizuka-chan," she began, glancing to the other shirabyoshi with a small smile, "Would you mind telling me what that was all about?"
Of course, she too well knew that she would probably have to explain Raiden in due time, but she was counting on Shizuka to tell her stories first. And... she would also most likely need some time to sort things out with herself. Because in all honesty, she didn't know what had come over her.
Oh, how had she managed to get lost in her own thoughts? Miharu turned her attention back to her friend, barely catching what she had to say. She could have waited until after performances, and mused about the possibilities until then, but instant gratification was good, too. That, and the atmosphere in the room wasn't headed anywhere near comfortable, even with sake abound.

Shizuka sighed as Miharu began grilling her, thinking for a moment after the question had been asked. "In truth, Miharu-chan..." Shizuka trailed off, hesitating as she walked with her friend. "I'm not very sure myself." Shizuka fidgetted, a frown gracing her painted lips. She knew she'd have to explain to Miharu in more detail than that.
"I ran into him yesterday in the gardens, Miharu-chan." She finally began her story. "And he's not entirely crude or anything, but he made it clear that he has 'feelings' for me." Shizuka sighed, trying to banish the unfamiliar frustration from her voice. Miharu had be aware already that she was completely on edge. Miharu knew her well and could surely tell.
"I just do not know what that man wants." Shizuka concluded with a sigh of defeat.
