Liam nodded. "If you want to. I've always encouraged fledglings not to waste the gifts of their Will, and we can always use another Crafter about, especially with the formation of that Bard troupe... they're going to be wanting shiny bits and jangly things all the time, mark me!"

Lore was astounded. "I could work with the Bards? Really?" she blinked. "That would be awsome!" she exclaimed. Lores eyes gleamed as she planned her future. "But wait. You guys are only telling stories right now. Are you going to act out bigger stories soon?"

"I'm certain they will be," Liam said assuredly. "You know... that one Bard... with the three rows of spots..." "Birch," Thorn chimed in helpfully. "Yes, Birch, thank you... I seem to recall hearing about him making noisemakers. Certainly he knows a Crafter or two. Yes, I think Birch is who we need to talk to. Next time I'm down at the theatre, I'll ask him for you, how about that?"

"That would be awsome!" Lore said in gratitude. "I can't wait 'till I graduate and get to be a crafter! You have to help too, Thorn!" she said mischeiviously and chucked a juicy berry at him playfully. "Working with the Bards part time is gonna be awsome, but I bet it'll be work enough for two crafters with all those fussy bards wanting stuff." Lore grinned cheerfully.

Thorn nodded. "Of course! We should learn how to make chimes!" Turning to Liam, he looked at his adopted father with large, pleading eyes. "Liam, could we try making some noisemakers? Is there any flat metal around?"
((I'm thinking they'll initially fail at making chimes that sound pretty, but they might pull off a pair of castanets well.))

((Heh, that sounds fun.))
Lore liked this idea. She made her eyes as bid and sad as she could get them, mimicing her hatchling days. "Come on, pleeeaaase Liam?"

"Of course!" Liam said. "But I'm out of metal. We'll do it tomorrow perhaps, after I run some errands. I've got some Crafters to talk to!" The next evening seemed full of promise.
