Salem listened to his roommate's murmured words, which sounded more like excuses to his ears then a credible explanation. What type of person refused to go to the doctor when they were coughing up blood? Even if there wasn't anything they could do to help, Will could have at least considered humouring him a little. It would have been a step in the right direction for their relationship. Even if they didn't like each other, as a general rule roommates were suppose to at least be civil. Or that was the attitude that he had always carried with him in the barracks.

Matching Will's pace, Salem stood up straight. He was still angry; call him a hypocrite, but the tough guy act really pissed him off when it was coming from anyone but himself. This time, however, he shrugged it off. It just wasn't worth getting worked up over someone like Will. If he wanted to cough up blood alone in the bathroom then fine. Salem wouldn't bother getting worried about it.

"Whatever you say," he said with an indifferent shrug of his shoulders. Raising his voice a little so that Will could hear him through the closed bathroom door Salem added, “Just remember to clean up after you’re done. Blood isn’t something you want to slip on in the bathroom.” It was a little meaner then what he would have usually said, but he was pissed and therefore Will’s feelings weren’t of much concern to him right now. He left the room without another word.

It had only been an hour since he had first arrived at Blackthorn Academy and already his high spirits had been trampled. He left the room with a much darker attitude then he had the first time. Perhaps a little shirt chasing would make him feel better? That was his solution to everything. The school cook serves gluey porridge for the fifth time in a row? Find a pretty someone to sit in your lap, feeding each other will definitely make up for the lousy breakfast. Has a teacher punished you for talking in class? The lips of a cute girl will make the pain magically disappear. Rejected by a looker in the pub? That's okay, the night's still young. Keep your chin up and your perseverance will not let you go home alone.

Salem couldn't complain. If Saint Patrick's had done anything good for him, it was keeping him in peek physical condition. Years of working the fields had granted him a well-toned and muscular physique, one which was appealing to those of both the female and male variety.

Sighing softly beneath his breath, Salem closed his eyes and ran a hand through his chestnut hair as he turned and walked down the hallway. For moving day, it was surprisingly empty. Oh well. It looked like he would have to take his sexy self elsewhere in order to find some cuties to seduce. Before that, however, Salem needed a drink and because there was probably no place on campus to get a shot of whiskey, he would have to settle for a soda.

He was certain he had passed a vending machine while he was searching for his room. Somewhere around-- ah, there it is. Salem spotted the tall, logo littered machine as he rounded the corner. There was just enough change in his pocket to buy a can, but in his hurry to get one and go, he didn't notice that there was a person already standing there.

"It's possible," Oliver replied, "There are only so many third year homerooms. I guess we have a one in five chance of being placed in the same one." Much like any ordinary high school the students of each grade were separated into five different homerooms, labeled A through E. Homeroom was only twenty minutes long and it was the first class of the day before the students followed their individual schedules. "If not, maybe we'll have a class together, or at least the same lunch period. Either way, no one will know until the schedules arrive in the student mailboxes the day before classes begin."

He wasn't sure what the boy was expecting, but, unfortunately, Oliver wasn't the nickname using type. At least none that were very nice and since Yun-Ha hadn't done anything that called for such harshness he decided to stay away from them Besides, "Yun-Yun" sounded more like something his brother Noah would use and out of all of his family members, he was near the bottom of the list of people Oliver would model his life after.

"Well then Yun," Oliver began, "If you'll excuse me, I have a few more things to get from downstairs." And by 'downstairs' he actually meant from the trunk of the Rolls Royce still waiting for him in the parking lot. If his memory was correct, there was enough stuff left behind to make up two more trips for him alone. The process would go much faster if he had help, but Oliver refused to have his chauffeur follow him around campus. Maybe it was because the family he was raised in such a famous family, but Oliver didn't favour the idea of standing out like the other students with important family backgrounds.

Well, they seemed to be getting off to a splendid start; Angel was relieved. She had been afraid that they wouldn't get along, but, as she quickly noticed, Jamie was much more friendly then most of the girls she had lived with at Northwood. Smiling, Angel stepped forward and took the girl's hand in both of hers, shaking gently. It was an odd way to shake hands, Angel had no delusions about that, but it was a habit she had picked up from her Mother when she was a child and since they had been separated, she clung to the things that reminded her of her.

"You don't have to ask that," Angel replied as she released the girl's hand, "This is your room too, y'know. I just happened to get here first. It's nice to finally meet you, by the way, Jamie. I was so anxious when I found out i was going to have a roommate, but you're not what I expected to find." This was no exaggeration; Angel had been expecting a girl similar to the bullies she had met in the barracks. Compared to them, Jamie was a breath of fresh air and she hadn't even known her for five minutes.

Still, Angel suddenly realized that her words could have been taken in a much ruder way then she had intended. She quickly tried to clarify, though in her haste she hoped she hadn't made it worse. "Oh, no. That's... That's not what I meant. I was just expecting someone bigger and meaner. Not that you're small or anything. You're huge! I'm mean-- Oh, dear..."

Angel's face felt like it was burning. Great. Just great. Here she was on her first day on campus, meeting her roommate for the first time and she goes and makes an a** out of herself. She was so embarrassed. No matter where you were, insinuating that someone else was fat, even if it was accidental and you didn't actually mean it, was not the best way to make friends.

However, any apology she could have said to make up for her social blunder was suddenly cut short. Being called a mutant, even though it was true, made her mistake seem trivial and insignificant. "H-How...?" Angel began, but couldn't quite finish her question. Maybe she should have expected something like this, this was a project for mutants right? She couldn't be the only one here. But whenever she had tried to ask about the possibility of other mutants, the IMDA agents would either advise her to talk about something else or ignore her entirely.

Will was silent. He was used to being disliked and didn't really mind it. True, it might make things a bit... difficult, but if someone liked him... and then that like changed... or even if someone just pretended to like him... those were all dangerous things. It was far better to just remain alone in his weakened husk. It was best to just look unappealing. That way, no one would ever take an interest in him... just be disgusted by him and move on. In a way, his sickness, no matter how it hurt, helped him to do what he wanted -- keep away from people. It separated him from the healthy people, the ones who didn't want anything to do with someone whose mouth tasted almost constantly of sweet and salty copper.

Will nodded slowly as the other told him to clean up, though he didn't utter a word. He didn't even look offended -- then again, this was the sort of treatment he was used to. No one ever was really nice to him -- never had been, not with his background -- and so Will only knew to act the same in return (though in a much more docile manner). The tap was running cold water all down his hands, washing away the red until it was all gone....

Will straightened up and turned off the tap, glancing around to find any spots of blood he would need to clean up. Fortunately, there wasn't much.... Within a few minutes, all the red was gone. Will straightened up slowly and sighed. Now he would be peaceful... and alone... at least for a while.

**

Another sip from the drink. He was nearly finished now. It was fortunate that they were so high up -- there wasn't anyone else in the hallway at the moment. Either everyone had already gotten settled or they were planning to do it later.... whatever the reason, it was lucky for Pluto who was at his greatest disadvantage whenever there were people around -- especially attractive ones. Though it wasn't always attractive people, they had to be at least average -- and usually those so-called "average" people ended up people who became easily beautiful after being discovered. After realising this, Pluto had considered becoming a model scout... but, of course, like most fantasies it had been impossible while being locked away in a residential school. Now, however, it was something he could consider.... if he really wanted to do it. Well, it wasn't as if he had anything else planned.

Just as he took the last sip of his soda, someone walked across Pluto's path -- someone who most deffinately could not escape Pluto's bright saphire eyes. Brown hair... green eyes, good body.... and a sort of presence that could draw people in. And Pluto was, understandably, easily drawn in. As the other walked towards the machines, it was as if an entirely different persona took hold of Pluto. A bright gleam in his eyes and the sort of expression that simply screamed "prince charming" forming on his face, he followed the other. He tossed his empty can into the recylcing bin, eyes moving to the boy beside him.

"Has anyone ever told you that you're beautiful?" he asked, a charming smile on his lips as he stopped the other from buying his soda and, instead, pulled out some spare coins from his own pocket and quickly put them in the machine. Pluto's eyes, his expression, were incredibly enchanting... not like something that any normal person could pull of. What was more, he didn't seem even faintly embarrassed about what he had said.

Ryo sat in the back seat of the red car transporting him to his new school, and his new life. The driver glared at him through the rear-view mirror.
"Oh what now!?"
Ryo whined as he sat up.
"Can't you sit like a normal person?"
Ryo looked down at his crossed legs and smiled.
"It's more comfortable this way."
he stuck his tongue out and turned the volume up on his ipod. The song currently playing was his favorite Time of Dieing by Three Day's Grace.
Ryo sighed and slid his fingers through the mess of dark matter he called hair, thinking about what the school would be like and if he would have a roommate or not.
The car parked and Ryo smiled as the driver opened his door for him.
"Thank you sir."
he stepped out and grabed his suitcase from the trunk.
"Well Blackthorn...Here I come."

Jamie couldn't help but laugh warmly, showing a motherly side that rarely came out. Rory smirked and she mentally slapped him, which actually did hurt, since Rory is so much more than a figment of the imagination. She did feel a bit awkward when Angel had clasped her hands, but figured the girl was just warm and apprehensive like that.

"Honey, chill." She put a warm smile on instead of her politician's mask. Angel was quite adorable in this flustered state. Rory sighed. When Jamie went mother, it was hard pressed to get her back. "I'm 5'2 and was one of the shortest girls in my dorms way back. And yes, I am fat." She stuck her tongue out and poked the little fat she did own on her stomach. "Then again, every girl thinks of herself that way, regardless. It's a self-esteem thing," she shrugged. "And as for being a mutant, call it a combination of instinct and psychoanalyzing." She paused for a moment to regain her thoughts. "It's the way you carry yourself. No normal person would like to be caught in a school of mutants other than to study them, and even then it's a dangerous operation. However, you carry yourself as someone who wants to be here after a life of pain--like most of us do." Here, she smiled a sad smile, as to reassure Angel...and a bit of herself. "And you carry yourself a bit timidly, as if you didn't know what to do--which is common because of the sheltered lives a lot of mutants hold..." She realized the impact of her statement and started blushing, an odd feeling in her stomach rising, "Eheh, I read a couple books on psychology back at my old library..."

"More than a couple," a new voice came from beside her. "She practically read the entire library out, darling. Hi, Angel, I'm Rory." He gave out a heartfelt smile and opened his arms.

Jamie could feel the blood pressure rising as she stood in shock So that was the odd feeling in my stomach. Sneaky b*****d. She was gonna kill Rory after this.

Ryo scanned the area carefully, looking left to right as if in search of something. Not to many people were outside, though.
he turned and smiled sweetly to the driver.
"Thanks for taking me here, but you can go now."
Subtlty wasn't really his strong suit.
"Whatever you'd like sir. Just don't destroy the school again."
"Hey! That wasn't my fault! It was that jerk Eric who made me mad. he brought it apon himself."
"yes sir, whatever you say."
Ryo scowled and turned away as the driver left.
"jerk."
he decided to let it go and just try to smile again. He was at a new school, going to make new friends, and when he was done there he and his little brother would move away and make a new life together, just the two of them.
Another warm smile spread across his face as he imagined him and his little brother living together. it would probably be chaos.
'Whatever'
he thought to himself and started walking to his room. he took a small envelope fron his pocket and re-read the note for the hundredth time.
'Fourth Floor, room 11'
Ryo was just walking around the corner after stepping off of the elevator on an upper floor, when he spotted two people. One with Saphire eyes, one with green. The saphire-eyed boy looked like the prince charming type and Ryo decided to have some fun with him.
he ran and pretended to run and trip over an empty can of soda he had levitated out of the recyccleing bin, about four feet in front of the two boys.
"Oww!"
he yelled as he hit the ground.
It was really very funny. he hated the thought of taking drama class at his old school, but now he was so glad that he did.

((Better, I suppose.))

Pluto's gaze shifted slightly as he heard a loud thud and an "ow!" It was a little boy, by the looks of it.... maybe a first year or something. Pluto didn't really know and didn't particularly care -- not while he was under his disadvantage's illusion of "love," anyway. A small frown formed on his lips, causing his dark brows to knit together slightly above cerulean eyes. Pluto looked incredibly sexy like that, what with the way his lips pulled into the perfect frown that looked only mildly interested.

"You alright?" he asked, a bit of nonchalance in his voice. He was much more interested in Salem, though. But he wasn't about to ignore someone who had just fallen... at least, not until that someone had picked himself back up again. But his saphire eyes were soon to return to Salem's emerald orbs -- the teen really was far too attractive for his own good. He might have to drag the brunnette off somewhere if he didn't get shocked out of his Prince Charming alter ego soon.

Pale hands shifted slightly, moving to rest in the pockets of his dark jeans. When Pluto was his usual self, he had that dark and brooding look that scared some... but enticed many. He was, usually, a man of few words... but when he was affected by his disadvantage, his countenance took on an entirely different look -- a brilliant smile and gracefully gorgeous presence that drew in everyone around him. The words he spewed, too, were something that the normal Pluto would never say. Pluto had, eventually, come to think of his condition as rather a "split personality," though that wasn't quite the reality of the situation.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 28, 2008 6:33 pm

Ryo's jaw almost droped as he was ignored by the saphire-eyed boy. he stood up and brushed some dirt off his leg.

"I'm fine."

His lips curled into a scowel as he walked away.

'Cold! I mean I wasn't expecting him to run up to me and be all motherly or anything, but come on!'

He was realizing very quickly that this school was going to be as boring as every other school. And all the students would be the same as before, cold, annoying, egotistical, and conceited! He wasn't calling the Saphire-Eyed boy these things, but he assumed that others would be.

'I just want to get to my room, unpack, and hang out for a while...mabey see if Yuki has sent me a letter or not yet.'

The scowel slowly turned into a sincere smile as he thought of his brother again. Ryo knew, of course, that he would be in serious trouble if anyone found out about their letters, but his brother was his closest friend right now and that's all he needed.

He scanned the area and realized that he was about three level above where he was supposed to be. So he got on the elevator and went down to the correct floor this time.

After about ten minutes of searching, he came apon the door to his room. he smiled a bt and went in, surveyed the lay out and jumped onto the bed.

"This'll do"

Salem could sometimes be easily distracted, especially by the things he enjoyed most in life. Pretty girls, or in his case pretty people, being one of the top three. So, it was understandable that his attention had been hijacked by just the possibility of getting lucky tonight. He didn't even realize that there was someone already standing at the vending machine, which was strange because a good-looking face rarely went unnoticed by Salem's keen eyes.

He wasn't a big fan of surprises growing up, but that was mostly because the only "surprises" he could remember about his early years were bad ones; Mother's death, separation from his Father shortly followed by his death as well, abandonment at the Orphanage and then Saint Patricks'. It wasn't until he was a little older that he realized if one wanted pleasant surprises they would have to find them on thier own. On the odd occasion, however, a good surprise somehow found it's way into his lap and Salem had always found those to be the best ones of all. Today was one of those occasions.

"Has anyone ever told you that you're beautiful?"

The voice was as smooth as velvet; it actually sent a small shiver up his spine. Attached to that alluring voice, Salem soon discovered as he turned to see who had joined him, was a handsome face to match. Black, black hair, an enchanting smile and brilliantly blue eyes... How in the world did he not notice this person before now? Salem really needed to start paying more attention to his surroundings. If he had overlooked this gem, how many others had he missed over the years?

"Not today, no," Salem replied, smiling playfully. Perhaps he was coming off as arrogant ( I know I'm hot and everyone better know what a gift it is just to be sharing the same air space as me ), but such behaviour was second nature to him now so it was hard to act any other way. However, it was rather toned down compared to normal, leveling off at shamelessly flirty instead of unbearably conceeded.

"Aren't you a gentleman," he added as the other bought him a drink. It wasn't a new custom for Salem, but it was a little weird to have beautiful strangers buying him drinks outside of the pub; the alcohol in those drinks helped make the nights more fun. Oh well. Without the alcohol Salem guessed he would have to find another way to make things enjoyable, which wouldn't be too hard. In fact, he already had an idea, though none of them were very suitable for the dormitory hallway.

"Say love," Salem said as the other silently dismissed a smaller boy from the hall as quickly as he had appeared. The characteristic purr of the Irish accent rumbled behind his words a little louder then earlier; people, particularly girls, loved accents and Salem had never seen it fail to make someone's heart flutter. Besides, it was all he could do to contend with the velvet quality of this Prince's voice. "Seeing how you dropped some of your hard earned cash, it would be very rude of me to keep this all to myself. Want to share it with me?" He turned to the dark-haired stranger ( or better known as tall, dark and handsome ) and, holding the pop can in one hand, offered a suggestive smirk.

((I already loved him, but I officially love Salem more! xD

And to all the new recruits, welcome!

I love Vincent's picture... and Tai's picture couldn't possibly be a fan art of Bel, not could it? x3 I love me Belsyboop. He's my favorite little princess EVAR. <333 But he might have to tie for first because Gingerbread was just introduced in the last two updates... D: Socute! *rambles on about KHR*))

Salem was, of course, the worst sort of person for Pluto to meet when he was in his Prince Charming state. Attractive, flirtatious, and all too willing to indulge Prince Charming in his less than innocent (though elegantly presented) attentions, anything that happened with Salem would probably end up being regretted by Pluto once he "woke up." Pluto was a private person and generally non-communicative. Such a flip in personality from this overly appealing, all too flirt-happy Prince would likely serve as a shock to Salem. The first time when Pluto had "awoken" after his self-dubbed alter ego had done "unfit" things, the ebony-haired lad had been quite shocked -- not so much with his own behavior but with the person who had so easily allowed him to do such things. It had been soon after that the teen's vision of the world, its purity and its integrity had all come crashing down. Needless to say, he was a good deal more pessimisic now than he had been before.

But as for now, it was the velvety and ever-appealing Prince Charming that took hold of the reigns. "Some would call me that, I do suppose," he replied with that same perfect smile. Saphire orbs, like ice on the sea illuminated by the sun's rising, shown brilliantly through that smile. It was the look of someone who was incapable of being denied. No one could ever not feel anything when met with that smile. At the same time, though elegant and perfectly gentlemanly in both appearance and attitude, there was a deffinate seductive side to the Prince -- to the way his eyes glinted, the way his lips curved up ever so slightly to make that perfect, small smile, the way ebony hair met pale skin, the way his lean body curved slightly as he leaned against the vending machine. Though he was wearing layers, it was easy enough to see that Pluto had more than just a pleasing build. In fact, the tall teen looked to be rather impossibly and undeniably perfect no matter where the viewer saught to find fault.

At the other's offer, "Pluto"'s smile grew. Yes, people like Salem were truly dangerous for the real Pluto. The Prince, however, was perfectly happy to indulge in both his own and others' fantasies. He was, after all, perfect -- perfect in his looks and his gentlemanliness, and also in just how conceited he could secretly be because the Prince knew that he was flawless and didn't hesitate to use that to his advantage.

"That sounds like a wonderful idea," the Prince replied, the smile on his lips growing slightly. There was deffinately a pleased note in the ebony haired teen's voice -- a richness that surpassed even its usual velvety quality. The Prince shook his head slightly to dislodge the overly long, gleaming obsidian bangs that had fallen there, sending a cascade of shining, raven-tinted hair to flow freely. It was like watching a hair commercial come to life -- except better because the Prince was far more perfect than anyone on a hair commercial.
