"Huh, if you want to get philosophical about it.." But he was in no mood for debating, especially when his mind felt more like it was floating than grounded. "But yeah, I'd suppose you're right." Ronan could act like he knew everything all he wanted, but that was a blatant lie. Still, it was amusing to be so confident.
One ear flicked horizontal, grazing against Dic'es light hair as she settled near his side. Or more like right on it. He returned her grin with one of his own. "Me too. And that's why I 'suntan' all the time." But winter wasn't as nice to sit out in compared to the heaty summer. His pinkened chin rubbed numbly against the top of Dice's head, his throat rumbling to match the ringing in his head. Paradice was warm for being a slimer kitsu. It must have been her winter fur also.

The only responce Paradise's fuzzy feeling mind could really come up with to the suntanning was, "This isn't bad..." The pleasant sensation of the rubbing, and then Ronan's rumbling, elicited a soft rumbling purr from her after a moment. She liked this... and that it was Ronan doing it. She wanted to... feel more of this. It was nice...
She didn't realize she was doing it until after it was done, but her tails curled around and over his slightly, and she started rubbing her cheek against his throat. She was feeling light headed so she wasn't sure what came out, but she tried to say something along the lines of, "You're my... favorite person."

Ronan gave a silly laugh, shaking his head. "Yeah, the jello wasn't bad either." He hadn't realized how potent it was, but was starting to feel it as an aftertaste. It felt...like having hot chocolate settle in your stomach, mixed with the chill of Sprite. Odd, but entertaining all the same.
The striped bases of his tails felt her own brush against his, and they gave a non-bothered wag. His neck extended to make room for her as he gave a sigh. It didn't bother him at all, with how he was always socially open and at ease to physical contact. And this comfort of a friend along with his low buzz made him feel comfortable. It was better than sitting out in the snow, like he had been before. But rationality tugged down on him like a string on a balloon as his ear twitched to her words. Except there were clouds and wind everywhere, and Ronan decided it was only a friendly compliment. "Heh, I'm glad." He'd rather she did say that, if only to know that with him she was safe. Even if she was a tough enough girl on her own.

Paradise purred, perhaps a bit louder, at his reply. "You have nice fur... I always liked your stripes." She peered back at her own pelt forlornly. "I wish I had stripes..." Then on a rather spontaneous impulse she turned back around and licked at his cheek and the side of his muzzle before nuzzling at his chin. She wasn't even thinking about it... just did it.

A chuckle escaped the male, shaking his head lightly. What good were stripes that bright, not even helping with camouflage? "Your fur is just fine." No use wishing for what you could never have. White eyes widened to the lick so close to his muzzle, his muzzle. And Ronan was surprised by his reaction, sitting up quickly and crookedly while backing up against the wall. His eyes sealed shut and his maw twitched to the foreign and tingling feeling left there.
Striped fur now stood on end as the male sat there almost paralyzed. As trained and confident he was in his toughened life, this was still embarrassingly new to him. Thankfully his cheeks were already red due to his fur color. "M...maybe I should go now." Ronan kept his eyes closed while counting to ten calmly...ish.

Paradise sat up slowly and blinked at Ronan. For him to act like that... was not something she'd have expected. If she'd been sober... she probably would have let him go without a word, and maybe felt a bit disturbed that she of all people had managed to unnerve him like that. But she wasn't sober, and so affection and a desire for him not to leave won out over her more common sense.
She scooted a little closer and only just touched her nose to his. Tails curled gently around him while soft green eyes silently implored at his white ones. "I wish you'd stay..."

The den was small, and Ronan could hear the other moving near without having to open his white orbs. Like pressing a button, her nose to his made him blink open his sight, staring at the colorful kitsu before him. The male gave small jolts, feleing the sensation of Dice's tails curl around him like a feather soft hug. And his form suddenly felt like that jello he sipped, spiced and slipping.
This was Paradise sitting before him. Dice, the kitsu he'd know since she was nothing but new fur. But his mind was telling him to shut up, tired of the self-inflicted headache. Telling him this was nothing more than a drinking slumber to let pass. Ears pinned to her words, and Ronan darted his face forward, rubbing against her face before settling next to the base of her ear. He teeth latched on kindly before pulling off to whisper to her. "Are you sure? I don't want you hurt..." With all his senses being tickled and teased, and himself cornered..

Was she sure about this? She curled a little closer to rest her head over his shoulder. She was a big girl now... she knew what she wanted. And in one form or another hadn't Ronan always been what she wanted? The one person she ever really missed, or that she was really comfortable with. "Yes." The most simple and concise way to answer his question was that one word, wasn't it? "I'm sure..." She nuzzled into his neck.

Slumber came easy in the den, winter helping among other things to lull the body into comfortable sleep. Ronan was still near the furthest wall to the entrance, his back against the soil as he curled in on his side next to the other kitsu. His darker hued fur was obvious compared to Dice's, even with their tails blended and curled into a colorful mess. Ronan slept in breathing deep and sedately, an effect he had each time he drank. But in the very least, he didn't snore, and he slept without tossing and turning. The male nuzzled just an inch to the familiar scent next to him in his sleep, his arm draped tenderly over the lighter femme careful not to crush the other form, before he settled back into soundless dozings.

Paradise was, for all intents and purposes, dead to the world. It was probably the best she'd slept in... ever. A cozy den, a warm body to curl up with, and the sedation of the drink to combat the chill from outside had lulled her into a sleepy contentment. Tucked into Ronan's chest and with his arm draped over her, she was too relaxed to really rouse at the slight motion when he nuzzled closer. Still, a sleepy smile crossed her face and she purred reflexively, if almost inaudibly.

An airy breath escaped Ronan, and his mind nagged at him. His body felt cramped, especially on the side he laid on, with the curve of his back to the wall. The male stretched his back, limbs going out with claws extended like a cat, then going slack once content with the effect. "Hmm." Blue tails stirred to life, if only by small flicks and curls. But otherwise the kitsu was too settled to bother standing, let alone open his eyes. But they still did, and blinked tiredly to the warmth next to him. Paradise? Ronan looked wordlessly down to the other, still too groggy to concern himself with reality. He pulled the other close, not minding the pose, and wrapped limbs about her shoulders while nuzzling the top of her head. Sleep still sounded wonderful.

Paradise's tails twitched in turn when Ronan's did and though her body was just starting to wake up her mind was really still asleep even when she was shifted by Ronan's cuddling. She clumsily tried to rub the top of her head against Ronan's chin at the nuzzling, simply not awake enough to coordinate her movements. "How... spose to... make a boat with a bunny?" Apparently... she was having a rather strange dream.

Eyes were drifting shut as the kitsu still found himself much too tired. It didn't help any that it was the season to hibernate. And the more that time past, with him awake and aware, the more his mind began to file things up. His eyes opened tiredly and somewhat burdened, his nuzzling stilled as he thought. Damn himself.
Ronan untangled his arms from the other carefully before pulling his own head away from the girl, shuffling to sit upright. He eyed the bottles with nothing more than a huff, when his ear twitched to the female's voice. A glance was turned, only to realize she was asleep. Would she want him still there beside her? Or would she be better off waking alone, left to believe it was dreaming? The rogue male sat there, still and undecided to his actions and options.

It was actually the slackening of warm that finally brought Paradise back to wakefullness. Normally the movement would have been enough, but instinctually she'd known it was Ronan and not anything dangerous... but when he moved away it registered to some part of her groggy mind that he might be leaving. Her eyelids fluttered partway open and bleary eyes located Ronan's colorful pelt was still in the burrow, and she set about carefully stretching muscles that were stiff from being in one position for most of the night. Or... most of whatever time they'd been asleep, anyway, since she wasn't entirely certain when they'd fallen asleep... Though why they'd been so sleepy was swiftly coming back to her. Abruptly awakened feelings warred with her normally more detached demeanor and in the end she really didn't know what to say. The only thing that really came to mind was a quizzical, "Good morning? ...If it is morning..."

The kitsu yawned, still trying to adjust to wakefulness without shuffling about everywhere. He was horrible when it came to waking up swiftly, and another stretch was given to help his efforts. In a ways he knew he didn't want to wake up further, his unconciousness trying to protect some pride for the individual. But memories were filtering back, and he could only watch as the other kitsu stirred away. And when her eyes opened, he gave a half-grin. It was difficult to tell what the other could be thinking.
"You're awake." Ronan perked his ears and glanced to the 'door'. It was too dim to tell what hour it was, and the slivers of light coming in didn't look to be too bright. "It must be late...or early. I can't tell." Sitting still, th ekitsu busied himself with wrapping his tails around his flanks, quiet for...well, anything. He'd choose his words wisely.
