The wolf's tail flicked as he sighed looking away also, not replying to the others remark. It was a bit of both he supposed. Putting his elbow on the edge of the table he rested his cheek to the palm.
Anatu came back with the hot chocolate and blinked as it seemed the situation had gotten a bit... icey. Putting on a smile he came over and put the hot chocolate in front of Dante. "There you are! Are you sure you dont want anything Chance?"

Dante's lack of reply was troubling, but also confusing. Because he knew so little about the wolf, it was hard to know what it meant. When Anatu returned, he was tempted to ring up a pricey bill just to put Dante in an embarrassing situation, nevermind that he was friends with the establishment's owner. But Chance, while often rash and immature, was not about to do that. He liked to be responsible for his finances. He liked to pay the bill. And when he was completely broke... well he'd go hungry. He did not impose upon strangers. That was just how he was.
He turned to smile at Anatu and shook his head. "I'm fine. Did you happen to look outside? The sun glittering on the trees is lovely..."

((I can see the twisting ~ x3 BTW: Why are we so attached to these two? We seem to enjoy torturing them XD Just a random thought x3 <3 ))
Anatu looked over Chance and grinned. "I did. I always thought it was a lovely view." He purred lightly and gave Dante a small nudge. "You'll have to excuse Dante. He's not a very social type which is why it was surprising he brought you with him today." Quirking a small eyebrow at Dante his tail flicked in a small swatting matter. "Well, I have to get back to the kitchen. If you need anything give a holler ~!" At that the tiger went back to where he had emerged.
Dante couldnt help but look out the window at the trees as Chance mentioned it. It was actually quite lovely. At the nudge he looked up mildly surprised at the tiger and was about to argue, before he was swatted. Frowning he looked away, back out the window, his cheek resting to his palm and his elbow to the table. With his free hand he grabbed the hot coco and sipped at it.

(( I am not sure. xD Maybe it's the torment aspect. I know I pointed out Dante for RP because I like green and black. *dork* And because their signs were supposed to get along! ... xD;; Contrary to that belief however... we ended up with something amusing and fun at the very least. xD ))
His observation had been an idle save for their awkward situation. He wondered if Dante would notice or even care. But he had not fooled Anatu, apparently. He resisted the urge to supply a cute, "I R irresistible," reply for the tiger and merely watched the pair with some degree of interest. He heard contact when Anatu swatted Dante with his tail and wondered at the reasoning. He could guess... but, well, assuming was not feasible with this one.
Chance nodded to Anatu when he took his leave of the table, then angled his head to look at Dante. He was not rising to the bait. In fact he appeared even more sullen than before as he looked out the window again.
Swallowing a sigh, Chance relaxed against the back of his seat and turned to watch the morning light slowly creep down the trees like fingers of brightly-colored paint.

((-gigglesnort- I R cute ~ x3 -wiggles- <3
Thats true ~ XD I just formatted that part in our first RP XD Heh ~ Theyre STARTING to get along! =D ))
Ears perking at the sigh, Dante glanced out of the corner of his eye at Chance. Ears going back slighlty, his tail flicked before he sat back in his chair giving a nice stretch. "It's a nice view... I like watching the sunrises here... Its one of the reasons I tend to come in the mornings...." Besides the fact that he came to also visit with the tiger.

(( Yus, IRkyut. x3 *snicker* I was working on the newer RP and was four pages into it when Word decided to crash. b*****d. It never used to do that on '98 or 2000. Only XP. >/ I shall now use WordPad or something instead, as it does not crash... >> ))
Glancing back at the wolf curiously as he spoke, Chance watched Dante stretch. He had done so a few times now since they had sat down. Indeed, it's a nice view, he thought, before looking back outside. "I don't blame you, it's a good reason."

Resting his elbow to the table and looking out of the window he glanced at Chance quietly. Who knew being social could be so hard. Ears flicking a bit, his tail to, he took a sip of his hot chocolate. "Its a nice way to start the day..."

Start? Wasn't it the end of the day for both of them? But this was a matter of perspective, and not something that needed an argument. Nevertheless, as he replied, "It is," he thought as well, and not a bad end either. He yawned, the act partially covered by hoofed fingers. A languid stretch followed. It was becoming obvious to him that he would have to leave soon for home.
In fact... well, Dante was not offering much of anything to their discussion. Again he was left wondering why he was here, and the way he was physically feeling at the moment, these one-sided pleasantries really felt like steel wool applied to one's face. The sunrise and the cafe were lovely, but the company had left a lot to be desired.
He rose to his feet. "Well, it's been an engaging conversation, but I really must go." He watched the wolf with a bland enough expression to make questionable whether he was being snide or mind-numbingly boring. He felt like neither, simply tired. But at least he would make it home this time. He nodded to the wolf before sliding away from the table and stepping outside. He felt that there was no point in looking back, so he did not.

(( OOOOHH Dante just got pwned x3 -gigglesnort- Anywho ~ Im just going to start the new one :3 Night time = bar + semi-wasted wolfieboy = Happytimes! ;3))
Dante's tail wiggled slightly as he knocked back another shot ears going back as the taste hit him, giving him a shiver and he made a small face before recovering. It's been a LOOOOONG day and it had been exhausting.
He didnt enjoy going drinking with much of anyone finding that they ended up wasted before him and were obnoxious to deal with. It wasnt any fun. Summoning more alcohol from the bartender he sat and waited, watching the door momentarily.
The wolf had been there long enough as it was, his mind was pretty much blank and there was that warm tingling sensation you get when drunk. He couldnt help but smirk at himself finding it amusing ~
This wolf actually NEEDED to be buzzed at least a little bit to enjoy himself, he was naturally to up tight.
((-gigglesnort- Chance is going to have a VERY drunk and 'carefree' wolf on his hands x3 ))

(( Hm, maybe that pwnage will carry over into how they meet this time. xD ))
Chance's ears were ringing with the sound of cracking billiard balls. It was a homey sound, almost as comforting as the sound of shuffling poker cards. His little corner of the bar was smoky and everything was tinted faintly green and gold. The unicorn smirked as he watched the newest combatants pace around the pool table. He had made a killing tonight betting both on his games and others.
It did not make up for the other night... but, well. That was then. Tonight... he was at the top of his game.
The unicorn smirked and waved at a few of the guys, bowing out of any more betting. He was done for now. Time to... celebrate. Looking toward the bar, he found a few open spaces and snagged one, sliding onto the bar stool without looking to either side of him. It wasn't until the drink came that he looked around, faint smile still on his face.

(( XD Maybe ~ :3 -tempted to have Dante NOT remember- x3 <3))
Dante's ears flicked slightly to the side as he heard the sound of the sliding next to him. Curiously he glanced over seeing the unicorn. Canting his head he blinked a couple times... Where... had...he seen him before? It turned out he was more staring than anything, his brow creased as he thought about it...
Wait for it... wait for it... Oh! Oh! THAT was it! It was the unicorn he had found outside the last time. WHat was his name again... Looking down at his drink his tial flickeda s he made a face... Charlie... Change... Ch...Ch... Chance~! Proud of himself he sipped at his drink. That wsa it. It was Chance the unicorn he hadnt talked to!
Wasnt that plesant? Looking over at the unicorn once again he had a small smirk on his face, had something to do with the alcohol... "Fancy meeting you here ~"

(( Then my editing the post would have been for naught~ ;_; ))
Chance was grinning at someone. Yeah, I got you tonight. And with a negatory shake of the head, passing on another round... of whatever game it was the other guy was offering. He was in too good a mood, had made too much of a killing. The other night... he had been "sure" to win. Tonight, the only "certain" way to stay on the winning side was to stop while he was ahead. Next time, then, with a wave of the hand. And a nod, Of course, of course. It was all in the body language. There was no way to speak loud enough through the crowd without everyone else in the bar listening.
It was a lot different than the day he had first seen Dante. Flushed under white fur, not from alcohol (yet?) but from exhilaration. He was grinning and open to his surroundings, a different person, almost, from back then.
In the same way, when he heard the strangely-inflected tone of an almost-familiar voice (after all, Dante had not spoken all that much previously), the unicorn did not recognize it at first. Dante... did not do happy, in Chance's short experience.
The unicorn spun slowly in his chair to regard the green-furred wolf and looked at him blankly for a moment. Some stranger with a cliché for a pick-up line? He frowned slightly. The face was familiar...
Ah yes, the "Inferno of Ice." Little pun on Dante's Inferno.
Chance nodded, hiding amusement behind his glass. "Dante, right?"

(( -gigglesnosrts at the pun- X3 ))
"It is ~" He gave a plesant smile of sorts as he nodded. "Chance right?" Names had only been breifly mentioned at the table at the cafe though he had figured out the others name (gleegully might I add) by himself. Without asking... He was just checking...
Obviously the wolf was in a much better and far more social mood than before, maybe it would work to his advantage this time. Though, he could just end up in trouble again like the time before... But thats a long story and wasnt much a of a fun memory.
Taking a drink form his glass he looekd abck over, "Do you come her often?" Personally he'd never seen the unicorn but it could have been because of 1 of 2 reasons. A. He never noticed the unicorn since he didnt "know" him or B. He didnt come all that often hismelf. Then again... It could be C. All of the above.

(( Glee~ x3 ))
Oh. My. Gawd. Chance hid his expression behind a swig of wonderfully strong alcohol, followed closely by a second order.
So his head wasn't too far up his a** to remember Chance's name. That, or the unicorn was wearing a name tag. Best not to check. The fact that he cared that much, or that he had stuck out in the wolf's mind enough, for him to remember was encouraging. "Riiight~" The unicorn was wearing a broad grin. Enough of it was sincere to convey an expression of warmth.
"Often?" Heh... "Well, honestly, I don't like to stick around any one place long enough for them to remember my name. The locals..." he held his glass out, gesturing vaguely toward the gaming section of the bar, "would stop welcoming me, if you get my drift." He squinted a little in thought. They were beginning to know him a little too well. Tonight might just have to be his last visit. A pity... he liked this place. Present company, possibly, included. A shame the pair would likely not find out, he decided, turning back to Dante.
