It was that fierce determination that M'xan and Enelth both showed that had captured much of Blyir's respect. With such fierce vehemence there was no way they could lose next flight! No way!

"Hopefully he kept himself out of trouble, and found some Weyrlings who think commonly to us. This new generation of riders however seem to have such disrespect for traditions." This worried Blyir more than she let on. For it was only to be expected that young riders - who were not even alive during times of tradition - would not understand their importance. "When conferring with these new riders we must make sure they see and understand our ways of thinking."

She nodded sharply, refusing to lose heart over such a matter. She would continue to fight for her beliefs as long as her lungs drew breath.

"When you become Weryleader again, encouraging them to our ways will be much easier." She gave a wry smirk, not 'if' but 'when'. Positive thinking always helped in such situations.

I thought you wouldn't predict flights? Waroth rumbled sleepily from his roost.

No love, and I'm not. I'm merely stating that one of Ariath's flights will be Enelth's. Perhaps not her next, but she can't outfly him forever, M'xan will make sure of it.

M'xan has no wings. Waroth sounded as if he was speaking through a yawn.

You are tired, get some rest dear one.

You will sleep soon?

Not just yet, I still have buisness to attend to. With that she turned her attention once again to her wingleader, "were you heading anywhere in particular?"

With a small smirk, the old bronzerider noted the confidence she place in Enelth and himself. When, not if. Yes, when indeed...

"Yes, I did notice that about the candidates. Didn't even realize that there were full-sized dragons about, so incompetent they are." He scowled. "You would think that they might have been taught that by the sorry excuse they have for a Candidatemaster."

The Weyrlings will see. Especially if they are put in our wing.

They are a long way off from that. M'xan sent back firmly. Still, it might be beneficial. He did not tolerate failure in his wing, and prolonged exposure to Blyir, S'dar, and himself while flying Fall might show them the wisdom in their ideals. A though worth considering. And then there was the matter of the Candidatemaster herself. That had been an unsuccesful plan on their part, but it still could be implemented when he resumed his position as Weyrleader.

Blyir would make a fine Candidatemaster. Enelth hummed. From the content tone, M'xan guessed that the bronze was back in their weyr, instead of on the rim of the Weyrbowl.

That is why, when you fly Ariath, she will be replacing the current Candidatemaster.

You will have to fight the Weyrwoman for that. She likes green Moth's rider.

M'xan gave a dissmisive mental wave, before turning to address Blyir once again. "Only back to my weyr to make sure my riding straps are fir for Fall." he said, then cocked an eyebrow. "You?"

She had remained quiet whilst M'xan conversed with his dragon, taking note of the usual gaze that settled upon a rider's face during such a time. The unfocusing of the eyes that seemed almost glazed in their sockets.

"Fall...yes, I must say it'll be good to do the job we were born to do. Fly in fighting wings against an enemy only we can beat." She was obviously very proud of her duty as a dragonrider. "Once the thread begins to fall we can further prove that we are the best riders for the job. Just make sure you get enough rest, you and Enelth will need to be at full strength, you never know when that Queen might rise again. Being the only egg-producing Queen in the Weyr, mating flights will occurr more often than if there were two or three of them inhabiting the place."

She gave the rider a fond smile, "remember, on that day we won't have just Tallith to worry about, there'll be plenty of other bronzes there who will be willing to catch their golden prize." She reached forth, giving M'xan's shoulder a friendly squeeze to show him she had complete faith in his skills.

Enelth was a wise beast with experience that gave him an advantage in this situation.

"I think I'll be heading back to my own weyr too. Waroth sleeps and I think I could do with a rest after today's event too." With that she turned and headed off, form lost to the gloom of the corridors.

On the way down the halls to the bowl entrance, Remia explaining to Trith that Orana would be helping now, as well, as they walked.

Am I too much trouble? Trith asked, craning her head around on her neck, eyes whirling at a slightly faster speed.

Oh, no, no, never, my love! Orana is just depressed that she wasn't chosen at the Impression, and I thought to cheer her up. And if she knows what she's about, she will have a better chance at the next hatching. At least that's my thought. Remia stopped and placed her hand on the dragonets head, scratching an eye ridge gently.

Trith leaned into the touch, then replied, The dragon always knows, and she wasn't right for any of the others. You are right for me.

Of course I am, and you are right for me, my dear green. But human emotions are complicated, and she feels left out. If she starts to doubt, then how will her chances go?

I guess you are right. Can we go bathe now? I have an itch on my spine, and the brush feels good on itches.

Remia laughed, "Alright! We'll walk slowly, though, so that Orana can find us, okay?"

Orana came running down the corridor halls early in the morning. She had finished oiling her two flits. "Hey Remia Trith." She said huffing Malathan had been being her usual picky self when it came to being oiled "Sorry I am a bit late. Mal was being picky as usual" She smiled at them both.

Ithean and Malathan flew after quickly and chirped.

"How are you both this morning?" she asked Remia and Trith hoping Remia would send the message over to her dragon.

Remia smiled, waving at her friend. "No worries, Orana, we weren't waiting but a minute.

Trith reached her nose up towards the flits and her eyes whirled green.

Remia smiled, and said, "Alright! First we wash, then we oil, and then we eat!" she nodded to punctuate the sentence, gesturing to out to the lake for bathing the dragonet.

Trith mumbled happily at this proclamation, and followed eagerly, craning her neck to look at them both if they seemed to be slowing.

((is there a weyrbowl, thread? We should probably move there, then. XD all this moving about!))

((Yeah there is I will await your post in that thread))

Orana nodded To the weyr bowl then?" Orana said smiling she stetched her arms and began to walk beside her friend.

Ithean staired back at Trith and circled above the little green dragon and then landed on Orana's shoulder.

Malathan peered at the green curiously and chirped
